Computer-aided diabetic retinopathy diagnostic model using optimal thresholding merged with neural network

Purpose-Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is a central root of blindness all over the *** DR is tough to diagnose in starting stages,and the detection procedure might be time-consuming even for qualified ***,intelligent disease detection techniques are extremely acceptable for progress analysis and recognition of various ***,a computer-aided diagnosis scheme based on intelligent learning approaches is intended to propose for diagnosing DR effectively using a benchmark ***/methodology/approach-The proposed DR diagnostic procedure involves four main steps:(1)image pre-processing,(2)blood vessel segmentation,(3)feature extraction,and(4)***,the retinal fundus image is taken for pre-processing with the help of Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization(CLAHE)and average *** the next step,the blood vessel segmentation is carried out using a segmentation process with optimized gray-level *** the blood vessels are extracted,feature extraction is done,using Local binary Pattern(LbP),Texture Energy Measurement(TEM based on Laws of Texture Energy),and two entropy computations-Shanon’s entropy,and Kapur’s *** collected features are subjected to a classifier called Neural Network(NN)with an optimized training *** the gray-level thresholding and NN is enhanced by the Modified Levy Updated-Dragonfly Algorithm(MLU-DA),which operates to maximize the segmentation accuracy and to reduce the error difference between the predicted and actual outcomes of the ***,this classification error can correctly prove the efficiency of the proposed DR detection ***-The overall accuracy of the proposed MLU-DA was 16.6%superior to conventional classifiers,and the precision of the developed MLU-DA was 22%better than LM-NN,16.6%better than PSO-NN,GWO-NN,and ***,it is concluded that the implemented MLU-DA outperformed state-of-the-art algorithms in detecting ***

The oyster mushroom(Pleurotus spp.)is one of the most widely cultivated mushroom species *** present study investigated the effect of synbiotics on the growth and quality of Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus *** synbiotics formulations were applied by spraying mushroom samples daily and measuring their growth parameters,yield,biological efficiency,proximate composition,mineral content,total phenolic content(TPC),and diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl(DPPH)radical scavenging *** demonstrated that the most significant yield of oyster mushrooms was harvested from synbiotics sprayed with inulin and Lactobacillus casei(56.92 g).Likewise,the highest biological efficiency obtained with a similar synbiotic was 12.65%.Combining inulin and *** was the most effective method of improving the mushrooms'growth performance and nutrient content in both ***,synbiotics that combined inulin and *** resulted in the highest TPC(20.550 mg gallic acid equivalent(GAE)/g dry extract(DE))in white oyster mushrooms(***).In comparison,in grey mushroom(***)the highest TPC was yielded by ***(1.098 mg GAE/g DE)followed by inulin and ***(1.079 mg GAE/g DE).The DPPH results indicated that the oyster mushroom could be an efficient *** results revealed that applying synbiotics improved the mushrooms'quality by increasing their antioxidant capacity with higher amounts of phenolic compounds and offering better health benefits with the increased levels of mineral ***,these studies demonstrated the potential of using synbiotics as a biofertilizer,which is helpful for mushroom cultivation;therefore,it might solve the challenge of inconsistent quality mushroom growers face.

Several p H-dependent processes and reactions take place in the human body;hence,the p H of body fluids is the best indicator of disturbed health ***,accurate and real-time diagnosis of the p H of body fluids is complicated because of limited commercially available p H ***,we aimed to prepare a flexible,transparent,disposable,userfriendly,and economic strip-based solid-state p H sensor using palladium nanoparticles(Pd NPs)/N-doped carbon(NC)composite *** Pd NPs/NC composite material was synthesized using wool keratin(WK)as a *** insitu prepared Pd NPs played a key role in the controlled switching of protein structure to the N-doped carbon skeleton withπ–πarrangement at the mesoscale level,which mimics the A–b type polymeric structure,and hence,is highly susceptible to H+*** optimized carbonization condition in the presence of Pd NPs showed that the material obtained using a modified Ag/Ag Cl reference electrode had the highest p H sensitivity with excellent stability and *** optimized p H sensor showed high specificity and selectivity with a sensitivity of 55 m V/p H unit and a relative standard deviation of 0.79%.This study is the first to synthesize Pd NPs using WK as a stabilizing and reducing *** applicability of the sensor was investigated for biological samples,namely,saliva and gastric *** proposed protocol and material have implications in solid-state chemistry,where biological material will be the best choice for the synthesis of materials with anticipated performance.

平菇（Pleurotus spp.）是全球最广泛栽培的蘑菇品种之一。本研究旨在探讨合生元对Pleurotus ostreatus和Pleurotus pulmonarius生长和品质的影响。通过每日对蘑菇样品喷洒不同浓度的合生元，测量其生长参数、产量、生物效率、近似成分、矿物质含量、总酚含量和二苯基-1-三硝基苯肼（DPPH）自由基清除活性。结果表明，使用喷洒菊粉和干酪乳杆菌的合生元，平菇的产量最高（56.92克），生物效率也最高（12.65%）。菊粉和干酪乳杆菌的组合最为高效，可以同时提高两种样品蘑菇的生长性能和营养成分。此外在白平菇（***）中，菊粉和干酪乳杆菌组合的合生元可产生最高的总酚含量（20.550 mg GAE/g DE），而在灰蘑菇（P. pulmonarius）中产生最高总酚含量的是干酪乳杆菌（1.098 mg GAE/g DE），其次是菊粉和干酪乳杆菌（1.079 mg GAE/g DE）。DPPH结果表明，平菇可以作为一种有效的抗氧化剂。综上，合生元可通过增加酚类化合物的含量来提高蘑菇的抗氧化能力，并通过增加矿物质元素的含量来提供更好的健康益处，从而提高了蘑菇的品质。上述研究证明了合生元作为一种生物肥料用于蘑菇栽培的应用潜力，是帮助蘑菇种植者解决质量不稳定的一个有效方案。

A rapid, one-pot and highly efficient protocol for the synthesis of pharmaceutically interesting functionalized 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyran and spirooxindole derivatives has been developed using commercially available Cs F as a catalyst in the reaction of malononitrile and aryl aldehydes or isatins with 1,3-cyclohexanediones. The major advantages of this methodology are excellent yield at ambient temperature, very short reaction time（5–10 min）, and use of an inexpensive catalyst.

The oxalate co-precipitation method was used to synthesize the La3+substituted Ni-Cu-Zn(La-NCZ)nanoferrites having chemical composition Ni_(0.7)Cu_(0.1)Zn_(0.2)LaxFe_(2-x)O_(4)(x=0.015,0.025 and 0.035).DC resistivity study of nanoferrites shows both the conducting and semiconducting *** room temperature DC electrical resistivity of Ni-Cu-Zn(NCZ)nanoferrites decreases,whereas Curie temperature increases with increasing La^(3+)*** the temperature range of 30-170℃nanoferrites show p-type semiconducting behavior except x=0.015;thereafter,they show n-type *** frequency dispersive initial permeability(μi)associated with its real and imaginary(μ’andμ")parts are attributed to the domain wall movement and magnetic spin ***μi,u’andμ"of La-NCZ nanoferrites are higher than those of pure NCZ *** constant(ε’),dielectric loss(ε")and AC resistivity(ρAC)of La-NCZ nanoferrites show normal dielectric *** is found thatε’of NCZ nanoferrites decreases with the increasing content of La3+*** bandgap energy of La-NCZ nanoferrites is achieved in the range 1.36-1.70 eV confirming the semiconducting nature of materials.

Objective:To compare the cardioprotective efficacy of equimolar doses(50 mM/kg,p.o.)of phloretin and genistein against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in ***:Cardiotoxicity was induced in rats by intraperitoneal injection of 6 mg/kg doxorubicin on alternative days till the cumulative dose reached 30 mg/*** study included four treatment groups of rats(n=6):the control group(0.5%carboxymethyl cellulose solution-treated),the doxorubicin-treated group(0.5%carboxymethyl cellulose solution along with doxorubicin),the genistein-treated group(50 mM/kg/day;*** with doxorubicin)and phloretin-treated group(50 mM/kg/day;*** with doxorubicin).On the 10th day of dosing,rats were anesthetized for recording ECG,mean arterial pressure,and left ventricular *** stress,nitric oxide levels,and inflammatory cytokines were estimated in the cardiac *** function parameters(creatine kinase Mb,lactate dehydrogenase,aspartate aminotransferase,and alanine transaminase)were estimated in the serum ***:Phloretin treatment inhibited doxorubicin-induced oxidative stress and also reduced nitric oxide levels in cardiac tissues of *** administration attenuated doxorubicin-induced alterations in hemodynamic parameters(heart rate,mean arterial blood pressure,and left ventricular function)and suppressed the expression of pro-inflammatory *** cardiac injury markers like creatine kinase Mb,lactate dehydrogenase,aspartate aminotransferase,and alanine transaminase were reduced by both genistein and *** these effects of phloretin were more prominent than ***:Phloretin offers cardioprotection that is comparable to genistein,a clinically validated cardioprotectant against doxorubicin-induced *** studies are needed to confirm and establish the therapeutic utility of phloretin as a chemopreventive adjuvant to doxorubicin chemotherapy.

Liutex core line and POD analysis on hairpin vortex formation in natural flow transition

In this study,the new method of the vortex core line based on Liutex definition,also known as Liutex core line,is applied to support the hypothesis that the vortex ring is not a part of theΛ-vortex and the formation of the ring-like vortex is formed separately from theΛ-*** proper orthogonal decomposition(POD)is also applied to analyze the Kelvin-VHelmholtz(K-H)instability happening in hairpin ring areas of the flow transition on the flat plate to understand the mechanism of the ring-like vortex *** new vortex identification method named modified Liutex-Omega method is efficiently used to visualize and observe the shapes of vortex structures in *** streamwise vortex structure characteristics can be found in POD mode one as the mean *** other POD modes are in stremwise and spanwise structures and have the fluctuation motions,which are induced by K-H ***,the result shows that POD modes are in pairs and share the same characteristics such as amplitudes,mode shapes,and time *** vortex core and POD results confirm that theΛ-vortex is not self-deformed to a hairpin vortex,but the hairpin vortex is formed by the K-H instability during the development of Lambda vortex to hairpin vortex in the boundary layer flow transition.

Lattice thermal conductivity(LTC)of cadmium arsenide(Cd_(3)As_(2))is studied over a wide temperature range(1–400 K)by employing the Callaway *** acoustic phonons are considered to be the major carriers of heat and to be scattered by the sample boundaries,disorder,impurities,and other phonons via both Umklapp and normal phonon *** calculations of LTC of Cd_(3)As_(2)bring out the relative importance of the scattering *** systematic analysis of recent experimental data on thermal conductivity(TC)of Cd_(3)As_(2)samples of different groups,presented in terms of LTC,κL,using a nonlinear regression method,reveals good fits to the TC data of the samples considered for T100 K the inclusion of the electronic component of TC,κe,incorporating contributions from relevant electron scattering mechanisms,is needed to obtain good agreement with the TC data over the wide temperature *** detailed investigations of TC of Cd_(3)As_(2)are required to better understand its suitability in thermoelectric and thermal management devices.
