Polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)is an optically transparent thermoplastic with favorable processing *** this study,a series of plastic scintillators are prepared via thermal polymerization,and the impact of PMMA content on their transparency and pulse shape discrimination(PSD)ability is *** fabricated samples,comprising a polystyrene(PS)-PMMA matrix,30.0 wt%2,5-diphenyloxazole(PPO),and 0.2 wt%9,10-diphenylanthracene(DPA),exhibit high transparency with transmissivity ranging from 70.0 to 90.0%(above 415.0 nm)and demonstrate excellent n/γdiscrimination *** increased with increasing PMMA content across the entire visible light ***,the PSD performance gradually deteriorated when the aromatic matrix was replaced with *** scintillator containing 20.0 wt%PMMA demonstrated the best stability concerning PSD properties and relative light yields.

Cholesterol plays a significant role in the organization of lipids and modulation of membrane dynamics in mammalian cells. However, the effect of cholesterol depletion on the eukaryotic cell membranes seems controversial. In this study, the effects of cholesterol on the topography and mechanical behaviors of CHO-K1 cells with manipulated membrane cholesterol contents were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) technique. Here, we found that the depletion of cholesterol in cell membranes could increase the membrane stiffness, reduce the cell height as well as promote cell retraction and detachment from the surface, whereas the cholesterol restoration could reverse the effect of cholesterol depletion on the membrane stiffness. Increased methyl-β-cyclodextrin levels and incubation time could significantly increase Young’s modulus and degree of stiffing on cell membrane and cytoskeleton. This research demonstratede importance of cholesterol in regulating the dynamics of cytoskeleton-mediated processes. AFM technique offers excellent advantages in the dynamic monitoring of the change in membranes mechanical properties and behaviors during the imaging process. This promising technology can be utilized in studying the membrane properties and elucidating the underlying mechanism of distinct cells in the near-native environment.

Neutron computed tomography(NCT)is widely used as a noninvasive measurement technique in nuclear engineering,thermal hydraulics,and cultural *** neutron source intensity of NCT is usually low and the scan time is long,resulting in a projection image containing severe *** reduce the scanning time and increase the image reconstruction quality,an effective reconstruction algorithm must be *** CT image reconstruction,the reconstruction algorithms can be divided into three categories:analytical algorithms,iterative algorithms,and deep *** the analytical algorithm requires complete projection data,it is not suitable for reconstruction in harsh environments,such as strong radia-tion,high temperature,and high *** learning requires large amounts of data and complex models,which cannot be easily deployed,as well as has a high computational complexity and poor ***,this paper proposes the OS-SART-PDTV iterative algorithm,which uses the ordered subset simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique(OS-SART)algorithm to reconstruct the image and the first-order primal–dual algorithm to solve the total variation(PDTV),for sparse-view NCT three-dimensional *** novel algorithm was compared with other algorithms(FBP,OS-SART-TV,OS-SART-AwTV,and OS-SART-FGPTV)by simulating the experimental data and actual neutron projection *** reconstruction results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms the FBP,OS-SART-TV,OS-SART-AwTV,and OS-SART-FGPTV algorithms in terms of preserving edge structure,denoising,and suppressing artifacts.

The most critical part of a neutron computed tomography(NCT) system is the image processing algorithm,which directly affects the quality and speed of the reconstructed *** types of noise in the system can degrade the quality of the reconstructed ***,to improve the quality of the reconstructed images of NCT systems,efficient image processing algorithms must be *** anisotropic diffusion filtering(ADF) algorithm can not only effectively suppress the noise in the projection data,but also preserve the image edge structure information by reducing the diffusion at the image ***,we propose the application of the ADF algorithm for NCT image *** compare the performance of different algorithms in NCT systems,we reconstructed images using the ordered subset simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique(OS-SART) algorithm with different regular terms as image processing *** the iterative reconstruction,we selected two image processing algorithms,the Total Variation and split Bregman solved total variation algorithms,for comparison with the performance of the ADF ***,the filtered back-projection algorithm was used for comparison with an iterative *** reconstructing the projection data of the numerical and clock models,we compared and analyzed the effects of each algorithm applied in the NCT *** on the reconstruction results,OS-SART-ADF outperformed the other algorithms in terms of denoising,preserving the edge structure,and suppressing *** example,when the 3D Shepp–Logan was reconstructed at 25 views,the root mean square error of OS-SART-ADF was the smallest among the four iterative algorithms,at only *** universal quality index,mean structural similarity,and correlation coefficient of the reconstructed image were the largest among all algorithms,with values of 0.9877,0.9878,and 0.9887,respectively.

New ligand 1,2-bis{di[（R,R）-1,3,2-oxzaphosphlidine]phosphino}ethane [（R,R）-BDOPPEs 1,2,3 and 4] with C2-symmetric axis and bearing nitrogen and oxygen were synthesized from readily available optically active amino *** complexes with these ligands were highly enantioselective catalysts for asymmetric hydrogenation of N-benzoyldehydroamino acid derivatives and α-functionalized ketones in 99%*** 98%e.e.,*** new class of（R,R）-BDOPPEs 1,2,3 and 4 gave much more effectivity and enantionselectivity than their corresponding non-C2-asymmetric aminophosphine phosphinite.

For nuclear measurements,it is necessary to obtain accurate information from nuclear pulses,which should be obtained by first shaping the pulses outputted by the ***,commonly used pulse-shaping algorithms have certain *** example,certain pulse-shaping algorithms have long dead-times in high-counting-rate environments or are difficult to achieve in digital *** signals are widely used in analog nuclear instruments owing to their symmetry and completeness.A Gaussian signal is usually implemented by using a multilevel S–K filter in series or in *** is difficult to construct a real-time digital Gaussian filter for the complex Gaussian filtering *** on the multilevel cascade convolution,a pulse-shaping algorithm for double exponential signals is proposed in this study,which,in addition to double exponential signals,allows more complex output signal models to be used in the new *** proposed algorithm can be used in high-counting-rate environments and has been implemented in an FPGA with fewer multipliers than those required in other traditional Gaussian pulse-shaping *** offline processing results indicated that the average peak base width of the output-shaped pulses obtained using the proposed algorithm was reduced compared with that obtained using the traditional Gaussian pulse-shaping *** results also demonstrated that signal-to-noise ratios and energy resolutions were improved,particularly for pulses with a low *** energy resolution was improved by 0.1–0.2%while improving the counting rate.
