The Web comprises of voluminous rich learning content. The volume of ever growing learning resources however leads to the problem of information overload. A large number of irrelevant search results generated from search engines based on keyword matching techniques further augment the problem. A learner in such a scenario needs semantically matched learning resources as the search results. Keeping in view the volume of content and significance of semantic knowledge, our paper proposes a multi-threaded semantic focused crawler （SFC） specially designed and implemented to crawl on the WWW for educational learning content. The proposed SFC utilizes domain ontology to expand a topic term and a set of seed URLs to initiate the crawl. The results obtained by multiple iterations of the crawl on various topics are shown and compared with the results obtained by executing an open source crawler on the similar dataset. The results are evaluated using Semantic Similarity, a vector space model based metric, and the harvest ratio.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs) have been successfully used for the alleviation of pain and inflammation in the past and continue to be used daily by millions of patients worldwide. However, gastrointestinal(GI) toxicity associated with NSAIDs is an important medical and socioeconomic problem. Local generation of various reactive oxygen species plays a significant role in the formation of gastric ulceration associated with NSAIDs therapy. Co-medication of antioxidants along with NSAIDs has been found to be beneficial in the prevention of GI injury. This paper describes the synthesis and biological evaluation of N-1-(phenylsulfonyl)-2-methylamino-substituted-1H-benzimidazole derivatives as anti-inflammatory analgesic agents with lower GI toxicity. Studies in vitro and in vivo demonstrated that the antioxidant activity of the test compounds decreased GI toxicity.

对血管造影(CTA)数据进行了冠状动脉的形状分析,以辅助临床诊断冠心病。提出了模糊距离变换的三维CTA的冠状动脉的形状分析的方法。利用几何拓扑性获取表面骨架和曲线骨架,计算模糊距离变换函数值,利用此函数值检测冠状动脉的直径、冠状动脉狭窄的位置、长度、狭窄的百分比和冠状动脉的分叉点位置。用仿真数据模型和真实临床数据进行了实验分析和检验。结果表明:此方法准确、省时,能作为临床诊断的有效辅助工具。

Association between Blood Type and Severity of Covid-19 Infection among Patients in Kaski District, Nepal

Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) first broke out in China and speeded globally. With the considerable number of Covid-19 infections and deaths, the situation has brought up major public health and governance concerns. This research study is conducted to understand if there is any association between blood group and Covid-19 disease severity. Study is conducted in Life care diagnostic and research center, New road Pokhara. A total of 1050 people who underwent RT-PCR test at Life Care Diagnostic and identified positive are used as the sample to conduct this research study. Our findings reveal that Covid-19 severity is uncommon in people with blood group O and Rh negative whereas those with blood group AB and B types are found to be severely affected. We also have an impression that individuals with rhesus negative (Rh-negative) blood groups have higher resistance for Covid-19 infection and severity.

Here we have synthesized cancer targeting drug delivery system that contains β-cyclodextrin as a drug carrier and folic acid as a targeting ligand. Folic acid was selected as a cancer targeting ligand because folic acid receptors are highly expressed in a variety of tumor types. β-cyclodextrin and folic acid were connected through a linker [1,10-phenanthroline or 5-(hydroxymethyl) furfural]. β-cyclodextrin and folic acid were attached to the linker by formation of Schiffbase and ester, respectively. Our targeted synthetic products were confirmed by NMR, Mass and IR spectroscopy. We anticipate that our synthetic products can confer cancer cell-specific drug delivery as well as desired properties such as nanoparticle formation.

Background:Soil-transmitted helminth(STH)infections often affect the poorest and most deprived *** order to generate reliable data for planning a school based deworming program,we conducted a survey among primary school children studying in government schools in the Indian state of Uttar *** objectives of our survey were to estimate the prevalence and intensity of STH ***:We conducted a cross-sectional survey among children studying in 130 primary schools from 9 agroclimatic zones,during May-August *** about socio-demographic details,defecation and handhygiene practices,and stool samples were collected from the school *** samples were examined using the Kato-Katz ***:Stool samples from 6421 school children were *** overall weighted prevalence of any STH in the State was 75.6%(95%CI:71.2-79.5).The prevalence was more than 50%in six of the nine agro-climatic *** was the most prevalent STH(prevalence:69.6%),followed by hookworm(prevalence:22.6%)and ***(4.6%).The majority of the STH infections were of low *** practice of open defecation and not washing hands with soap after defecation and residence in kutcha house were significant risk factors of STH ***:STH prevalence among primary school children in Uttar Pradesh was *** the WHO guidelines on deworming frequency according to STH prevalence,Govt of Uttar Pradesh needs to implement a school-based deworming program with bi-annual *** findings of our survey would also help monitor the performance of school based deworming programme.

Psychotherapy is a process of finding personal solutions in the presence of a trained practitioner, in a safe, non-judgmental and caring environment. Various types of psychotherapieslike psychoanalytic, client centered, cognitive behaviour therapy and behavior therapy are practiced in Western culture. The above psychotherapies are not applicable in Indian culture. In India, religious psychotherapies mentioned in Veda, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Quran, and Bhagavad-Gita are in common use. In Ayurveda, the concept of psychotherapy was first mentioned in old Ayurvedic textbook Carak Samhita. Maharshi Carak in the above textbook has described the treatment of mental illness by three methods *** 2. Daivavyapasraya 3. Sattvavajaya. Yuktivyapasraya means treatment by drug or medicine. In Yuktivyapasraya, the mental illness is treated by using mental drugs. Daivavyapasraya means treatment of illness by chanting of mantra, scared herbs, precious gems, propitiatory rites, offerings （Bali）, niyam （second step of yoga）, ceremonial penitence, fast, religious sacrifice, prostration, and journey of religious places. Sattvavjaya （psychotherapy） means control of mind by restraining of mind from unwholesome arthas （objects）.Mind 2 can be controlled by gaining right knowledge, scientific knowledge, developing patience （self-control）, enhancing memory and dhayan.
