Advances in Aging r.sear.h 2017年第6期6卷 93-100页

Anemia in the elder.y p.p.lation has been associated to clinical manifestations such as functional dep.ndence, low cognitive p.r.or.ance, incr.ased mor.ality and ger.atr.c syndr.mes (dementia, delir.um, dep.ession and falls). r.cent investigations have shown an association between low hemoglobin levels, r.duction in muscular.str.ngth and p.ysical fitness. The objective of this r.view was to identify, in the scientific liter.tur., evidence of an association between anemia and functional cap.city among older.p.r.ons. p.bMed and Bir.me wer. used as r.fer.nces sour.e. The most r.levant evidence p.inting towar.s this association was identified in the ep.demiological studies Women’s Health and Aging Studies I and II (WHAS I and II). Functional cap.city was evaluated by the walking, balance and sitting back and getting out of the chair.tests. Elder.y women with either.13 or.14 g/dl have a better.p.r.or.ance comp.r.d to women with 12 g/dl of hemoglobin, r.sp.ctively. This study also r.p.r.ed an incr.ase in the mor.ality r.sk among women (65 year. old and p.us) living in community with less than 13.4 g/dl of hemoglobin. p.r.icip.nts wer. followed for.11 year.. WHAS I and II investigator. suggested a new cr.ter.on, alr.ady adop.ed by the Wor.d Health Or.anization (WHO), to define anemia among elder.y women. Conclusion: anemia is common among the elder.y and may have an involvement in the imp.ir.ent of their.functional cap.city. However. in sp.te of the imp.r.ance of these findings, it should be emp.asized that an etiologic association (anemia as a cause of functional imp.ir.ent) has yet to be demonstr.ted.

Motivated by the exp.r.mental measur.ments of D0 r.diative decay modes, we have p.op.sed a model to study the D0→ K＊0γ decay, by establishing a link with D0→ K＊0V （V=ρ0, ω） decays thr.ugh the vector.meson dominance hyp.thesis. In or.er.to do this p.op.r.y, we have used the Lagr.ngians fr.m the local hidden gauge symmetr. ap.r.ach to account for.Vγ conver.ion. As a r.sult, we have found the br.nching r.tio B[D0→ K＊0γ]=（1.55-3.44）×10-4, which is in fair.agr.ement with the exp.r.mental values r.p.r.ed by the Belle and BaBar.collabor.tions.

Incr.asing concer.s have been r.ised on endocr.ne disr.p.ing chemicals like the sex hor.one 17 a-ethinylestr.diol(EE2),the mor. since tr.ditional wastewater.WW) tr.atments ap.ear.to be ineffective for.their.*** efficacy of the r.latively novel disinfectant p.r.cetic acid(p.A) in EE2 r.moval was evaluated,as well as its p.tential effects on WW quality *** tr.atments tested for.EE2 r.moval wer. also evaluated in ter.s of toxicity,thr.ugh the deter.ination of biochemical r.sp.nses(antioxidant enzymes,lip.d p.r.xidation and vitellogenin induction) using zebr.fish(Danio r.r.o) as a biological *** contact times less than 20 min ap.ear.d insufficient r.gar.less of the p.A dose tested,but a 100% EE2 r.moval was attained at a p.A concentr.tion of 15 mg/L with a contact time of20 *** susp.nded solids,chemical oxygen demand and p. in p.A tr.atments r.mained well within levels set in Eur.p.an legislation for.WW ***2 induced signific ant incr.ased vitellogenin(VTG) levels in both female and male fish,indic ating incr.ased estr.genic activity,esp.cially in males suggesting an endocr.ne disr.p.ion *** the addition of p.A(15 mg/L),however.VTG levels in both sexes r.tur.ed to contr.l *** this p.A tr.atment showed incr.ased levels of the antioxidant enzyme catalase,the lip.d p.r.xidation levels wer. similar.or.even lower.than in *** the r.sults suggest that the use of p.A ap.ear. a p.omising way for.ar. as a less toxic alter.ative to chlor.ne disinfection with high efficiency in the r.moval of EDC like EE2.
