Mobile Web Augmented Reality in 5G and Beyond:Challenges, Opportunities, and Future Directions

The popularity of wearable devices and smartphones has fueled the development of Mobile Augmented Reality(maR),which provides immersive experiences over the real world using techniques,such as computer vision and deep ***,the hardware-specific maR is costly and heavy,and the App-based maR requires an additional download and installation and it also lacks cross-platform *** limitations hamper the pervasive promotion of *** paper argues that mobile Web AR(MWAR)holds the potential to become a practical and pervasive solution that can effectively scale to millions of end-users because MWAR can be developed as a lightweight,cross-platform,and low-cost solution for end-to-end delivery of *** main challenges for making MWAR a reality lie in the low efficiency for dense computing in Web browsers,a large delay for real-time interactions over mobile networks,and the lack of *** good news is that the newly emerging 5G and Beyond 5G(B5G)cellular networks can mitigate these issues to some extent via techniques such as network slicing,device-to-device communication,and mobile edge *** this paper,we first give an overview of the challenges and opportunities of MWAR in the 5G *** we describe our design and development of a generic service-oriented framework(called MWAR5)to provide a scalable,flexible,and easy to deploy MWAR *** evaluate the performance of our MWAR5 system in an actually deployed 5G trial network under the collaborative configurations,which shows encouraging ***,we also share the experiences and insights from our development and deployment,including some exciting future directions of MWAR over 5G and B5G networks.

Development of glyphosate-tolerant transgenic cotton plants harboring the G2-aroA gene

Given that glyphosate weed control is an effective strategy to reduce costs and improve economic outcomes of agricultural production in China,the development of glyphosate-resistant cotton holds great *** an Agrobacterium-mediated transformation method,a new G2-aroA gene that encodes 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase（EPSPS）was transformed into cotton cultivar *** transgenic cotton plants were regenerated from a callus tissue culture via kanamycin *** regenerated cotton plants were obtained and allowed to flower normally to produce *** results from polymerase chain reaction（PCR）and Southern and Western blot analyses indicated that the target gene was integrated into the cotton chromosome and was expressed effectively at the protein *** glyphosate tolerance analysis showed that the transgenic cotton had a high resistance to ***,even cotton treated with 45.0 mmol L^–1 of glyphosate was able to slowly grow,bloom and *** transgenic cotton may be used for cotton breeding research of glyphosate-tolerant cotton.

Follicle-stimulating hormone promotes proliferation of cultured chicken ovarian germ cells through protein kinases A and C activation

The study was conducted to investigate the effects of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) on embryonic chicken ovarian germ cell proliferation and its possible involvements of protein kinases A (PKA) and C (PKC) *** cells were treated with FSH alone or in the presence of forskolin (FRSK),PKA inhibitor (H89),PKC activator (Pma) or inhibitor (H7).The germ cell number was counted from *** immunocytochemistry of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was applied to identify the proliferating *** germ cell labeling index (LI) was determined for cell *** FSH treatment increased the germ cell number,and this stimulating effect was enhanced by FRSK or Pma,but inhibited by H89 or H7 in a dose-dependent ***,the PCNA-LI showed parallel changes with germ cell *** study suggests that FSH may stimulate proliferation of cultured chicken ovarian germ cells by activation of both the PKA and PKC signaling pathways.

manganese oxides are regarded as one of the most promising cathode materials in rechargeable aqueous Zn-ion batteries(ZIBs)because of the low price and high ***,the practical application of Mn2O3 in ZIBs is still plagued by the low specific capacity and poor rate ***,highly crystalline Mn2O3 materials with interconnected mesostructures and controllable pore sizes are obtained via a ligand-assisted self-assembly process and used as high-performance electrode materials for reversible aqueous *** coordination degree between Mn2+and citric acid ligand plays a crucial role in the formation of the mesostructure,and the pore sizes can be easily tuned from 3.2 to 7.3 *** to the unique feature of nanoporous architectures,excellent zinc-storage performance can be achieved in ZIBs during charge/discharge *** Mn2O3 electrode exhibits high reversible capacity(233 mah g−1 at 0.3 A g−1),superior rate capability(162 mah g−1 retains at 3.08 A g−1)and remarkable cycling durability over 3000 cycles at a high current rate of 3.08 A g−***,the corresponding electrode reaction mechanism is studied in depth according to a series of analytical *** results suggest that rational design of the nanoporous architecture for electrode materials can effectively improve the battery performance.

Optimizing Mechanical Properties of AlCoCrFeNiTi_x High-Entropy Alloys by Tailoring Microstructures

The effects of Ti additions and the heat treatment on the mechanical properties of AlCoCrFeNiTix （x = 0, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5） high-entropy alloys （HEAs） were studied. The results show that the dendrite phase with a body-centered-cubic （bcc） structure transforms into the interdendrite phase with a new bcc structure. With the increase of the Ti contents and heat-treatment temperature, the average hardness and yield strengths are greatly improved, and the highest hardness and yielding strength are 583 HV and 2.07 GPa, respectively in the investigated HEA system. The as-cast and annealed HEAs exhibit excellent mechanical properties, combining with high yielding strength and plasticity. The solid solution strengthening mechanism of Ti additions is responsible for the strengthening effect of AlCoCrFeNiTix HEAs.

Novel guanidinium-based ionic liquids as stationary phases for capillary gas chromatography

The present study describes guanidinium-based ionic liquids（GBILs） as stationary phases for capillary gas chromatography （CGC） and to the best of our knowledge,no related reports are available up to *** this study,a hexaalkylguanidinium ionic liquid（DOTMG-NTf;） was synthesized and coated statically onto capillary *** of the stationary phase was evaluated by separating Grob test mixture,test mixture,alcohols mixture,and fatty acid methyl esters mixture,and thermal stability was investigated as *** present study demonstrates that GBILs as CGC stationary phases exhibit satisfactory selectivity and thermal stability and have a great potential as new candidates for CGC stationary phases.

Synthesis characterization and improved electrochemical performance of Li2FeSiO4/C as cathode for lithium-ion battery by metal doping

In this paper, Li2FeSi0.98M0.02O4/C（M = Mg, Zn, Co, Mn, Ni） was synthesized as cathode material for lithium ion battery by solid-state method. The results show that the materials doped with Mg and Zn at the Si-sites have good initial discharge capacity. Then Li2FeSi1-xMxO4/C（M = Mg, Zn; x = 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05） were also synthesized via solid-state method. It is concluded that Li2FeSi0.99Mg0.01O4/C and Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C have better initial discharge capacity which is 125 mah/g and 166.2 mah/g, respectively. The capacity of Li2Fe0.98Zn0.02SiO4/C is 157.3 m Ah/g after 10 cycles at 0.1 C, and the capacity retention rate is 94.6%. The Li+diffusion coefficient of Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C is higher than that of pure phase materials by one order of magnitude. The Li2FeSi0.99Mg0.01O4/C and Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C were tested by XRD and SEM. XRD patterns indicate that the crystal structure of Li2FeSiO4is not changed after being doped with metal ion at the Si-site. The SEM image indicates that no obvious agglomeration is detected in these materials. Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C processes better electrochemical performance analyzed by EDS、XPS and FT-IR spectra. The data prove that Si4+is successfully replaced by Zn2+in the crystal structure of Li2FeSiO4.

A novel differential multiuser detection algorithm for multiuser MIMO-OFDM systems

We propose an efficient low bit error rate(BER) and low complexity multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) multiuser detection(MUD) method for use with multiuser MIMO orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) *** is a hybrid method combining a multiuser-interference-cancellation-based decision feedback equalizer using error feedback filter(MIMO MIC DFE-EFF) and a differential *** proposed method,termed 'MIMO MIC DFE-EFF with a differential algorithm' for short,has a multiuser feedback *** describe the schemes of MIMO MIC DFE-EFF and MIMO MIC DFE-EFF with a differential algorithm,and compare their minimum mean square error(MMSE) performance and computational *** results show that a significant performance gain can be achieved by employing the MIMO MIC DFE-EFF detection algorithm in the context of a multiuser MIMO-OFDM system over frequency selective Rayleigh *** MIC DFE-EFF with the differential algorithm improves both computational efficiency and BER performance in a multistage structure relative to conventional DFE-EFF,though there is a small reduction in system performance compared with MIMO MIC DFE-EFF without the differential algorithm.
