How knowledge of hepatitis B disease and vaccine influences vaccination practices among parents in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Objective:To assess the influences of the knowledge of parents about hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection and the benefit of HBV vaccination on the practice of HBV vaccination among ***:A prospective cross-sectional study recruited parents whose children,aged 12-24 months,received HBV vaccination at Commune Health Centers(CHCs)in Ho Chi Minh City from Feb.2016 to *** were interviewed using a questionnaire that included 11-item binary knowledge questions and checked their children’s vaccination ***:A total of 768 parents had a mean age of(30.8±5.1)*** mean knowledge score of the 11-item questions was(7.0±2.4).The knowledge score was positively associated with full and timely HBV *** addition,children who received complete and timely HBV vaccination were significantly more likely to live in rural areas(Adjusted OR 4.02,95%CI 2.79-5.79,P<0.001).Also,children whose parents received vaccination information from health care providers,and had knowledge about HBV risk,had a higher rate of full and timely HBV vaccination(Adjusted OR 1.60,95%CI 1.13-2.29,and Adjusted OR 1.47,95%CI 1.01-2.13,P all<0.05).Conclusions:Parents possessed a great deal of incorrect knowledge about *** health education from health care providers should target parents living in specific locations and focus on the benefits of HBV vaccine.

Magnetic lattices for ultracold atoms and degenerate quantum gases

We review recent developments in the use of magnetic lattices as a complementary tool to optical lattices for trapping periodic arrays of ultracold atoms and degenerate quantum gases. Recent advances include the realisation of Bose–Einstein condensation in multiple sites of a magnetic lattice of one-dimensional microtraps, the trapping of ultracold atoms in square and triangular magnetic lattices,and the fabrication of magnetic lattice structures with submicron period suitable for quantum tunnelling ***, we describe a proposal to utilise long-range interacting Rydberg atoms in a large spacing magnetic lattice to create interactions between atoms on neighbouring sites.

Traffic Conflict Technique Development for Traffic Safety Evaluation under Mixed Traffic Conditions of Developing Countries

In developing countries, the numbers of traffic accidents, injuries and fatalities are very high and tend to increase atsignalized intersections. For example, in Ho Chi Minh City （HCMC） of Vietnam, the number of accidents at signalized intersectionsaccounted for 45% of the total accidents at all the intersections. This fact leads to strong necessity for analyzing traffic safety atsignalized intersections. Nevertheless, the historical accident data in HCMC is not available for deep analysis, this study uses videocameras to capture and analyze conflicts that potentially lead to accidents using TCT （traffic conflict technique）. Conflict severityidentification is one of the most significant steps to evaluate traffic safety at signalized intersections using TCT. Six zones （seriousconflict, common conflict, non-conflict, highest potential serious conflict, potential serious conflict, and potential common conflict） areexplored in this study to clarify conflict severity. This result is based on being the cut off value between serious conflicts and commonconflicts, according to 85% cumulative frequency of TTC （time to collision） and CS （conflict speed） under 3,050 samples size whichwere observed at 10 signalized intersections during August-November, 2014. Such a deep understanding is a scientific basis to studyhow to apply TCT to evaluate traffic safety at signalized intersections under mixed traffic conditions.

ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION OF TROPICAL STORM PAKHAR AT NATIONAL CENTER FOR HYDRO-METEOROLOGICAL FORECASTING OF VIET NAM

Tropical Storm Pakhar appeared as a low pressure system over the South China Sea on March 26, 2012. It then became a tropical storm a few days later on March 29, 2012. Pakhar was really an abnormal tropical storm activated over the South China Sea in March which seldom appeared at that time. The movement of Pakhar was not very complicated because it mainly moved under the steering lines of subtropical high pressure systems. However, its intensity was still a problem for many typhoon centers, especially when Pakhar experienced a rapid intensification within 12 hours at 00 Z on March 30. At that time NCHMF and JRTD(Japan) warned it as a tropical storm, while BABJ(China) and JTWC(US navy) warned as severe tropical storm and typhoon respectively. Pakhar decreased quickly when approached the onshore areas of Viet Nam. At 08 Z on 1 April, upon analyzing the radar data at Nha Be station and the half-hourly observations along the coastline, NCHMF downgraded Pakhar into a tropical depression, while other typhoon centers maintained Pakhar’s intensity as a tropical storm untill 00 Z on 2 April.

Treatment for COVID-19 patients in Vietnam: Analysis of time-to-recovery

Objective:To describe the recovery time and related factors among COVID-19 patients in ***:We used the secondary data obtained from the official database of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam and other public data sources that were available by April 9 th,*** proportional hazards model was carried out to identify factors related to recovery time among COVID-19 ***:By April 9 th,2020,the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases detected in Vietnam was 255,of which 129(50.6%)patients had fully *** median recovery time of patients was 17(95%CI=16-19)*** patients had a lower likelihood of recovery(HR=0.98,95%CI=0.97-0.99,Ptients with a history of international incoming travel had a higher likelihood of recovery(HR=1.57,95%CI=1.03-2.40,P=0.036).There was no statistically significant difference in the recovery time of patients treated in different hospital ***:More attention is needed for older patients and who did not have international travel *** confirmed with COVID-19 could be treated at local health facilities to avoid unnecessary referrals and burdens to specialized hospitals at the central level.

The use of insect meal in aquafeed formulations has recently gained *** knowledge about the inclusion levels for pikeperch(Sander lucioperca),a promising candidate for intensive aquaculture in Europe remains,however,*** the present study,4 isoproteic(45%dry matter)and isoenergetic(21 MJ/kg)diets were formulated,including a control diet(H0)containing 30%fishmeal(FM)on an as-fed basis and the other 3 diets in which FM protein was replaced by defatted black soldier fly(Hemetia illucens)meal(HIM)at 25%,50%,and 100%(diet abbreviation H9,H18 and H36,corresponding to an inclusion level of 9%,18%and 36%,respectively).The feeding trial was performed in triplicate groups of 50 juvenile pikeperch(mean weight,68.7 g)fed with experimental diets for 84 d during which the growth performance,nutrient digestibility,fillet quality and economic and environmental sustainability of rearing pikeperch were *** findings indicated that pikeperch in H0,H9,and H18 groups displayed better results regarding growth performance indices,except for survival rate where no significant difference among groups was recorded(P?0.642).A significantly lower organ-somatic index,including hepatosomatic,viscerosomatic and perivisceral fat index,was found in fish in H18 groups than other groups(P0.05)but did reduce total n-3 fatty acids(P?0.001)and increased total n-6(P<0.001).Increasing inclusion levels of HIM reduced the environmental impacts associated with fish in-to-fish out ratio but entailed heavy burdens on e

Anti-inflammatory effects of fatty acids isolated from Chromolaena odorata

Objective:To identify inhibitors of nitric oxide production and NF-κB activity from Chromolaena odorata（***）.Methods:The compounds isolated from the aerial parts of *** by bioassay-guided fractionation were investigated for their inhibitory effects on the NO production and NF-κB activity in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 ***:Six fatty acids （S）-coriolic acid（1）,（S）-coriolic acid methyl ester（2）,（5）-15,16-didehydrocoriolic acid（3）,（S）- 15,16-didehydrocoriolic acid methyl ester（4）,linoleamide（5） and linolenamide（6） were isolated. All compounds inhibited the NO production at concentrations consistent with those required for NF-κB *** 2 was the most active with the IC50 values of 5.22 and 5.73μM. The addition of a double bond in the fatty chain decreased the inhibitory effects while the methyl esterification increased the ***:The fatty acid components in *** with NF-κB inhibitory activity could explain the anti-inflammation property of this plant in traditional *** study could also contribute to the better use of *** for human health care.

Crack identification in functionally graded material framed structures using stationary wavelet transform and neural network

In this paper,an integrated procedure is proposed to identify cracks in a portal framed structure made of functionally graded material(FGM)using stationary wavelet transform(SWT)and neural network(NN).Material properties of the structure vary along the thickness of beam elements by the power law of volumn *** are assumed to be open and are modeled by double massless springs with stiffness calculated from their *** dynamic stiffness method(DSM)is developed to calculate the mode shapes of a cracked frame structure based on shape functions obtained as a general solution of vibration in multiple cracked FGM Timoshenko *** SWT of mode shapes is examined for localization of potential cracks in the frame structure and utilized as the input data of NN for crack depth *** integrated procedure proposed is shown to be very effective for accurately assessing crack locations and depths in FGM structures,even with noisy measured mode shapes and a limited amount of measured data.

Effect of Poly-Alkylene-Glycol Quenchant on the Distortion, Hardness, and Microstructure of 65Mn Steel

Flexible magnetoelectric （ME） materials have been studied for new applications such as memory, energy harvesters, and magnetic field sensors. Herein, with the widely studied and progressive advantages of ME phenomena in the multiferroic field, we demonstrate a new approach for utilizing flexible ME materials as gate dielectric layers in ME organic field-effect transistors （ME-OFET） that can be used for sensing a magnetic field and extracting the ME properties of the gate dielectric itself. The magnetoelectric nanohybrid gate dielectric layer comprises sandwiched stacks of magnetostrictive CoFe2O4 nanoparticles and a highly piezoelectric poly（vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene） layer. While varying the magnetic field applied to the ME gate dielectric, the ME effect in the functional gate dielectric modulates the channel conductance of the ME-OFET owing to a change in the effective gate field. The clear separation of the ME responses in the gate dielectric layer of ME-OFET from those of the other parameters was demonstrated using the AC gate biasing method and enabled the extraction of the ME coefficient of ME materials. Additionally, the device shows high stability after cyclic bending of 10,000 cycles at a banding radius of 1.2 cm. The device has significant potential for not only the extraction of the intrinsic characterization of ME materials but also the sensing of a magnetic field in integrated flexible electronic systems.
