Petroleum System of the Sufyan Depression at the Eastern Margin of a Huge Strike-slip Fault Zone in Central Africa

The present paper mainly studies the petroleum system of the Sufyan Depression in the Muglad Basin of central Africa and analyzes its control of hydrocarbon accumulation. On the basis of comprehensive analysis of effective source rock, reservoir bed types and source-reservoir-seal assemblages, petroleum system theory has been used to classify the petroleum system of the Sufyan Depression. Vertically, the Sufyan Depression consists of two subsystems. One is an Abu Gabra subsystem as a self generating, accumulating and sealing assemblage. The other subsystem is composed of an Abu Gabra source rock, Bentiu channel sandstone reservoir and Darfur group shale seal, which is a prolific assemblage in this area. Laterally, the Sufyan Depression is divided into eastern and western parts with separate hydrocarbon generation centers more than 10 000 m deep. The potential of the petroleum system is tremendous. Recently, there has been a great breakthrough in exploration. The Sufyan C-1 well drilled in the central structural belt obtained high-yielding oil flow exceeding 100 tons per day and controlled geologic reserves of tens of millions of tons. The total resource potential of the Sufyan Depression is considerable. The central structural belt is most favorable as an exploration and development prospect.

Based on the rational system of Legendre rational functions,we construct two set of new interpolation basis functions on the unbounded *** explicit expressions are derived,and fast and stable algorithms are provided for computing the new basis *** applications,new rational collocation methods based on these new basis functions are proposed for solving various second-order differential equations on the unbounded *** experiments illustrate that our new methods are more effective and stable than the existing collocation methods.

Thermodynamic assessment of Mg-Ni-Y system focusing on long-period stacking ordered phases in the Mg-rich corner

The long-period stacking ordered phases(LPSOs) in Mg-Ni-Y system have been attracting great interest as effective strengthening components because of their unique structural characteristics and deformation ***,the phase relationships in LPSOs are complicated and unclear,which restricts the design of advanced magnesium-based *** aim of the present work is to experimentally determine the phase equilibria relationships focusing on LPSOs and establish the thermodynamic description for Mg-Ni-Y *** types of LPSOs,that is,14H,12R,18R and 10H,are confirmed through equilibrated alloys and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HR-TEM).The formation enthalpies of LPSOs(14H,12R,18R and 10H) are calculated based on density functional theories(DFT) calculations.A new ternary compound,termed as τ phase,is observed for the first time which is likely to be the distorted structure of 12R as determined from the TEM image which shows a 12-layer closed packing plane distance of 3.252nm and a shear angle of 83.2°between(0002) and(10■0) *** on the determined phase equilibria relationship,the Mg-Ni-Y system is assessed and a selfconsistent description is obtained where the LPSOs are modeled as the stoichiometric *** comparison between the calculation result and experimental data suggests the accuracy of the present thermodynamic database in the Mg-rich corner.

Molecular and biological characterization of melon-infecting squash leaf curl China virus in China

It has been reported that squash leaf curl China virus(SLCCNV)infects some Cucurbitaceae crops except for melon(Cucumis melo L.).A new disease of melon exhibiting severe leaf curl and dwarfing was observed in Hainan Province of *** this study,the pathogen was identified as SLCCNV through biological and molecular *** isolate(SLCCNV-HN)possess a bipartite genome,DNA-A(HM566112.1)with the highest nucleotide identity(99%)to SLCCNV-Hn(MF062251.1)pumpkin and SLCCNV-Hn61(AM260205.1)squash isolates from China,whereas DNA-B(HM566113.1)with the highest nucleotide identity(99%)to SLCCNV-Hn(MF062252.1).Phylogenetic analyses based on the full-length SLCCNV-HN DNA-A and-B sequences indicated that SLCCNV-HN melon isolate is clustered with SLCCNV-Hn pumpkin,SLCCNV-Hn61 and SLCCNV-SY squash isolates from southern China,forming an independent *** clone of SLCCNV-HN was constructed and the melon plants were inoculated and the infection rate is 100%,the systemic symptoms in melon showed identical to those of melon plants infected in ***,melon plants transmission of this virus by Bemisia tabaci with a transmission rate of 95%(19/20)showed leaf curl and dwarf symptoms 15 days post transmission,thereby fulfilling Koch’s *** of genomic organization and phylogenetic trees indicated that SLCCNV-HN melon isolate belongs to the Begomovirus *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first characterization of meloninfecting SLCCNV through its genome,infectious clone and transmission.

A sparse representation method for image-based surface defect detection

In this paper, an efficient sparse representation-based method is presented for detecting surface defects. The proposed method uses the sparse degree of coefficient in the redundant dictionary for checking whether the test image is defective or not, and the binary representation of the defective images is obtained, according to the global coefficient feature. Owing to the requirements for the efficiency and detecting quality, the block proximal gradient operator is introduced to speed up the online dictionary learning. Considering the correlation among the testing samples, prior knowledge is applied in the orthogonal-matching-pursuit sparse representation algorithm to improve the speed of sparse coding. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed detection method can effectively detect and extract the defects of the surface images, and has broad applicability.

Reversible Properties of Monoid Crossed Products

We study the reversible properties of monoid crossed products. The new class of strongly CM-reversible rings is introduced and characterized. This class of rings is a generalization of those of strongly reversible rings, skew strongly reversible rings and strongly M-reversible rings. Some well-known results on this subject are generalized and extended.

Mapping subgenomic promoter of coat protein gene of Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus

Many plant viruses utilize subgenomic RNA as gene expression strategy, therefore mapping subgenomic promoter(SGP) is extremely important for constructing viral vectors. Although Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus(CGMMV)-based virus vectors have been constructed, SGP of the coat protein(CP) has not yet mapped. To this end, we firstly presumed 13 nucleotides upstream of the start codon as the transcription starting site(TSS) as previous study identified by random amplification of c DNA ends(RACE). Secondly, the region from nucleotides –110 to +175 is the putative CP SGP, as predicted, a long stem loop structure by the secondary structure of RNA covering movement protein(MP) and CP. To map the CGMMV CP SGP, we further constructed a series of deletion mutants according to RNA secondary structure prediction. The deletion of TSS upstream significantly enhanced CP transcription when 105 nucleotides were retained before the CP TSS. For the downstream of CP TSS, we analyzed the expression of enhanced green fluorescent protein(EGFP) in a series of vectors with partial deletion of the CGMMV CP and found that the nucleotides from +71 to +91 played a key role in the EGFP expression at the transcription level, while EGFP showed the highest expression level when 160 nucleotides were retained downstream of the CP TSS. To confirm these results, we applied online software MEME to predict the motifs and cis-acting elements in the 466 nucleotides covering the sequences of deletion analysis. Conserved motifs and relative acting elements were in regions in which transcription levels were the highest or enhanced. To our best knowledge, this is the first mapping of CGMMV SGP.

Synthesis,Characterization,and DNA Binding Properties of Dinuclear Copper(Ⅱ) Complex [Cu_2(TATP)_2(L-Leu)_2(ClO_4)_2]_2·2H_2O

A dinuclear copper（Ⅱ） complex[Cu2（TATP）2（L-Leu）2（CIO4）2]2·2H2Owas synthesized and characterized, where, TATP=1,4,8,9-tetraazatriphenylene, and L-Leu=L-leucinate. The complex was crystallized in the triclinic space group P1, with two independent molecules in a unit cell. Two Cu（Ⅱ） ions in each complex [Cu2（TATP）2（L-Leu）2（CIO4）2] molecule were found to be in different coordination geometries, i.e., Cu2 or Cu4 of a distorted square-pyramidal geometry coordinated with two nitrogens of TATP, the amino nitrogen and one carboxylate oxygen of L-Leu and one oxygen of perchlorate, and Cul or Cu3 with an octahedral geometry coordinated with the above stated similar coordinated atoms, and another carboxylate oxygen of L-Leu coordinating to Cu2 or Cu4. The complex can interact with CT-DNA by an intercalative mode and cleave pBR322 DNA in the presence of ascorbate.
