Removal of Bi(Ⅲ) with Adsorption Technique Using Coconut Shell Activated Carbon

In present study,we report the preparation of coconut shell activated carbon as adsorbent and its appli-cation for Bi(Ⅲ) removal from aqueous *** developed adsorbent was characterized with scanning elec-tron microscope(SEM),Fourier Transform Infrared(FTIR),C,H,N,S analyzer,and BET surface area *** parameters examined include agitation time,initial concentration of Bi(Ⅲ),adsorbent dose and *** maximum adsorption of Bi(Ⅲ)(98.72%) was observed at 250 mg·L-1 of Bi(Ⅲ) and adsorbent dose of 0.7 g when agitation was at 160 r·min-1 for 240 min at(299±2) *** thermodynamic parameters such as Gibb's free energy(△Gθ),enthalpy(△Hθ) and entropy(△Sθ) were *** the isotherm models applied to adsorption study,the Langmuir isotherm model fits better than the Freundlich *** maximum adsorption capacity from the Langmuir isotherm was 54.35 mg?g?1 of Bi(Ⅲ).The kinetic study of the adsorption shows that the pseudo second order model is more appropriate than the pseudo first order *** result shows that,coconut shell ac-tivated carbon is an effective adsorbent to remove Bi(Ⅲ) from aqueous solutions with good adsorption capacity.

The new millennium has witnessed the emergence of minimally invasive, non-posterior based surgery of the lumbar spine, in particular via lateral based methodologies to discectomy and fusion. In contrast, and perhaps for a variety of reasons, anterior motion preservation(non-fusion) technologies are playing a comparatively lesser, though incompletely defined, role at present. Lateral based motion preservation technologies await definition of their eventual role in the armamentarium of minimally invasive surgical therapies of the lumbar spine. While injury to the major vascular structures remains the most serious and feared complication of the anterior approach, this occurrence has been nearly eliminated by the use of lateral based approaches for discectomy and fusion cephalad to L5-S1. Whether anterior or lateral based, non-posterior approaches to the lumbar spine share certain access related pitfalls and complications, including damage to the urologic and neurologic structures, as well as gastrointestinal and abdominal wall issues. This review will focus on the recognition, management and prevention of these anterior and lateral access related complications.

Nanostructured iron oxyhydroxide（Fe OOH） thin films have been synthesized using an electrodeposition method on a nickel foam（NF） substrate and effect of air annealing temperature on the catalytic performance is studied. The as-deposited and annealed thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）, field emission scanning electron microscopy（FE-SEM） and linear sweep voltammetry（LSV） to determine their structural, morphological, compositional and electrochemical properties, respectively. The as-deposited nanostructured amorphous Fe OOH thin film is converted into a polycrystalline Fe;O;with hematite crystal structure at a high temperature. The Fe OOH thin film acts as an efficient electrocatalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction（OER） in an alkaline 1 M KOH electrolyte. The film annealed at 200 °C shows high catalytic activity with an onset overpotential of 240 m V with a smaller Tafel slope of 48 m V/dec. Additionally, it needs an overpotential of 290 mV to the drive the current density of 10 m A/cm;and shows good stability in the 1 M KOH electrolyte solution.

MgBr2 performs as a novel catalyst for the synthesis of various 1,5-benzodiazepine derivatives from wide range of substituted o- phenylenediamines and various ketones in good to excellent isolated yields （93-98%） using water as solvent at ambient temperature. Several solvents were examined for this reaction; however, in terms of reaction yield and time, water was found to be the optimum solvent. The remarkable advantages offered by this method are easily and inexpensive available catalyst, simple procedure, mild conditions, much faster （40-60 man） reactions and good to excellent yields of products.

S-fuzzy Version of Stone's Theorem for Distributive Lattices

In this paper,we initiate a study of S-fuzzy ideal(filter) of a lattice where S stands for a meet semilattice.A S-fuzzy prime ideal(filter) of a lattice is defined and it is proved that a S-fuzzy ideal(filter) of a lattice is S-fuzzy prime ideal(filter) if and only if any non-empty α-cut of it is a prime ideal(filter).Stone's theorem for a distributive lattice is extended by considering S-fuzzy ideals(filters).

Objective:To investigate the effects of ethanolic extract of Lagenaria siceraria fruit(ELSF) on fat amassment and serum TNF-αin high-fat diet-induced obese ***:The high fat diet induced obese rals were orally treated with orlistat(50 mg/kg) and ELSF(100,200.300 mg/kg/day) to the respective treatment *** body weight,lasting blood glucose level,lipid profile, serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in rats were measured after 30 days of treatment adn compared to the obese control ***:ELSF significantly(P < 0.001) reduced the body weight gain,fasting blood glucose,total cholesterol,triglyceride,total protein and TNF-α.Conclusions:These encouraging findings suggest that Lagenaria siceraria has excellent pharmacological potential to prevent fat amassment.

A large number of reported road collisions are caused by driver inattention,and inappropriate driving *** study investigated the effectiveness and acceptance of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems(ADAS)for driver age groups,gender,occupation(professional/non-professional),and road type(expressway,urban roads,and semi-urban road)based on the Field Operational Test(FOT).The ADAS is provided with assistance features,such as Lane Departure Warning(LDW),Forward Collision Warning(FCW),and Traffic Speed Recognition Warning(TSRW).In total,the FOT involved 30 participants who drove the test vehicle twice(once in the stealth phase and once in the active phase).The FOT included three sections:expressway(20.60 km),urban road(7.2 km),and semi-urban road(13.35 km).A questionnaire was used to determine user acceptance of the ADAS *** addition,parametric and non-parametric statistical tests were carried out to determine ADAS's significant *** FOT results showed statistically significant differences in the LDW’s acceptance and effectiveness for gender,age group,occupation,and road type before and after exposure to *** participants showed significant lateral behavior improvement compared to female ***-aged drivers scored the highest acceptance score for the technology compared to middle and young-aged *** subjective ratings ranked the assistance features in descending order as TSRW,LDW,and *** study’s findings can support policy development and induce trust in the public for the technology adoption to improve road traffic safety.
