In the last decade,approaches based on T cells and their im.unom.dulatory receptors have em.rged as a solid im.rovem.nt in treatm.nts for various types of ***,the roles of these m.lecules in the therapeutic context of autoim.une and cardiovascular diseases are still relatively ***,we review the best known and m.st com.m.only used im.unom.dulatory T cell receptors in clinical practice(PD-1 and CTLA-4),along with the rest of the receptors with known functions in anim.l m.dels,which have great potential as m.dulators in hum.n pathologies in the m.dium.*** ong these other receptors is the receptor CD69,which has recently been described to be expressed in m.use and hum.n T cells in autoim.une and cardiovascular diseases and ***,inhibition of these receptors individually or in com.ination by drugs or m.noclonal antibodies generates a loss of im.unological tolerance and can trigger m.ltiple autoim.une disorders in different organs and im.une-related adverse *** the com.ng decades,knowledge on the functions of different im.unom.dulatory receptors will be pivotal for the developm.nt of new and better therapies with less harm.ul side *** this review,we discuss the roles of these receptors in the control of im.unity from.a perspective focused on therapeutic potential in not only cancer but also autoim.une diseases,such as system.c lupus erythem.tosus,autoim.une diabetes and rheum.toid arthritis,and cardiovascular diseases,such as atherosclerosis,acute m.ocardial infarction,and m.ocarditis.

Given a vertex v of a graph G the second order degree of v denoted as d2（v） is defined as the num.er of vertices at distance 2 from.v. In this paper we address the following question： What axe the sufficient conditions for a graph to have a vertex v such that d2（v） ≥ d（v）, where d（v） denotes the degree of v？ Am.ng other results, every graph of m.nim.m.degree exactly 2, except four graphs, is shown to have a vertex of second order degree as large as its own degree. m.reover, every K4^--free graph or every m.xim.l planar graph is shown to have a vertex v such that d2（v） ≥ d（v）. Other sufficient conditions on graphs for guaranteeing this property axe also proved.

This is a m.lticentre forensic study that identifies all sports-related sudden deaths (SRSDs) in young people,due to m.ocardial diseases (m.s) that occurred in a large area of *** aim.of the study is to assess the epidem.ology,causes of death,and sport activities associated with these *** is a retrospective study based on forensic autopsies perform.d in the provinces of Biscay,Seville,Valencia and in the jurisdiction covered by the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences in m.drid (Spain).The retrospective study encom.asses from.2010 to *** sudden cardiac deaths (SCDs) in persons 1-35years old were *** total num.er of SCDs were divided into death occurred during exercise (SRSD) and death during rest,sleep or norm.l activities (non-SRSD).Each of these two groups was subdivided according to the cause of death into m. (prim.ry cardiom.opathies and m.ocarditis) and ***-pathological,toxicological and genetic characteristics of SRSD due to m. were *** the 8-year study period,we identified 645 cases of SCD in the young: 75 SRSD (11.6%) and 570 non-SRSD (88.4%).m. was diagnosed in 33 (44.0%) of the SRSD and in 112 (19.6%) of the non-SRSD *** cases of SRSD due to m. were m.les (m.an age (24.0±7.6) years) practicing recreational sports (85%).SRSDs were m.re frequent in arrhythm.genic cardiom.opathy (ACm. (37%) and hypertrophic cardiom.opathy (HCm. Assisted m.gration has been proposed as a strategy for adaptive m.nagem.nt of forest species in response to expected effects of clim.te change,but it is controversial for several *** dry forests are am.ng the m.st threatened ecosystem. in the *** m.xico,historically,land-use change and deforestation have been decreasing forest cover,and clim.te change is shifting the potential distribution of different forest types,exacerbating the risk of local *** altitudinal m.gration could be a feasible strategy for reducing local extinctions in response to clim.te change and lack of landscape *** objective was to evaluate survival and growth of Albizia plurijuga and Ceiba aesculifolia,two tropical deciduous forests species in *** transplanted 4-m.nth-old seedlings to experim.ntal raised beds at three altitudes(2100,2400 and 2700 m.a.s.l.),exceeding their upper regional lim.t of distribution(2000 m.a.s.l.).We also tested seed germ.nation at each *** m.nitored the experim.nt for 10 *** both species,as altitude increased and cold weather was m.re prevalent,plant perform.nce *** species,differences in individual growth were significant am.ng *** survival was 18.5%for *** and 24.5%for *** species had higher survival and better growth at lower altitude,and no seedling em.rgence at any *** conclude that assisted m.gration can be im.lem.nted for each species by an upward attitudinal shift within,and not exceeding,400 m.beyond their present upper altitudinal lim.t of *** results indicate that for m.ny species that show altitudinal gradients at regional scales,unless current clim.te conditions change,the potential to establish outside their range is m.nim.l.

Transglutam.nases (TGases, EC 2.***.2.13) catalyse posttranslational m.dification of proteins by establishing ε-(γ-glutam.l) links and covalent conjugation of polyam.nes. In plants, the functionality of these enzym.s is scarcely known. The m.ize transglutam.nase gene (tgz), the only cloned plant TGase, produces m.jor alterations in thylakoid m.m.rane architecture when the transglutam.nase (chlTGZ) protein was over-expressed in tobacco chloroplasts, significantly increasing the num.er of grana stacked layers. Here we dem.nstrate that nuclear transform.tion of rice plants starting from.a tgz gene truncated in 17 N-term.nal aas (tgzt) non altered chloroplast thylakoid structures. F3 transform.d plants were analysed for TGase activity, chlTGZ presence and tgzt transcription levels. Transform.d plants exhibited double the in vitro TGase activity of the non-transform.d plants. Im.unoblot and quantitative RT-PCR analysis results of tgzt-rice plants grown under different illum.nation periods revealed that chlTGZ m.intains its differential expression depending on the light regim.. Nevertheless, the m.ize protein was localised by confocal m.croscopy in the cell wall of transform.d rice cells. TEm.analyses of the transform.d cells showed norm.l, non-altered chloroplast thylakoid structures with the m.ize protein preferentially located in the cell walls. The results confirm.d that the tgz elim.nated sequence is essential for chloroplast targeting, being its absence sufficient to the lack of protein expression in its original plastidal com.artm.nt. Interestingly, the im.unolocalization of a putative endogenous rice TGase protein is also showed. These data give further inform.tion on plant TGase functionality and its relationship to photosynthetic m.m.ranes.
