SO2 Emission Characteristics and BP Neural Networks Prediction in MSW/Coal Co-Fired Fluidized Beds

The SO2 emission characteristics of typical Msw components and their mixtures have been investigated in a φ150mm fluidized bed. Some influencing factors of SO2 emission in MSW fluidized bed incinerator were found out in this study. The SO2 emission is increasing with the growth of the bed temperature, and it is rising with the increasing oxygen concentration at furnace exit. When the weight percentage of auxiliary coal is being raised, the conversion rate of S to SO2 is largely going up. The SO2 emission decreases if the desulfurizing agent （CaCO3） is added during the incineration process, but the desulfurizing efficiency is weakened with the enhancement of the bed temperature. The fuel moisture content has a slight effect on the SO2 emission. Based on these experimental results, a 12 × 6 × 1 three-layer BP neural networks prediction model of SO2 emission in MSW/coal co-fired fluidized bed incinerator was built. The prediction results of this model give good agreement with the experimental results, which indicates that the model has relatively high accuracy and good generalization ability. It was found that BP neural network is an effectual method used to predict the SO2 emission of MSW/coal co-fired fluidized bed incinerator.

In this study, three cDNA sequences corresponding to cytochrome P450 C17(CYP17 Ⅰ), 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase(3β-HSD) and androgen receptor(AR) were isolated from spotted sea bass(Lateolabrax maculatus). The mRNA abundances of CYP17 Ⅰ and 3β-HSD increased from stage Ⅱ to stage V with a significant increase at stage Ⅴ, and the highest abundance of AR mRNA was detected at stage Ⅲ in testicular development cycle. CYP17 I, 3β-HSD and AR transcripts were obviously abundant in steroidogenesis tissues such as testis, brain, head kidney among others. Strong and positive signals were observed mainly in interstitial cell regions of L. maculatus testis as were measured with in situ hybridization method. Significant increases of CYP17 Ⅰ and3β-HSD transcripts were detected after 12-48 h hCG(human chorionic gonadotropin) and GnRHa(gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogue) treatments. However, an opposite relationship was found for AR in testis at the same time. In addition, decreasing trends of CYP17 Ⅰ and 3β-HSD mRNA were observed in testis of L. maculatus in freshwater group(FW) from day 2 to day 6, and mRNA abundance of AR increased in brackish water(BW) group from day 4 to day 8. These findings revealed that these three steroid synthesis genes are import for testicular development, hormone and salinity treatment, and provided also an insight into the mechanism of reproductive endocrine of L. maculatus.

The cadmium tolerance capacity of Canna orchioides was evaluated using glasshouse experiment to lay a theoretical foundation to broad applications of this species in cadmium(Cd)polluted *** plant growth,Cd absorption,and antioxidative enzyme activities of canna plants treated with different Cd concentrations(0,100,and 200mg·kg^(-1)per dry soil)for 30 days were *** results indicated that the growth of roots,leaves and stems was restricted following Cd *** bio-concentration factor was the highest in the roots,followed by the leaves,rhizomes,and *** with the control,the translocation factor decreased sharply after 100mg·kg^(-1)or 200mg·kg^(-1)Cd treatment,whereas the tolerance index decreased significantly under 200mg·kg^(-1)Cd *** Cd accumulation rate and total Cd accumulation significantly increased under 200mg·kg^(-1)Cd treatment than the *** content remained unchanged at different Cd concentrations,while the relative electrical conductivity of the root increased significantly following 200mg·kg^(-1)Cd *** stress increased significantly the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),and ascorbate peroxidase(APX)in the leaves,whereas only SOD was raised in the *** catalase(CAT)and POD activity in the roots did not differ significantly at different Cd ***,APX in the roots decreased significantly under Cd stress,which suggests that the protective mechanisms in the leaves differ from those in the *** results indicated that *** has a high tolerance for ***,the reactive oxygen species caused by Cd stress could be effectively scavenged by the antioxidative *** present study proved that *** constitutes a promising ornamental plant for use in the restoration of areas contaminated with Cd.

Preparation of natural brucite nanofibers by the dispersion method

The preparation of natural brucite nanofibers through dispersion by the wet process is described. The test results indicate that brucite fibers can be well dispersed by using sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate （OT） as the dispersant at a dispersant/fiber mass ratio of 0.15：1, dispersing for 30 min at a water/solid mass ratio of 20：1. The prepared nanofibers were characterized with X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscope （SEM）, and transmission electron microscope （TEM）. It is shown that the prepared single brucite nanofiber is around 30 nm in diameter and the talus of the nonsingle brucite nanofibers is about 50-150 nm in diameter. Natural brucite mineral fibers were treated by the dispersion method to obtain nanomaterials. These fibers have significant advantages over artificial nanofibers both in yield and in cost.

Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)is considered to be one of the most promising additive manufacturing technologies for producing components with geometries and high geometrical precision that are unattainable by traditional *** superalloy exhibits exceptional mechanical and high-temperature performances,rendering it a prime candidate for advanced aero-engine *** the high demand for LPBF-manufactured superalloys,the superalloy is one of the materials manufactured difficultly by LPBF due to their large laser absorptivity fluctuation,poor molten pool stability and sharp temperature ***,superalloys are characterized by severe pores,undesirable coarse columnar grains and poor mechanical *** this work,the effect of nano-TiN particles on defects,molten pool characteristics and microstructure and performance of the composites were *** 4.5 wt%TiN/Haynes230 samples exhibited exceptional nanohardness and elastic modulus with maximum values reaching 5.53 GPa and 240.03 GPa,*** superior mechanical properties were attributed to the combined effects of spatter and gas pore inhibition,grain refinement and duplex nanophases ***,the stability of molten pool was enhanced,and spatter was effectively suppressed by adding nano-TiN particles,while grain refinement and columnar to equiaxed transitions were ***,the matrix exhibited a high dislocation density due to a significant hindrance of dislocation movement caused by massive nano-phases(e.g.,TiN and M_(23)C_(6)),resulting in the formation of extensive dislocation tangles and *** work offers novel insights into the role of nanoparticles reinforced superalloy composites by LPBF.

Our recent work on the detection of explosives by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy （LIBS） is reviewed in this paper. We have studied the physical mechanism of laser-induced plasma of an organic explosive, TNT. The LIBS spectra of TNT under single-photon excitation are simulated using MATLAB. The variations of the atomic emission lines intensities of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen versus the plasma temperature are simulated too. We also investigate the time-resolved LIBS spectra of a common inorganic explosive, black powder, in two kinds of surrounding atmospheres, air and argon, and find that the maximum value of the O atomic emission line SBR of black powder occurs at a gate delay of 596 ns. Another focus of our work is on using chemometic methods such as principle component analysis （PCA） and partial least squares discriminant analysis （PLS-DA） to distinguish the organic explosives from organic materials such as plastics. A PLS-DA model for classification is built. TNT and seven types of plastics are chosen as samples to test the model. The experimental results demonstrate that LIBS coupled with the chemometric techniques has the capacity to discriminate organic explosive from plastics.

Aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) are fluorescent agents that are ideal for bioimaging and have been widely used for organelle targeting, cellular mapping, and tracing. Owing to their promising characteristics, AIEgen-based nanoparticles have recently been used for the stimulated emission depletion (STED) super-resolution imaging of fixed cells. In the present study, and for the first time, we used an AIEgen for dynamic STED nanoscopic imaging of a specific organelle in live cancer cells. TPA-T-CyP is a synthetic red&niR-emitting luminogen with AIE features that can spontaneously and specifically aggregate on mitochondria without the need for encapsulation or surface modification. The STED efficiency of aggregated TPA-T-CyP can reach more than 80%, and super-resolution imaging of TPA-T-CyP-stained mitochondria in live HeLa cells is possible, with a lateral spatial resolution of 74 nm. We found that TPA-T-CyP enabled the dynamic visualization of mitochondria, and the motion, fusion, and fission of mitochondria were clearly observable on a super-resolution scale. AIEgen-based super-resolution organelle visualization has great potential for many basic biomedical studies.

Viscoelastic properties of thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)is of fundamental importance for its *** this work,we prepared different TPUs from polycaprolactone(PCL)diol,diphenylmethane-4,4′-diisocyanate(MDI),and 1,4-butanediol(BDO),and investigated the viscoelastic behavior of three TPUs with different hard segment content during thermal annealing *** storage modulus(G′)of TPU increases over time in a medium annealing temperature(T_(a))region,but remains unchanged at both high and low temperature *** growth of loss modulus(G″)over time is slower than that of G′.At medium T_(a),both G′and G″increase during the repeating frequency(ω)sweep,due to the gradual crystallization of hard *** indicates that the crystallites primarily restrain the relaxation of unit with large *** increments of G′and G″are weakened when the content of hard segment in TPU is *** TPU with high content of hard segments,a complete high elastic platform with a width of 3 orders of magnitude was observed only through one frequency scan test at medium T_(a).In addition,the crystallites of hard segments grow up continuously during frequency scan test(isothermal annealing treatment)and cause the extreme increase in G′and G″withωin lowωregion.
