The human endometrium and embryo both produce microRnAs(miRnAs),which are involved in various physiological *** evident suggested that endometrial miRnAs are regulated by steroid hormones that modulate endometrial functions,whereas embryo-derived miRnAs play vital roles in maternal–embryo *** aberrant expression of endometriumor embryo-derived miRnAs can cause early pregnancy and gestational disorders,including repeated implantation failure,recurrent miscarriage,and pathological conditions such as *** are,therefore,ideal candidates for conducting clinicopathological *** diagnostic and prognostic tests using miRnAs are under development;however,the therapeutic applications of miRnAs in regulating gestational disorders require further investigation.

Embryo dormancy(embryo diapause) is a reproductive strategy used by approximately 100 different mammals to avoid the risk of exposing their offsprings to unfavourable environmental conditions by delaying embryo *** molecular mechanism of embryonic diapause is not yet *** hypothesize that endometrial exosome/microvesicles(EV) regulates embryo *** detected miRnA profiles in EV between dormant and activated uterine fluid and found that the members of let-7 family were highly expressed in dormant uterine fluid ***,embryos have ability to take up endometrial exosomes/*** examine the roles of let-7 in embryo dormancy,we eletroporated let-7 a into embryos and found that embryos electroporated with let-7 can be alive even after the culture for up to Day 13.18.8%of embryos from let-7 g transgenic mice developed to term after culture for 6 days(ie Day 10).Microarray analysis showed that 47%gene expression were similar between let-7-treated and P4-induced dormant embryos compared to D4 or E2-activated embryos and most of genes were related to cell cycle and *** results showed that let-7 has an important role in the process of embryo dormancy in *** level of let-7 was elevated in Iin28 transgenic embryos which were transferred into wild-type delayed implantation model for 3 *** result suggests that the increased levels of let-7 in dormant embryo were mainly derived from outside *** exosomes/microvesicle of highly expressed let-7 prolonged the survival time of embryos in *** conclusion,our results demonstrated that let-7 of endometrial exosomes/microvesicles regulated embryo dormancy in mice.

Abnormal expression of microRnAs is connected to brain development and disease and could provide novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of bipolar disorder. We performed a PubMed search for microRnA biomarkers in bipolar disorder and found 18 original research articles on studies performed with human patients and published from January 2011 to June 2023. These studies included microRnA profiling in bloodand brain-based materials. From the studies that had validated the preliminary findings,potential candidate biomarkers for bipolar disorder in adults could be miR-140-3p,-30d-5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-21-3p,-330-3p,-345-5p in whole blood, miR-19b-3p,-1180-3p,-125a-5p, let-7e-5p in blood plasma, and miR-7-5p,-23b-5p,-142-3p,-221-5p,-370-3p in the blood serum. Two of the studies had investigated the changes in microRnA expression of patients with bipolar disorder receiving treatment. One showed a significant increase in plasma miR-134 compared to baseline after 4 weeks of treatment which included typical antipsychotics, atypical antipsychotics, and benzodiazepines. The other study had assessed the effects of prescribed medications which included neurotransmitter receptorsite binders(drug class B) and sedatives, hypnotics, anticonvulsants, and analgesics(drug class c) on microRnA results. The combined effects of the two drug classes increased the significance of the results for miR-219 and-29c with miR-30e-3p and-526b* acquiring significance. MicroRnAs were tested to see if they could serve as biomarkers of bipolar disorder at different clinical states of mania, depression, and euthymia. One study showed that upregulation in whole blood of miR-9-5p,-29a-3p,-106a-5p,-106b-5p,-107,-125a-3p,-125b-5p and of miR-107,-125a-3p occurred in manic and euthymic patients compared to controls, respectively, and that upregulation of miR-106a-5p,-107 was found for manic compared to euthymic patients. Post-traumatic stress disorder is a mental disorder caused by exposure to severe traumatic life ***,there are no validated biomarkers or laboratory tests that can distinguish between trauma survivors with and without post-traumatic stress *** addition,the heterogeneity of clinical presentations of post-traumatic stress disorder and the overlap of symptoms with other conditions can lead to misdiagnosis and inappropriate *** suggests that this condition is a multisystem disorder that affects many biological systems,raising the possibility that peripheral markers of disease may be used to diagnose post-traumatic stress *** performed a PubMed search for microRnAs(miRnAs)in post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)that could serve as diagnostic biomarkers and found 18 original research articles on studies performed with human patients and published January 2012 to December *** included four studies with whole blood,seven with peripheral blood mononuclear cells,four with plasma extracellular vesicles/exosomes,and one with serum *** of these studies had also used whole *** studies were excluded as they did not involve microRnA *** of the studies had collected samples from adult male Veterans who had returned from deployment and been exposed to combat,and only two were from recently traumatized adult *** measuring miRnA expression levels,many of the studies had used microarray miRnA analysis,miRnA Seq analysis,or nanoString *** six studies had used real time polymerase chain reaction assay to determine/validate miRnA expression in PTSD subjects compared to *** miRnAs that were found/validated in these studies may be considered as potential candidate biomarkers for PTSD and include miR-3130-5p in whole blood;miR-193a-5p,-7113-5p,-125a,-181c,and-671-5p in peripheral blood mononuclear cells;miR-10b-5p,-203a-3p,-4488,-502-3p,-874-3p,-5100,and-7641 in plasma extracellular vesicles/

Multiple robotic flexible endoscope platforms have been developed based on cross specialty collaboration between engineers and medical doctors. However, significant number of these platforms have been developed for the natural orifice transluminal endo-scopic surgery paradigm. Increasing amount of evidence suggest the focus of development should be placed on advanced endolumenal procedures such as endoscopic submucosal dissection instead. A thorough literature analysis was performed to assess the current status of robotic flexible endoscopic platforms designed for advanced endolumenal procedures. current efforts are mainly focused on robotic locomotion and robotic instrument control. In the future, advances in actuation and servoing technology, optical analysis, augmented reality and wireless power transmission technology will no doubt further advance the field of robotic endoscopy. Globally, health systems have become increasingly budget conscious; widespread acceptance of robotic endoscopy will depend on careful design to ensure its delivery of a cost effective service.

Tremendous advances have been made in recent years addressing the key obstacles to safe performance and introduction of human natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (nOTES). Animal studies have focused on identifying optimal solutions to these obstacles, in particular methods of creating transluminal access,safe closure of the point of access, and development of a multitasking platform with dedicated instruments. Whether the performance data generated from these animal studies can be reproduced in humans has yet to be determined. Reports of human nOTES procedures are emerging, and the possibility of accomplishing human nOTES based on existing technology has been demonstrated. However, dedicated platforms and devices are still lacking to allow for pure nOTES procedures, and whether nOTES can deliver the postulated benef its of earlier recovery and improved cosmesis remains uncertain.

It is known that Jφrn Utzon(1918-2008),the principal architect for the Sydney Opera House project(1957-66),had a lifetime obsession for chinese art and ***,previous studies did not explore the relationship between Utzon and his venerated chinese writer Lin Yutang(1895-1976).How Utzon represented the ideas and ideals he received from Lin Yutang's conceptualization of chinese art and architecture in My country and My People(1935)has not been systematically *** this end,this article examines the role of Lin Yutang's work in Utzon's architectural career generally and the architect's Sydney Opera House design in *** argues that My country and My People nurtured young Utzon's own architectural philosophy,as reflected in his early manifestoes and design ***,Lin Yutang's chinese aesthetics encapsulated in calligraphy,painting and architecture helped Utzon to initiate,articulate and further communicate the design principles of his Sydney Opera House,as well as several other important architectural works before and *** Utzon never fully realized his Opera House due to forced resignation in 1966,the inspiration from Lin Yutang vividly remains in Utzon's yet to be finished masterpiece.
