Benzothiadiazole(BT)is an electron-deficient unit with fused aromatic core,which can be used to construct conjugated polymers for application in organic solar cells(OSCs).In the past twenty years,huge numbers of conjugated polymers based on BT unit have been developed,focusing on the backbone engineering(such as by using different copolymerized building blocks),side chain engineering(such as by using linear or branch side units),using heteroatoms(such as F,O and S atoms,and CN group),etc.These modifications enable BT-polymers to exhibit distinct absorption spectra(with onset varied from 600 nm to 1000 nm),different frontier energy levels and crystallinities.As a consequence,BT-polymers have gained much attention in recent years,and can be simultaneously used as electron donor and electron acceptor in OSCs,providing the power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)over 18%and 14%in non-fullerene and all-polymer OSCs.In this article,we provide an overview of BT-polymers for OSCs,from donor to acceptor,via selecting some typical BT-polymers in different periods.We hope that the summary in this article can invoke the interest to study the BT-polymers toward high performance OSCs,especially with thick active layers that can be potentially used in large-area devices.

BACKGROUND Gastrinoma is characterized by an excessive release of gastrin,leading to hypersecretion of gastric acid,subsequently resulting in recurrent peptic ulcers,chronic diarrhea,and even esophageal strictures.This case report aims to improve awareness and facilitate early diagnosis and treatment of gastrinoma by presenting a rare case of gastrinoma with refractory benign esophageal stricture(RBES).Additionally,it highlights the persistent challenges that gastroenterologists encounter in managing RBES.CASE SUMMARY This case demonstrates a patient with gastrinoma who developed RBES and complete esophageal obstruction despite management with maximal acid suppressive therapy,multiple endoscopic bougie dilations and endoscopic incisional therapy(EIT).CONCLUSION It is essential to diagnose gastrinoma as early as possible,as inadequately controlled acid secretion over an extended period increases the risk of developing severe esophageal strictures.In patients with esophageal strictures causing complete luminal obstruction,blind reopening EIT presents challenges and carries a high risk of perforation.

What is already known about this topic?Given the challenges presented by drug-resistant strains of tuberculosis(TB)and the rising mobility of the population,achieving the objective of eradicating TB appears uncertain.What is added by this report?The examination of TB incidence trends in 10 highburden countries(HBCs)indicated a steady rise in cases,with India and China jointly accounting for nearly 70%of the burden.Projections for the future show diverse trajectories in these countries,with potential difficulties in reaching the TB elimination target,especially in Nigeria,Congo,and South Africa.What are the implications for public health practice?The number of TB cases is on the rise.It is crucial to learn from successful strategies to improve TB prevention and control worldwide through collaborative efforts.

A Bio-Inspired Integration Model of Basal Ganglia and Cerebellum for Motion Learning of a Musculoskeletal Robot

It is a significant research direction for highly complex musculoskeletal robots that how to develop the ability of motion learning and generalization.The cooperations of multiple brain regions are crucial to improving motion performance.Inspired by the neural mechanisms of structures,functions,and interconnections of basal ganglia and cerebellum,a biologically inspired integration model for motor learning of musculoskeletal robots is proposed.Based on the neural characteristics of the basal ganglia,the basal ganglia actor network,which mainly simulates the dorsal striatum,outputs motion commands,and the basal ganglia critic network,which simulates the ventral striatum,estimates actionstate values.Their network parameters are updated using the soft actor-critic method.Based on the sensorimotor prediction mechanism of the cerebellum,the cerebellum network evaluates the state feature extraction quality of the basal ganglia actor network and then updates the weights of its feature layer.This learning method is proven to converge to the optimal policy.Furthermore,drawing on the mechanism of dopaminergic dynamic regulation in the basal ganglia,the adaptive adjustment of target entropy and the dopaminergic experience replay are proposed to further improve the integration model,which contributes to the exploration-exploitation trade-off of motor learning.The bio-inspired integration model is validated on a musculoskeletal system.Experimental results indicate that this model can effectively control the musculoskeletal robot to accomplish the motion task from random starting locations to random target positions with high precision and robustness.

Effect of solidification mode on microstructure evolution and properties of magnesium alloy with long-period stacking ordered phase

The solidification methods of electromagnetic stirring(EMS)and non-electromagnetic stirring were employed to prepare Mg–6Gd–3Y–xZn–0.6Zr(x=1,1.5,2,3)alloys.The evolution of alloy microstructures and the changes in properties were analyzed for different Zn contents.It has been observed that in alloys without electromagnetic stirring,as the Zn content increases,the alloy structure gradually refines.The primary second phase transitions from Mg5RE phase to long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)phase,resulting in improved hardness and elongation.In alloys subjected to electromagnetic stirring,there is a relatively higher content of the second phase,primarily consisting of LPSO phase.After applying electromagnetic stirring,the quantity and the type of LPSO phase in the alloy change.The alloy structure becomes more uniform with electromagnetic stirring,resulting in increased hardness and reduced hardness gradients within the grains.The mechanical properties of alloys with electromagnetic stirring are superior to those without electromagnetic stirring.

A charge transfer complex(CTC)-enabled photoreduction of ether phosphonium salts for the generation of oxyalkyl radicals was described.The photoreduction provides a convenient method to achieve selective oxyalkylation of enamides with broad substrate scope.The method features operational simplicity,mild and inherent green conditions.

BACKGROUND Acute appendicitis is the most common abdominal emergency.At present,the main treatments for periappendiceal abscess include antibiotics and surgery.However,the complications and mortality of emergency surgery are high.The preferred therapy is conservative treatment with antibiotics first,ultrasound-guided puncture drainage or surgical treatment is followed when necessary.Endoscopic retrograde appendicitis therapy(ERAT)for acute uncomplicated appendicitis have been proved clinically effective,but it is rarely used in periap-pendiceal abscess.CASE SUMMARY We report a patient admitted to hospital because of“right lower abdominal pain for six days”.The computerized tomography(CT)of patient showed that appendicitis with fecaliths and abscess in the pelvis.The patient was treated by CT-guided puncture and drainage of abdominal abscess combined with ERAT to remove appendiceal fecaliths,irrigation and stent placement.CONCLUSION The patient did not receive surgery because of impoverished family.Abdominal pain did not recur during the follow-up period.This case confirms the value of ERAT in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess.

Can Industrial Structure Upgrading Restrain Industrial Land Expansion?Evidence from China

China has made great achievements in industrial development and is transforming into a powerful manufacturing country.Meanwhile,the industrial land scale is also expanding.However,whether industrial structure upgrading achieves the purpose of restraining industrial land expansion remains unanswered.By calculating the industrial land structure index(ILSI)and industrial land expansion scale(ILES),this study analyzed their temporal and spatial distribution characteristics at both regional and city levels from 2007to 2020 in China.Results show that industrial land expansion presents a different trend in the four regions,the ILES in the eastern region is the largest,and the speed of industrial land expansion has declined since 2013,but it has gradually increased since 2016.The ILSI of the eastern and central regions is higher than that of the western and northeastern regions.Furthermore,a spatial Durbin model(SDM)has been established to estimate the spatial effect of industrial structure upgrading on industrial land expansion from 2007 to2020.Notably,industrial structure upgrading has not slowed industrial land expansion.The eastern and western regions require a greater amount of industrial land while upgrading the industrial structure.The improvement of the infrastructure level and international trade level has promoted industrial land expansion.

The study of modern pollen,and vegetation can improve the accuracy of paleoenvironmental reconstruction based on fossil pollen data.A total of 188 pollen surface samples were collected from Southern Xinjiang(34°00’–43°00’N,74°00’–94°00’E)in China,with an elevation range of 888–4530 m.Surface pollen and vegetation were studied in the northern region of the Kunlun Mountains and the southern region of the Tianshan Mountains.The results showed that the surface pollen assemblages on the southern slope of the Tianshan Mountains(3530–1124 m)were divided into three pollen zones,namely,montane steppe,montane desert steppe,and montane desert.These zones were dominated by Artemisia,chenopodiaceae,and Ephedra pollen.The surface pollen assemblages in the eastern Pamir Plateau(4530–1287 m)could be divided into alpine meadow,montane desert steppe,and montane desert zones,which were predominantly characterized by Artemisia,chenopodiaceae,and Asteraceae pollen.However,the Southern Tarim Basin(3548–888 m)comprised montane desert steppe and montane desert zones,which was dominated by Artemisia and chenopodiaceae pollen.The geographic distribution of the surface pollen sites obtained using ArcGIS,the R-value,and Pearson correlation analyses indicated that the over-represented Picea and Pinus pollen were of external origin and were transported by wind,water(rivers),and ice(glacier movement).Over-representation of Ephedra and Nitraria pollen was mainly distributed in the montane desert and desert steppe zones,respectively.Pollen from chenopodiaceae and Artemisia were over-represented and broadly distributed across Southern Xinjiang.Juglans pollen was concentrated in areas with walnut trees,strongly indicating the presence of local parent plants.According to the Hybrid Singleparticle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory model,more Pinus pollen was transported to the Pamir region by external airflows during spring and summer,resulting in its higher surface pollen content.Research elucidating the relationship between modern pollen and vegeta
