An overview on antidiabetic medicinal plants having insulin mimetic property

Diabetes mellitus is one of the common metabolic disorders acquiring around 2.8%of the world's population and is anticipated to cross 5.4%by the year *** long back herbal medicines have been the highly esteemed source of medicine therefore,they have become a growing part of modern,high-tech *** view of the above aspects the present review provides profiles of plants(65 species) with hypoglycaemic properties,available through literature source from various database with proper categorization according to the parts used,mode of reduction in blood glucose(insulinomimetic or insulin secretagugues activity) and active phyloconsliluents having insulin mimetics *** the review it was suggested that,plant showing hypoglycemic potential mainly belongs to the family Leguminoseae,Lamiaceae,Liliaceae,Cucurbitaceae, Asteraceae,Moraceae,Rosaceae and *** most active plants are Allium sativum. Gymnema sylvestre,Citrullus colocynthis,Trigonella foenum greacum,Momordica charantia and Ficuts *** review describes some new bioactive drugs and isolated compounds from plants such as roseoside,epigallocatechin gallate,beta-pyrazol-1-ylalanine,cinchonain Ib,leucocyandin 3-O-beta-d-galactosyl cellobioside,leucopelargonidin-3- O-alpha-L rhamuoside,glycyrrhetinic acid,dehydrotrametenolic acid,strictinin,isostrictinin,pedunculagin, epicatechin and christinin-A showing significant insulinomimetic and antidiabetic activity with more efficacy than conventional hypoglycaemic ***,from the review majorly,the antidiabetic activity of medicinal plants is attributed to the presence of polyphenols,flavonoida, terpenoids,coumarins and other constituents which show reduction in blood glucose *** review also discusses the management aspect of diabetes mellitus using these plants and their active principles.

Pedalium murex Linn(Pedaliaceae) fruits:a comparative antioxidant activity of its different fractions

Objective:To examine the antioxidant activity and total phenolic content of different solvent fractions of Pedulium murex(***)Linn fruits(Family:Pedaliaceae)as well as the correlation between the total antioxidant capacity and total phenolic ***:In the present study,the antioxidant activities of *** were evaluated using six in-vitro assays,namely total antioxidant assay,DPPH assay,reducing power,nitric oxide scavenging,hydrogen peroxide scavenging and deoxyribose scavenging assays,and total phenol contents were also ***:The ethyl acetate(EA)fraction was found to have high levels of phenolic content(298.72±2.09 mg GAE/g).The EA fraction exhibit higher total antioxidant capacity,higher percentage of DPPH radical scavenging activity(135.11±2.95μg/mL),nitric oxide(200.57±4.5lμg/mL),hydrogen peroxide(2I7.91±6.12μg/mL),deoxyribose(250.01±4.68μg/mL)and higher reducing *** coefficient(r^2=0.914)was found to be significant between total phenolic content and total antioxidant ***:In general,the results indicate that the EA fractions are rich in phenolic antioxidants with potent free radical scavenging activity implying their importance to human health.

Objective:To evaluate antidiabetic and antioxidant potential of Hybanthus enneaspermus in different ***:The oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) and normoglycemic effect of alcoholic extract of Hybanthus enneaspermus(AHE) were evaluated at a dose of 125,250 and 500mg/kg *** hypoglycemic activity and effect on body weight were tested at 250 and 500 mg/kg *** day for 21 days in Streptozotocin(STZ) induced diabetic ***,glucose uptake by hemidiaphram was also *** total polyphenolic and flavonoid were determined and their correlation with various antioxidant assays was also ***:The results showed high level of phenolic content in *** also exhibited higher total antioxidant capacity,good reducing power and a significant scavenger of reactive oxygen species like DPPH radical,nitric oxide,hydrogen peroxide and *** there was a significant increase in the body weight and decrease in the blood glucose level on treatment with the *** increased glucose uptake on isolated rat hemi-diaphragm compared to control ***:AHE reduce blood glucose level in STZ-induced diabetic *** does not show significant effect in normoglycemic study but showes significant effect in *** has significant antioxidant activity,which may be attributed to high phenolic content.

Harmine,a beta-carboline alkaloid,is widely distributed in the plants,marine creatures,insects, mammalians as well as in human tissues and body *** was originally isolated from seeds of Peganum harmal in 1847 having a core indole structure and a pyridine *** has various types of pharmacological activities such as antimicrobial,antifungal,antitumor,cytotoxic, antiplasmodial,antioxidaant,antimutagenic,antigenotoxic and hallucinogenic *** acts on gamma-aminobutyric acid type A and monoamine oxidase A or B receptor,enhances insulin sensitivity and also produces vasorelaxant *** prevents bone loss by suppressing *** current review gives an overview on pharmacological activity and analytical techniques of harmine,which may be useful for researcheres to explore the hidden potential of harmine and and will also help in developing new drugs for the treatment of various diseases.

Synthesis and evaluation of novel analogues of mangiferin as potent antipyretic

Objective:To screen different analogues of mangiferin pharmacologically for antipyretic activity. Methods:The naturally occurring xanthone glycoside mangiferin was isolated by column chromatography from the elhanolic extract of stem bark of Mangifera *** was further converted to 5-(N-phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin.5-(N-p-chlorophenylamino methyleno) mangiferin,5-(N-2-methyl phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin.5-(N-p-methoxy phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin.5-(N,N-diphenylamino methyleno) mangiferin,5-(N-α-napthylamino methyleno) mangiferin and 5-(N-4-methyl phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin *** synthesized compounds were further screened for antipyretic activity along with mangiferin at a dose level of 100 and 200 tng/*** and its analogues were characterized by melting point and R_f value determination and through spectral technique like UV,IR,and NMR spectral ***:The antipyretic activity of mangiferin as well as all analogues was found to be more significant in at higher dose ie.200 mg/kg which was depicted thmugh a decrease in rectal temperature up to 3 ***:The antipyretic activity of mangiferin and its analogues may be attributed to inhibition in synthesis of TNF-αand anti-oxidant activity associated with amelioration of inflammatory actions of cytokines.

The study was carried out in Matiranga Upazila,Bandarban district,which is considered one of Bangladesh’s major hill tract *** study aimed to identify present farming conditions,prospects,and problems and suitable solutions to the problems of fish *** participatory rapid appraisal tools such as focus group discussion,field visits,and farmers’interviews were used to collect relevant fish farming information in the study *** polyculture method was the most practised aquaculture *** the selected farms,eleven fish species were identified as culture *** transportation cost for seeds purchased from remote areas was high(11%of total seed cost).The average transportation-related mortality of fish fry and fingerlings was 7.2%and 2.8%.Feed cost was found as the major cost(58.4%)in *** and revenue for fish production per decimal varied from BDT 311 to 3528 and BDT 23 to *** of vacant lake,youth and women engagement,integrated aquaculture,the desire of people to engage in aquaculture,and available human resources were found as significant *** major problems identified were lack of hatchery,high feed cost,lack of stakeholder linkage,lack of capital for fish farming,and lack of proper knowledge,guidelines,and consultancy for fish culture.A community-based aquaculture model was proposed to overcome the present challenges and problems in the study *** model may help to expand aquaculture and thus improve the livelihood and socio-economic status of the people of the hilly areas of Bangladesh.

Altered three-dimensional architecture of chromatin influences various genomic regulators and subsequent gene expression in human ***,knowledge of the topological rearrangement of genomic hierarchical layers in cancer is largely ***,by taking advantage of in situ Hi-C,RNA-sequencing,and chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing(ChIP-seq),we investigated structural reorganization and functional changes in chromosomal compartments,topologically associated domains(TADs),and CCCTC binding factor(CTCF)-mediated loops in gallbladder cancer(GBC)tissues and cell *** observed that the chromosomal compartment A/B switch was correlated with CTCF binding levels and gene expression *** inter-TAD interactions with weaker TAD boundaries were identified in cancer cell lines relative to normal ***,the chromatin short loops and cancer unique loops associated with chromatin remodeling and epithelial–mesenchymal transition activation were enriched in cancer compared with their control ***-specific enhancer–promoter loops,which contain multiple transcription factor binding motifs,acted as a central element to regulate aberrant gene *** of individual enhancers in each loop anchor that connects with promoters led to the inhibition of their corresponding gene ***,our data offer the landscape of hierarchical layers of cancer genome and functional alterations that contribute to the development of GBC.

Delineation of groundwater potential zones using remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems(GIS)in Kadaladi region,Southern India

The primary objective of this research is to delineate potential groundwater recharge zones in the Kadaladi taluk of Ramanathapuram,Tamil Nadu,India,using a combination of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems(GIS)with the Analytical Hierarchical Process(AHP).Various factors such as geology,geomorphology,soil,drainage,density,lineament density,slope,rainfall were analyzed at a specific *** layers were evaluated for quality and relevance using Saaty's scale,and then inte-grated using the weighted linear combination *** weights assigned to each layer and features were standardized using AHP and the Eigen vector technique,resulting in the final groundwater potential zone *** AHP method was used to normalize the scores following the assignment of weights to each criterion or factor based on Saaty's 9-point ***-wise matrix analysis was utilized to calculate the geometric mean and normalized weight for various *** groundwater recharge potential zone map was created by mathematically overlaying the normalized weighted *** layers indicating major elements influencing groundwater occurrence and recharge were derived from satellite images.2 Results indicate that approximately 21.8 km of the total area exhibits high potential for groundwater *** recharge is viable in areas with moderate slopes,particularly in the central and southeastern regions.

Evaluation of Information Technology Implementation for Business Goal Improvement under Process Functionality in Economic Development

Improving organizational performance can be achieved through business process redesign (BPR). When it comes to modern work practices, organizations must often redesign their processes to keep up. This is where enterprise software comes in, offering a common data infrastructure that enables different parts of the organization to access all necessary financial data. The architecture of network accounting business process is divided into three layers. The core layer lies in the enterprise LAN that it can integrate six business processes information into one unity of financial information and non-financial information, including purchasing, inventory, production, sales, finance and customer service, and it can generate flexibly a variety of accounting statements to meet fully the information users’ demands by providing more complete and more valuable related information. The second layer lies in Intranet among enterprises based on the core layer that it can support the link of business processes and the inter-sharing of information among node enterprises of SCM and other external enterprises. The third layer lies in Internet based on the second layer that it can fit society, enterprise and individual together, the specific lays the solid foundation of business collaboration, remote management, online management and centralized management. The operating mechanisms of the network accounting business processes are as follows. When the business event occurs, the probe can get the event information in real-time and the result is stored in the database. Meanwhile, the drive controller can control the business events in real-time by gaining control criteria and standards from database. In case the standard is exceeded, the event is not allowed to occur. Enterprise’ business staff or external personnel can output automatically the required results through report tools if they had the reading authority.
