background:Myocardial injury due to ischemia‐reperfusion(IR)is aggravated in diabetes which is associated with oxidative *** oxidative stress via use of antioxidants has been shown to be effective at minimizing myocardial cell death and improving cardiac *** aim of the present study was to evaluate the cardioprotective effect of phloroglucinol against myocardial reperfusion injury(MRI)in diabetic ***:Diabetes was induced in female rats with streptozotocin(50 mg/kg).The diabetic rats were orally treated with phloroglucinol(100 and 200 mg/kg daily for 28 days).After treatment the hearts were isolated and mounted on a Langendorff *** hearts were subjected to 15 minutes of IR to induce myocardial *** functions including heart rate(HR),resting and developed tension,and rate of change of contraction(+dP/dtmax)were *** injury biomarkers lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and creatine kinase(CK‐Mb)were measured in the heart *** of the antioxidant enzymes reduced glutathione(GSH)and malondialdehyde(MDA)were *** and eosin(H&E)staining was also ***:After IR injury,a decrease in HR and+dP/dtmax in hearts from diabetic rat was seen compared to healthy rat hearts,which was reversed by phloroglucinol *** infarct size,measured by H&E staining,was increased in diabetic rats compared to healthy rats and an increase in the activity of LDH and CK‐Mb in the heart perfusate in diabetic rats was decreased by phloroglucinol *** increase in MDA levels and a decrease in levels of antioxidant enzymes were observed in diabetic rats,which was reversed with phloroglucinol ***:Phloroglucinol treatment has potential therapeutic promise in the treatment of MRI in diabetes.

A steady boundary layer flow over a porous flat plate has been considered in the present *** transfer analysis with first order chemical reaction is also considered instead of heat *** plate concentration is considered in the form of power law instead of taking *** goveming PDEs are transformed into ordinary differential equations using similarity transfomation and then these ODEs are solved by employing Runge-Kutta fourth order method associated with shooting technique.A parametric study of all involving parameters is obtained by the help of *** major findings are:(i)the concentration of the fluid in its boundary layer decrease with increase in heavier species,the reaction rate parameter and the power law exponent;(ji)the rate of mass transfer increases with an increase in reaction rafe parameter and power-law exponent.

A novel bioresin, epoxidized soybean oil was synthesized by in situ method and was characterized employing FTIR and NMR. The bioresin was blended with epoxy（DGEbA） at different ratios as reactive diluents for improved processibility and toughened nature. The composition with 20 wt% bioresin exhibited improved impact strength to the tune of 60% as compared to virgin epoxy. Fracture toughness parameters critical stress intensity factor（KIC） and critical strain energy release rate（GIC） were evaluated using single edge notch bending test and demonstrated superior enhancement in toughness. Dynamic mechanical, thermal, thermo mechanical and fracture morphological analyses have been studied for bio-based epoxy blends. Curing kinetics has been evaluated through DSC analysis to investigate the effect of bioresin on cross-linking reaction of neat epoxy with triethylenetetramine as curing agent.

Hearing loss(HL)is a kind of common illness,which can significantly reduce the quality of *** example,HL often results in mishearing,misunderstanding,and communication ***,it is necessary to provide early diagnosis and timely treatment for *** study investigated the advantages and disadvantages of three classical machine learning methods:multilayer perceptron(MLP),support vector machine(SVM),and least-square support vector machine(LS-SVM)approach andmade a further optimization of the LS-SVM model via wavelet *** investigation illustrated that themultilayer perceptron is a shallowneural network,while the least square support vector machine uses hinge loss function and least-square ***,a wavelet selection method was proposed,and we found db4 can achieve the best *** experiments showed that the LS-SVM method can identify the hearing loss disease with an overall accuracy of three classes as 84.89±1.77,which is superior to SVM *** results show that the least-square support vector machine is effective in hearing loss identification.

All possible arrangements of cycles of three periodic as well as four periodicHerman rings of transcendental meromorphic functions having at least one omitted value aredetermined. It is shown that if p = 3 or 4, then the number of p-cycles of Herman rings isat most one. We have also proved a result about the non-existence of a 3-cycle and a 4-cycleof Herman rings simultaneously. Finally some examples of functions having no Herman ringare discussed.

The cross section values of the^(71)Ga(n,γ)^(72)Ga reaction are measured,which are 9.14±0.81 mb and 5.74±0.50 mb at 2.15 and 3.19 MeV,*** detailed uncertainty propagation and covariance analysis are also ***^(7)Li(p,n)^(7)be reaction was used to generate the neutrons,and the neutron flux was normalized using the^(115)In(n,n′)^(115)In^(m)monitor *** measured cross section data are compared with the data available in the EXFOR database,the data obtained using nuclear reaction model codes EMPIRE-3.2 and TALYS-1.95,and also the evaluated nuclear data from ENDF/b-VIII.0 and JEFF-3.1/*** comparison shows that our result at 3.19 MeV is in good agreement with those of EMPIRE-3.2 and JEFF-3.1/*** there are no other measurements available at3.19 MeV,our data could not be compared with literature data at 3.19 MeV,but they are consistent with the cross section values available at 2.98±0.26 and 3.0±0.1 *** result at 2.15 MeV is slightly higher than the literature value available in EXFOR,evaluated value,and theoretically predicted result.

Efforts have been made to prepare nanocomposites of a-Fe2O3-ZnO by wet chemical route with varying concentrations of the *** microstructural properties of the samples are investigated by powder X-ray diffractometry（PXRD） and Transmission electron *** concentration of Zn ions（up to 20 at%） leads to the formation of nanocomposites of a-Fe2O3 and *** of ZnFe2O4 phase is detected by the substitution of higher concentration of Zn2？（30 at%） in the *** average size of the nanoparticles remains in the range of 22–27 nm as obtained from XRD *** results obtained from electron microscopic studies are also close to these *** measurement shows the excitonic peak of ZnO around 390 nm which gets strengthened with Zn *** spectra show the metal–oxygen band below 700 *** temperature Mssbauer studies of the samples show the transition of iron oxide form antiferromagnetic state to paramagnetic state with increasing concentration of Zn2？.Sharp quenching of hyperfine field with Zn concentration is observed as the Hintvalue reduced to zero from 51 T.

background:Rice is a major cereal crop and staple food of eastern India,and most farmers depend solely on rice for their *** farming provides both tangible and non-tangible benefits to ecosystems which need to be maintained and *** benefits are provided through ecosystem services(ES)that include both marketable and ***:In this study,the rice farms in eastern India were valued by quantifying the economic value of the services under conventional method of rice cultivation and the gap of ecosystem services value and farm income per unit area were assessed.A stratified random sampling technique was used in this study for selection of agro-climatic zones,districts,blocks,gram panchayat,and study units(households).Soil sampling was also performed for assessing the regulating services(biocontrol of pests,carbon flow,soil erosion,nitrogen fixation),provisioning services(food and by-products),and supporting services(soil fertility,hydrological flow,nutrient cycling,and soil formation).Results:The results indicated that the total economic value of ecosystem services ranged from US$1238 to 1688 ha−1 year−*** marketed(primary production)and non-marketed ecosystem services values ranged from 66–89 to 11–34%of the total,*** of some of the ecosystem services such as cultural services,biodiversity,and gas regulation,which may play a significant role in total ecosystem services,has not been made due to non-availability of data and appropriate methodology for rice *** values of parameters can explain the variability in ecosystem services among the agro-climatic zones in eastern *** of locations based on variability of ecosystem services helps in identifying intervention points for sustaining and improving ecosystem services,while permitting sustainable agro-ecological *** highest total economic gap between ES value and farm income was found in the north central plateau zone(US$

Measurement of(n,α)and(n,2n)reaction cross sections at a neutron energy of 14.92±0.02 MeV for potassium and copper with uncertainty propagation

Experimentally measured neutron activation cross sections are presented for the ^(65)Cu(n,0)^(62m)Cu,^(41) K(n,a)^(38C)l,and ^(65)Cu(n.2n)^(64)Cu reactions with detailed uncertainty *** neutron cross secions were measured at an incident energy of 14.92±0.02 MeV,and the neutrons were based on the(d,n)a fusion *** ^(27) Al(n,a)^(24)Na reaction was used as a reference reaction for the normalization of the neutron *** pre-calib-rated lead-shielded HPGe detector was used to detect the residues'γ-ray *** data from the measured cross sections are compared to the previously measured cross sections from the EXFOR database,theoretically calculated cross sections using the TALYS and EMPIRE codes,and evaluated nuclear data.
