Electrical conductivity has been measured at different temperatures for ZrO2 doped with various molar ratios of CuO. The conductivity increases due to migration of vacancies, created by doping. The conductivity was found to increase with increase in temperature till 220℃ and thereafter decrease due to collapse of the fluorite framework. A second rise in conductivity around 500 ℃ was observed due to phase transition of ZrO2. X-ray powder diffraction, DTA and IR studies were carried out for confirming doping effect and phase transition in ZrO2.

Semecarpus kurzii *** an important ethnomedicinal plant used for curing tumours,inflammation,fever and pain,and is also a source of iso ricinoleic *** the present investigation,effect of chemical pretreatments on germination and seedling growth revealed significant *** pre-treatments could improve germination and treatment with KNO_3 （9.9 mM）was significantly superior（94%） to the untreated control（76%）.Mean daily germination varied among the treatments（0.90–4.14 seeds per day）,when compared with 2.27 seeds per day in *** germination time was significantly reduced from 22.14 days（control） to 16.40 days（19.8 mM KNO_3） and 17.16 days（1.45 mM GA_3）.Treatment with KNO_3（19.8 mM） and GA_3（1.45 and 2.90 mM）significantly reduced the time for 50% *** with higher concentrations of GA_3 and KNO_3 exhibited significantly faster germination initiation（11.0 and 12.0 days,respectively） over the control（17.0 days）.Seedling vigour index was not improved by *** treatments did not improve shoot growth,collar thickness,or number of seedling leaves; however,root growth was significantly improved over *** with GA_3（2.90 mM） promoted leaf elongation but reduced leaf width *** with KNO_3 and GA_3 could be recommended to obtain healthy seedlings for establishing new plantations of this important medicinal plant species.

Endoscopic cryotherapy is a relatively new thermal ablative modality used for the treatment of neoplastic lesions of the esophagus. It relies on cycles of rapid cooling and thawing to induce tissue destruction with a cryogen(liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide) leading to intra and extra-cellular damage. Surgical treatment was once considered the standard therapeutic intervention for neoplastic diseases of the esophagus and is associated with considerable rates of morbidity and mortality. Several trials that evaluated cryotherapy in Barrett's esophagus(BE) associated neoplasia showed reasonable efficacy rates and safety profile. Cryotherapy has also found applications in the treatment of esophageal cancer, both for curative and palliative intent. Cryotherapy has also shown promising results as salvage therapy in cases refractory to radiofrequency ablation treatment. Cryoballoon focal ablation using liquid nitrogen is a novel mode of cryogen delivery which has been used for the treatment of BE with dysplasia and squamous cell carcinoma. Most common side effects of cryotherapy reported in the literature include mild chest discomfort, esophageal strictures and bleeding. In conclusion, cryotherapy is an effective and safe method for the treatment of esophageal neoplastic processes, ranging from early stages of low grade dysplasia to esophageal cancer.

The influence of pulsed light(PL)treatment and matrix pH was tested in the case of green table grape *** coli,Listeria monocytogenes,and Saccharomyces cerevisiae were inoculated into the table grape juices with matrix pH levels of 3.0,3.5,and ***,the juice was treated at 378-3186 J/cm^(2).The Weibull model better explained the microbial inactivation *** shape parameters(β)from the Weibull model for ***,***,and *** are 0.95±0.02,0.55±0.04,and 0.40±0.03,respectively.A lesserδ-value(scale parameter in J/cm^(2))was obtained for each microorganism at a lower *** exposure resulted in a lack of cell visibility,cell wall,and cell membrane disruption in bacterial *** inactivation of polyphenol oxidase(PPO),peroxidase(POD),and pectin methyl esterase(PME)was studied at an elevated fluence level of 1152-3186 J/cm^(2).Enzymes in the juice were less sensitive to PL than *** enzyme inactivation of>90%was achieved at 3186 J/cm^(2);thus,the juice was adjudged as the microbially safe and enzymatically stable pasteurized *** PL-induced enzyme inactivation followed nth-order kinetics with an inactivation order(n)of 1.1,1.15,and 0.85 for PPO,POD,and PME,*** enzyme inactivation rate was higher at a low *** PL-treated pasteurized juice at pH 3.5 showed the highest sensory acceptance(7.4 out of 9),with a minimal color change,a 7%loss in total phenolics,and a 12%loss in vitamin C and flavonoids.

Purpose-Decision support systems developed using machine learning classifiers have become a valuable tool in predicting various ***,the performance of these systems is adversely affected by the missing values in medical *** methods are used to predict these missing *** this paper,a new imputation method called hybrid imputation optimized by the classifier(HIOC)is proposed to predict missing values ***/methodology/approach-The proposed HIOC is developed by using a classifier to combine multivariate imputation by chained equations(MICE),K nearest neighbor(KNN),mean and mode imputation methods in an optimum *** of HIOC has been compared to MICE,KNN,and mean and mode *** classifiers support vector machine(SVM),naive Bayes(NB),random forest(RF)and decision tree(DT)have been used to evaluate the performance of imputation ***-The results show that HIOC performed efficiently even with a high rate of missing *** had reduced root mean square error(RMSE)up to 17.32%in the heart disease dataset and 34.73%in the breast cancer *** prediction of missing values improved the accuracy of the classifiers in predicting *** increased classification accuracy up to 18.61%in the heart disease dataset and 6.20%in the breast cancer ***/value-The proposed HIOC is a new hybrid imputation method that can efficiently predict missing values in any medical dataset.

Phytoremediation is a promising approach for reclamation of salt-affected *** is the most commonly used process,which exploits plants to absorb,immobilize,and accumulate salt in their *** this study,halotolerant plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR)were isolated from the rhizosphere of wild grasses growing naturally in salt-affected areas of Lucknow,Uttar Pradesh(India)and were tested for their efficacies of salt-tolerance and plant growth-promoting(PGP)*** on 16S rRNA sequences,the most efficient halotolerant isolates possessing PGP traits were identified as Pseudomonas plecoglossicida(KM 233646),Acinetobacter calcoaceticus(KM 233647),Bacillus flexus(KM 233648),and Bacillus safensis(KM 233652).Application of these isolates as bio-inoculants significantly(P<0.05)increased the growth and bacoside A yield of a medicinal plant,Bacopa monnieri(L.)Nash,grown on natural salt-affected *** phytoremediation of salt-affected soil was evident by the substantial increase in shoot Na^+:K^+ratio of bio-inoculant-treated *** compared to un-inoculated control plants,the soil physico-chemical properties of bio-inoculant-treated plants were *** shoot and root biomass(fresh and dry weights),soil enzymes,and soil nutrient parameters showed significant positive correlations with the shoot Na+:K+***,the halotolerant PGPR screened in this study could be useful for the reclamation of saline soils concomitant with improved plant growth and bacoside A yield.
