Background:Paclitaxel is a compound derived from Paciﬁc yew bark that induces various cancer cell ***,whether it also has anticancer activities in KOSC3 cells,an oral cancer cell line,is ***:3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide,ﬂow cytometry,and western blotting assays were carried out to assess cell viability,subG1 phase of the cell cycle,and apoptosis-related protein expression,***:Ourﬁndings indicate that paclitaxel could inhibit cell viability and increase the expression of apoptotic markers,including plasma membrane blebbing and the cleavage of poly ADP-ribose polymerase in KOSC3 ***,the treatment with paclitaxel remarkably elevated the percentage of the subG1 phase in KOSC3 *** addition,treatment with a pan-caspase inhibitor could recover paclitaxel-inhibited cell ***,caspase-8,caspase-9,caspase-7,and BH3 interacting domain death agonist(Bid)were activated in paclitaxel-treated KOSC3 ***:Paclitaxel induced apoptosis through caspase cascade in KOSC3 cells.

BACKGROUND Low-grade appendiceal neoplasms(LAMN)are characterized by low incidence and atypical clinical presentations,often leading to misdiagnosis as acute or chronic appendicitis before *** primary diagnostic tool for LAMN is abdominal computed tomography(CT)*** resection remains the cornerstone of LAMN management,necessitating en bloc tumor excision to minimize the risk of iatrogenic ***,known for its minimal invasiveness,reduced postoperative discomfort,and expedited recovery,is a safe and reliable approach for LAMN *** the possibility of pseudomyxoma peritonei development,appendectomy and partial appendectomy generally result in negative tumor margins and favorable outcomes,which can be attributed to the disease’s slow growth and lower *** SUMMARY A 71-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital with a pelvic spaceoccupying lesion detected 1 mo *** examination showed a soft abdomen without tenderness or rebound and no palpable *** shifting dullness was noted,and digital rectal examination revealed no palpable *** revealed a raised,smooth-surfaced mass measuring 3.0 cm in the *** contrast-enhanced CT showed a markedly thickened and dilated appendix with visible cystic *** surgery was performed and revealed a significantly dilated appendix,leading to laparoscopic resection of the appendix and part of the ***-surgical pathologic analysis confirmed *** patient received symptomatic and supportive post-operative care and was discharged on postoperative day 4 without complications such as abdominal bleeding,intestinal obstruction,or incision *** tumor recurrence was observed during a 7-mo follow-up *** LAMN is a rare disease that lacks specific clinical *** CT plays a crucial role in diagnosing LAMN,and laparoscopic surgery is a safe and effective diagnostic and therapeutic approach.

From ∼5000 deg^(2) of the combination of the Beijing–Arizona Sky Survey and Mayall z-band Legacy Survey which is also the northern sky region of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Legacy Imaging Surveys, we selected a sample of 31,825 candidates of low surface brightness galaxies (LSBGs) with the mean effective surface brightness 24.2 0.60) LSBGs. The blue LSBGs appear spiral, disk or irregular while the red LSBGs are spheroidal or elliptical and spatially clustered. This trend shows that the color has a strong correlation with galaxy morphology for LSBGs. In the spatial distribution, the blue LSBGs are more uniformly distributed while the red ones are highly clustered, indicating that red LSBGs preferentially populate a denser environment than the blue LSBGs. Besides, both populations have a consistent distribution of ellipticity (median ∈∼ 0.3), half-light radius (median r_(eff) ∼ 4″) and Sérsic index (median n=1), implying the dominance of the full sample by the round and disk galaxies. This sample has definitely extended the studies of LSBGs to a regime of lower surface brightness, fainter magnitude and broader other properties than the previously Sloan Digital Sky Survey-based samples.

BACKGROUND In the past decade,the evolution of themes in the field of osteoporotic fractures has changed from epidemiology and prediction of long-term morbidity,risk assessment of osteoporotic fractures,and zoledronic acid and denosumab in the treatment of osteoporosis to treatment guidelines for osteoporosis and the side effects caused by anti-osteoporotic *** To understand the trends and hotspots in osteoporotic fracture *** Original articles were retrieved between January 1,2010,and December 31,2019,from the Web of Science Core Collection *** software facilitated the analysis and visualization of scientific productivity and emerging *** Nine studies were identified using bibliometric indices,including citation,centrality,and sigma value,which might indicate a growing *** clustering,we identified six major hot *** burst analysis,top-5 references with the strongest bursting strength after 2017 were identified,indicating a future hotspot in this *** Current hot subtopics in osteoporotic fracture research include atypical femoral fractures,androgen deprivation therapy,denosumab discontinuation,hip fractures,trabecular bone score(TBS),and bone *** and prevention of secondary fractures in patients with osteoporotic fractures,TBSs,and long-term administration strategy for zoledronic acid are expected to become research hotspots.

瞳孔大小作为反映个体心理状态的窗口在社会互动中担任着重要的角色。除了非社会性信息(如刺激物理属性等因素)加工被发现影响瞳孔大小变化之外,越来越多的文献指出,瞳孔大小与个体社会信息加工之间也存在密切关系。基于此,本文系统综述了社会性刺激(如面孔和生物运动)本身以及社会性刺激含有的情绪信息对于瞳孔大小的影响,总结出瞳孔大小变化不仅可以反映个体对社会信息的感知,同样可以体现个体对更为复杂的社会互动情境的加工。这种社会性信息加工相关的瞳孔大小变化主要涉及个体的情绪唤醒和社会性注意过程。此外,对于自闭症谱系患者这一在社会互动中存在障碍的特殊群体,有关研究发现其对社会性刺激存在异常的瞳孔反应模式。这一特异性为进一步采用瞳孔指标对自闭症进行早期诊断提供了支持,具有重要的理论和实践意义。

Rubbers or elastomers play an important role in hi-tech technology and civilian daily life because of their unique and strategical ***,the rubber additives are essential components for rubbers’practical ***,developing novel multifunctional additives has attracted increasing research *** this work,low-cost crude carbon dots(CCDs)were used as multifunctional additives for natural rubber/silica system(without any additional modification)through industrial compatible melt-mixing *** results revealed that the CCDs could disperse well in the NR/silica system,and they could not only endow the rubber compound with excellent anti-aging capability due to CCDs’radical scavenging activity because of their plenty of nitrogen-containing species,but also improve the curing rate and mechanical performance of the rubber ***,the CCDs could reduce the rolling resistance of the rubber composites(tanδvalue at 7%strain of the rubber composite could be decreased by 34%),which is promising for the application of energy-saving tire ***,the addition of CCDs could effectively reduce the ZnO dosage by at least 40%in the rubber composite without deteriorating its ***,this work provides valuable guidance to develop novel cheap yet effective additives for the elastomer.
