A new hybrid adaptive autoregressive moving average(ARMA)and functional link neural network(FLNN)trained by adaptive cubature Kalman filter(ACKF)is presented in this paper for forecasting day-ahead mixed short-term demand and electricity prices in smart *** hybrid forecasting framework is intended to capture the dynamic interaction between the electricity consumers and the forecasted prices resulting in the shift of demand curve in electricity *** proposed model comprises a linear ARMA-FLNN obtained by using a nonlinear expansion of the weighted *** nonlinear functional block helps introduce nonlinearity by expanding the input space to higher dimensional space through basis *** train the ARMA-FLNN,an ACKF is used to obtain faster convergence and higher forecasting *** proposed method is tested on several electricity markets,and the performance metrics such as the mean average percentage error(MAPE)and error variance are compared with other forecasting methods,indicating the improved accuracy of the approach and its suitability for a real-time forecasting.

The current study emphasizes inadequacies of earlier research findings on multi-robot navigation and offers a robust approach to guide the robots in an unknown dynamic *** attain the objective,the Intelligent Water Drop(IWD)algorithm is combined with Differential Evolution(DE)in a new conceptual fashion to optimize the navigation path of multiple mobile *** hybrid IWD-DE,basic IWD and DE algorithms are then explored for multi-robot navigation in a dynamic workspace through *** simulation outcomes demonstrate the competency of the proposed method to guide the robot in predicting the nature of the obstacle and to generate an optimal and safe trajectory in a dynamic *** potency of the proposed algorithm is further validated through experimentation with fire bird robot in a real *** outcomes of the simulation and experimentation,by employing IWD-DE algorithm are compared with those of basic IWD and DE *** error estimated for Average Navigation Path Travelled(ANPT),Aggregate Navigation Path Deviation(ANPD)and number of turns between simulation and experimental results by employing IWD-DE is 8.96,9.09,and 11.13,respectively while reaching 16.43,28.61,29.15 for IWD,and 6.66,10.20,14.28 for *** efficiency of the proposed approach is further verified with the state-of-the-art in a dynamic *** outcomes reveal the efficiency and flexibility of the proposed approach in resolving the multi-robot navigation problem as compared to the state-of-the-art in a dynamic workspace.

The major portion of energy in a building is consumed by heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning （HVAC）. The traditional heating and cooling systems contribute greatly to the emission of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide. Four different ways, i.e., Trombe wall, solar chimney, unglazed transpired solar facade, and solar roof, are adopted for solar heating. Similarly, two major ways, i.e., evaporative cooling and building integrated evaporative cooling are adopted for cooling of the building. Therefore, an attempt has been made in this paper to compile the developments of solar heating and cooling technologies in a building.

Antimicrobial proteins/peptides are becoming a new generation of immunostimulants for prevention and disease control in human and animals,including aquatic *** the haemolymph of horseshoe crabs(Tachypleus)contains broad ranges of bioactive compounds,we have explored the in vivo immunostimulating potential of amoebocyte lysate and plasma using a fish *** major carp,Labeo rohita,yearlings were injected intraperitoneally with two doses of lysate and plasma at 50 and 100µg protein per *** abnormalities and/or mortalities were recorded in any *** injected with 50µg lysate and 100µg plasma protein showed significant enhancement(P0.01)in any *** the contrary,a significantly high hemolysin titre was recorded in fish that received 100µg plasma *** challenge with Aeromonas hydrophila,both lysate and plasma protein(s)cross protected the fish after 30 *** highest survival(50%)was recorded in group injected with 50µg lysate protein,followed by 45%in both 100µg lysate and plasma protein injected groups.

Objective:To report the use of a 3 mm rigid nasal endoscope in primary endoscopic stapedotomy and clinical and audiological *** and methods:Thirty patients diagnosed with primary otosclerosis underwent endoscopic stapedotomy that was performed using a 3 mm nasal endoscope(Karl Storz).At 6 months follow-up,the patients were evaluated for intraoperative findings,postoperative hearing outcomes and ***:Canaloplasty was performed in 2(6.66%)patients,and no curettage of the canal wall was required in 12(40%)*** of the chorda tympani nerve was conducted in 11(36.66%)*** average duration of surgery was 36 min(range 31e65 min).The air-bone gap(ABG)was 35 dB(range 24e50 dB)preoperatively and 14.63 dB(range 9e20 dB)postoperatively(p?0.00).At 6 months follow-up,<20 dB ABG was achieved in 93.33%of the *** major intraoperative/postoperative complications were ***:A 3 mm rigid nasal endoscope can be effectively used in stapedotomy to obtain adequate audiological *** can be considered as a better alternative to the standard microscope or 4 mm endoscope in preserving the posterior canal wall and chorda tympani nerve while minimizing operative time without causing significant complications.

Dermatological disorders have a huge psychosocial impact, causing significant impairment of patient’s life. Topical therapy plays a pivotal role in management of such *** topical delivery systems result in overmedication/undermedication, leading to adverse effects and reduction in therapeutic efficacy. Consequently, researchers have been striving towards the development of alternative delivery systems for dermatological applications. In the last decade, microsponges emerged as an attractive option for topical delivery. Their characteristic particle size offers enhanced benefits, making them superior to the contemporary microcarriers. The present review furnishes a comprehensive account of state of the art, important factors affecting the performance and mechanism of drug release from topically applied microsponges, along with characterization techniques. Further, a list of marketed products and their applications for common dermatological disorders has been presented. All in all, this paper is an attempt to lay a bibliographic foundation for researchers working in this field and foster further investigations in this arena.

Background:The present study examines the short term dynamics and long term equilibrium relationship among the stock markets of 17 countries in Western Europe as well as the world market,using time series ***:Weekly returns of market benchmark indices of the respective countries are used from the second week of 1995 to the fourth week of December ***:The study finds that the market returns of Austria,Belgium,the Netherlands,and France are relatively less dynamically interlinked as compared with Britain,Denmark,Finland,Germany,Portugal,Spain,Sweden,Switzerland,Greece,Ireland,Luxembourg,and Norway,which are quite dynamically interlinked within the region as well as with the MSCI world ***:There exists a strong long run equilibrium relationship between the return distributions of the stock markets within the region.

Objective: To evaluate the antibacterial efficacy of five Indian medicinal plants such as Acalypha indica L.(A. indica), Aerva lanata(L.) Juss. ex Schult.(A. lanata), Clerodendrum inerme(L.) Gaertn., Pergularia daemia(Forsk.) Chiov. and Solanum surattense Burm. f. against opportunistic bacterial pathogens isolated from HIV infected patients for the potential phytoconstituents in plant ***: The opportunistic bacterial pathogens such as Escherichia coli(E. coli),Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi and Serratia marcescens from Gramnegative group and Staphylococcus aureus from Gram-positive group were isolated from HIV infected patients. The antibacterial efficacy of ethanolic extracts of selected medicinal plants was carried out by disc diffusion method. The potential phytoconstituents of medicinal plant extracts were identified by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry(GC–MS) ***: Among the five medicinal plants tested, A. indica and A. lanata showed the significant antibacterial activity. A. indica showed potential activity against Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli. A. lanata significantly exhibited antibacterial activity against E. coli, Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A total of 19 phytoconstituents were identified in the ethanolic extract of A. indica and A. lanata by GC–MS analysis ***: The results of the present investigation revealed that A. indica and A. lanata, possessed significant antibacterial activity when compared with the other plant extracts tested. The presence of 3-O-methyl-D-glucose by GC–MS analysis in both A. indica and A. lanata extracts has not been reported elsewhere in the literature and the findings in this study could be the first one to report.

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are subjected to attack detectionfor transmitting and creating new messages or existing message *** attacker on another node evaluates the forging activity in themessage directly or indirectly. Every node sends short packets in a MANETenvironment with its identifier, location on the map, and time through *** attackers on the network broadcast the warning message usingfaked coordinates, providing the appearance of a network collision. Similarly,MANET degrades the channel utilization performance. Performancehighly affects network performance through security algorithms. This paperdeveloped a trust management technique called Enhanced Beacon TrustManagement with Hybrid Optimization (EBTM-Hyopt) for efficient clusterhead selection and malicious node detection. It tries to build trust amongconnected nodes and may improve security by requiring every participatingnode to develop and distribute genuine, accurate, and trustworthy materialacross the network. Specifically, optimized cluster head election is done periodicallyto reduce and balance the energy consumption to improve the lifetimenetwork. The cluster head election optimization is based on hybridizingParticle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Gravitational Search OptimizationAlgorithm (GSOA) concepts to enable and ensure reliable routing. Simulationresults show that the proposed EBTM-HYOPT outperforms the state-of-thearttrust model in terms of 297.99 kbps of throughput, 46.34% of PDR, 13%of energy consumption, 165.6 kbps of packet loss, 67.49% of end-to-end delay,and 16.34% of packet length.
