Longitudial observation of dynamic changes in cortical function and white matter fibrous structure of patients with visual pathway lesions by blood oxygenation level dependent-functional magnetic resonance imaging combined with diffusion tensor imaging

BACKGROUND： Functional magnetic resonance imaging （fMRI） is initially used for visual cortex location. However, the application of fMRI in investigating the development of visual pathway lesions needs to be further observed. OBJECTIVE： This study is to longitudially observe the dynamic changes in cortical function and white matter fibrous structure of patients with visual pathway lesions by blood oxygenation level dependent-functional magnetic resonance imaging （BOLD-fMRI） combined with diffusion tensor imaging （DTI）, and to analyze the characteristics of brain function and structural recombination at convalescent period of lesions. DESIGN： Randomized controlled observation. SETTING： Department of Radiology, the General Hospital of Nanjing Military Area Command of Chinese PLA. PARTICIPANTS： Eight patients with unilateral or bilateral visual disorder caused by visual pathway lesions, who admitted to Department of Radiology, the General Hospital of Nanjing Military Area Command of Chinese PLA from January to September 2006 were involved, and served as experimental subjects. The patients, 6 males and 2 females, were aged 16 - 67 years. They had visual disorder confirmed by clinical examination, i.e. visual pathway lesion, which was further diagnosed by MR or CT. Another 12 subjects generally matching to those patients of experimental group in gender, age and sight, who received health examination in synchronization were involved and served as controls. The subjects had no history of eye diseases. Their binocular visual acuity （or corrected visual acuity） was over 1.0. Both routine examination of ophthalmology and examination of fundus were normal. Informed consents of detected items were obtained from all the subjects. Influence of Kinematic Analysis Parameters of Drag Anchor Trajectory Prediction Using Yield Envelope Method

Drag anchor is widely applied in offshore engineering for offshore mooring *** prediction of the invisible trajectory during its drag-in installation is challenging for anchor design in determining the anchor final position for ensuring sufficient holding *** yield envelope method based on deep anchor failure for kinematic analysis was proposed as a promising trajectory prediction method for drag ***,there is a lack of analysis on the effects of the parameters applied in the kinematic *** current work studies the effects of the yield envelope parameters,anchor line bearing capacity factor and the anchor/soil interface *** is found that the accuracy of the yield envelope parameters has large impact on the prediction results based on deep yield *** of cases with smooth fluke predict deeper embedment depth than that from analyses of cases with rough *** decrease of the capacity factor results in the increase of the anchor embedment depth,the anchor line load,the anchor chain angle and the stable value of the normalized horizontal load component for the same drag length,while the stable value of the normalized vertical load component decreases when the capacity factor *** illustrates the importance in applying reasonable parameters and improving the method for more reliable prediction of the anchor trajectory.

Synthesis of chiral phosphine derivatives through a copper（I）-catalyzed desymmetric SNAr reaction

Axially chiral phosphines are a class of extremely important ligands in asymmetric catalysis. Herein, an unprecedented copper（I）-catalyzed asymmetric SNAr reaction with HP（S）R2is uncovered, which delivers a series of axially chiral phosphine derivatives in high yields with excellent enantioselectivity. Furthermore, the diastereoselective reaction with the kinetic resolution of racemic HP（S）ArR proceeds smoothly, providing the products with moderate diastereoselectivity and excellent enantioselectivity. Control experiments indicate that HP（S）Ph2is much more active than HPPh2and HP（O）Ph2as the pronucleophile in the present reaction. It is found that the SNAr reaction （the first SNAr） proceeds in a desymmetric manner, providing the desired chiral products while a continued SNAr reaction （the second SNAr） slightly occurs in a kinetic resolution manner in the present catalytic system, which enhances the ee of the desired chiral products. DFTcalculations support a concerted reaction pathway rather than a step-wise mechanism. Finally, axially chiral olefin-phosphines produced by the present method work as suitable ligands in Pdcatalyzed asymmetric allylic substitution with C-, N-, and O-nucleophiles and Rh-catalyzed asymmetric addition of arylboronic acid to benzil.

Selective G6PDH inactivation for Helicobacter pylori eradication with transformed polysulfide

Alternative treatment for the highly prevalent Helicobacter pylori infection is imperative due to rising antibiotic resistance. We unexpectedly discovered that the anti-H. pylori component in garlic is hydrogen polysulfide（H2S_n, n≥2）, not organic polysulfides. Studies on the mechanism of action（MoA） show that H2S_nspecifically inactivates H. pylori glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase（G6PDH） by interfering with electron transfer from glucose-6-phosphate（G6P） to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate（NADP+）. However, low H2S_nyield makes garlic derivatives hard to be a reliable donor of H2S_nto treat H. pylori infection. To address this challenge, we established a polysulfide transformation process from garlic organosulfur compounds into Fe3S4that generates H2S_nwith a 25–58 times increase in *** chitosan encapsulation, we designed a gastric-adaptive H2S_nmicroreactor（GAPSR） that eradicates H. pylori with 250 times higher efficiency under gastric conditions. A single GAPSR achieves more rapid H. pylori eradication than combined antibiotics therapy without disturbing the gut microbiota. These findings indicate a distinct MoA transformation mediated by polysulfide as an alternative candidate to treat H. pylori infection.

Recent progress in MnBi2nTe3n+1 intrinsic magnetic topological insulators: crystal growth, magnetism and chemical disorder

The search for magnetic topological materials has been at the forefront of condensed matter research for their potential to host exotic states such as axion insulators, magnetic Weyl semimetals, Chern insulators,etc. To date, the MnBi2nTe3n+1family is the only group of materials showcasing van der Waals-layered structures, intrinsic magnetism and non-trivial band topology without trivial bands at the Fermi level. The interplay between magnetism and band topology in this family has led to the proposal of various topological phenomena, including the quantum anomalous Hall effect, quantum spin Hall effect and quantum magnetoelectric effect. Among these, the quantum anomalous Hall effect has been experimentally observed at record-high temperatures, highlighting the unprecedented potential of this family of materials in fundamental science and technological innovation. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review of the research progress in this intrinsic magnetic topological insulator family, with a focus on single-crystal growth, characterization of chemical disorder, manipulation of magnetism through chemical substitution and external pressure, and important questions that remain to be conclusively answered.

Catalyst–support interaction plays a crucial role in improving the catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Here we modulate the catalyst–support interaction in polyaniline-supported ni_(3)Fe oxide(ni_(3)Fe oxide/PAni)with a robust hetero-interface,which significantly improves oxygen evolution activities with an overpotential of 270 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and specific activity of 2.08 mA cm_(ECSA)^(-2)at overpotential of 300 mV,3.84-fold that of ni_(3)Fe *** is revealed that the catalyst–support interaction between ni_(3)Fe oxide and PAni support enhances the ni–O covalency via the interfacial ni–N bond,thus promoting the charge and mass transfer on ni_(3)Fe *** the excellent activity and stability,rechargeable Zn-air batteries with optimum ni_(3)Fe oxide/PAni are assembled,delivering a low charge voltage of 1.95 V to cycle for 400 h at 10 mA cm^(-2).The regulation of the effect of catalyst–support interaction on catalytic activity provides new possibilities for the future design of highly efficient OER catalysts.

Analysis of volatile components in a Chinese fish sauce,Fuzhou Yulu, by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

Volatile components of Fuzhou Yulu, a Chinese fish sauce, were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry （GC-MS）, and two pretreatment methods, i.e., purge and trap （P＆T） GC-MS and ethyl acetate extraction followed by GC-MS, were compared. P＆T-GC-MS method determined 12 components, including sulfur-containing constituents （such as dimethyl disulfide）, nitrogen-containing constituents （such as pyrazine derivatives）, aldehydes and ketones. Ethyl acetate extraction fol- lowed by GC-MS method detected 10 components, which were mainly volatile organic acids （such as benzenepropanoic acid） and esters. Neither of the two methods detected alcohols or trimethylamine. This study offers an important reference to determine volatile flavor components of traditional fish sauce through modem analysis methods.

目的:探讨脂肪血制备的去白细胞悬浮红细胞在储存期的主要代谢途径转换,为脂肪血制备的悬浮红细胞储存提供参考。方法:选择脂肪血和正常全血各10 U,制备成去白细胞悬浮红细胞,在制备当天(d 0)、d 14、d 35分别取样,采用UPLC-MS/MS检测红细胞内的代谢物。采用Mann-Whitney U检验分析2组标本糖酵解途径和磷酸戊糖途径代谢物的差异,分析脂肪血制备的悬浮红细胞储存期的代谢途径变化。结果:d 0实验组红细胞内代谢物葡萄糖、腺嘌呤、丙酮酸、GSH、GSSG和烟碱酰胺水平均高于对照组(P0.05)。结论:与正常红细胞相比,脂肪血红细胞储存期内能量代谢减弱,磷酸戊糖途径增强。
