Objective:to investigate the long-term safety of a tetravalent dengue vaccine(CYD-tDV)in children in a phase Ⅱ b follow-up study in ***:In the phase Ⅱb study,children aged 4-11 years were randomized(2:1)to receive three injections of CYD-tDV or serve as control at 6-month intervals,with 25 months’ active follow-up(active phase).this study was an additional four-year passive surveillance for hospitalized virologically-confirmed dengue(VCD;hospital phase).Cases of hospitalized VCD,severe hospitalized VCD,vaccine-related serious adverse events,and deaths were reported for the total population,with post-hoc analyses by enrollment age(ts:Of 3 997 participants receiving≥1 injection,80.1% were recruited to the hospital phase[2 131(CYD-tDV);1 072(control)].Eighty-five hospitalized VCD cases were reported in the CYD-tDV group and 46 in the control group during the four-year hospital phase[relative risk(RR):0.93,95% confidence interval(Cl):0.64-1.36].the RR over six years of follow-up was 0.77(95% CI:0.57-1.05).In those aged≥9 years,the cumulative RRs in the active phase,hospital phase,and entire six years were 0.28(95% CI:0.08-0.81),0.51(95% CI:0.25-1.05),and 0.42(95% CI:0.24-0.75),*** the overall population,there were ten severe hospitalized VCD cases in the CYD-tDV group and five in the control group over six years(RR:1.00,95% CI:0.31-3.75).Conclusions:Over six years of follow-up,in children aged ≥9 years,CYD-tDV administration is associated with a reduced risk of hospitalized VCD.

the nano-gold layer formed on the platinum rotating disk electrode (nano-Au/Pt-RD) inherited the catalytic property for Cr(VI) reduction from platinum surface and owned the good features of nano-gold such as insensitivity with hydrogen ion, high surface area, augmenting diffusion of Cr(VI) and ability for self-assembling with 4-pyridine-ethanethiol (PEt) through Au←S linkages, to form PEt/nano-Au/Pt-RD electrode capable of accumulating Cr(VI) from sample. the obtained PEt/ nano-Au/Pt-RD electrode showed an extreme sensitivity to Cr(VI). By using this electrode, 1.09 ng·L﹣1 was the detection limit of differential pulse adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry for Cr(VI) with the accumulation time of only 2 min. Moreover, this electrode was reproducible with 3.5% RSD for 30 times of Cr(VI) accumulating and stripping. In addition, this electrode was also selective for Cr(VI) determination, which was not almost interfered by other inorganic ions.

In this paper,by combining the inertial technique and the gradient descent method with Polyak's stepsizes,we propose a novel inertial self-adaptive gradient algorithm to solve the split feasi-bility problem in Hilbert spaces and prove some strong and weak convergence theorems of our method under standard *** examine the performance of our method on the sparse recovery prob-lem beside an example in an infinite dimensional Hilbert space with synthetic data and give some numerical results to show the potential applicability of the proposed method and comparisons with related methods emphasize it further.

A novel over-sampling method and its application to miRNA prediction

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short (~22nt) non-coding RNAs that play an indispensable role in gene regulation of many biological processes. Most of current computational, comparative, and non-comparative methods commonly classify human precursor micro- RNA (pre-miRNA) hairpins from both genome pseudo hairpins and other non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs). Although there were a few approaches achieving promising results in applying class imbalance learning methods, this issue has still not solved completely and successfully yet by the existing methods because of imbalanced class distribution in the datasets. For example, SMOtE is a famous and general over-sampling method addressing this problem, however in some cases it cannot improve or sometimes reduces classification performance. therefore, we developed a novel over-sampling method named incre-mental- SMOtE to distinguish human pre-miRNA hairpins from both genome pseudo hairpins and other ncRNAs. Experimental results on pre-miRNA datasets from Batuwita et al. showed that our method achieved better Sensitivity and G-mean than the control (no over- sampling), SMOtE, and several successsors of modified SMOtE including safe-level-SMOtE and border-line-SMOtE. In addition, we also applied the novel method to five imbalanced benchmark datasets from UCI Machine Learning Repository and achieved improvements in Sensitivity and G-mean. these results suggest that our method outperforms SMOtE and several successors of it in various biomedical classification problems including miRNA classification.

the dissertation provides a comprehensive assessment of the potential carbon emission reduction and financial support that wind energy plants could receive under the Clean Development Mechanism（CDM）in *** research commences with a thorough review of the current state of wind energy development in Vietnam,examining the existing regulatory and policy framework governing the ***,the study evaluates the overall adoption of the CDM in Vietnam,with a specific focus on its implementation within the wind energy sector,providing an overview of the progress made thus *** establish a foundation for analysis,the research utilizes the consolidated baseline methodology to determine the current emission factor 0.8641 t CO/MWh in *** result is considered as foundation to assess the abatement of CO reduction and revenue generated through trading carbon credits in Bac Lieu wind energy plant that is a representative case study conducted under the *** Bac Lieu wind energy plant case study serves as a notable example of successful emission reduction,profit generation from carbon credit sales,and positive internal rate of return（IRR）with CDM *** analysis of this case study from 2013 to 2022demonstrates a reduction of 1,388,339.7 tons of CO2 emissions and a profit of 1053 billion VND from trading carbon credits,which significantly contributes to the project's *** inclusion of income from the CDM ensures a positive IRR（0.59%）over a 10-year operation period,whereas the absence of carbon credit sales would have resulted in a negative *** findings demonstrate that integrating the CDM into wind energy projects not only facilitates the achievement of low-carbon emission targets but also offers substantial assistance that contribute to the financial viability of these *** Bac Lieu wind energy plant stands as a successful example of a wind power project developed under the CDM in Vietnam and could serve as a model for future wind

Predicting residue contacts for protein-protein interactions by integration of multiple information

Detailed knowledge of interfacial region between interacting proteins is not only helpful in annotating function for proteins, but also very important for structure-based drug design and disease treatment. However, this is one of the most difficult tasks and current methods are constrained by some factors. In this study, we developed a new method to predict residue-residue contacts of two interacting protein domains by integrating information about evolutionary couplings andamino acid pairwise contact potentials, as well as domain-domain interaction interfaces. the experimental results showed that our proposed method outperformed the previous method with the same datasets. Moreover, the method promises an improvement in the source of template-based protein docking.

Piaoac Granites Related W-Sn Mineralization, Northern Vietnam: Evidences from Geochemistry, Zircon Geochronology and Hf Isotopes

Piaoac granites exposed in the Cao Bang region, northern Vietnam, are S-type granite, which are associated with W-Sn-Mo-Be-F mineralization. Zircon U-Pb ages, major and trace elements, mineral chemical and Hf isotopic compositions of the W-Sn-bearing granites from the Piaoac District have been investigated in detail. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating of zircon grains from these granites yielded ages of 82.5±2.3 and 82±1.8 Ma, representing an episode of Late Cretaceous magmatic event. these granites are characterized by high peraluminous and have typical S-type geochemical signatures with high SiO_2(72.37 wt.%–73.07 wt.%), high A/CNK values(1.61–1.65) and Al_2O_3(14.4 wt.%–15 wt.%). they are enriched in Rb, U, K, th, ta and Pb and display pronounced negative Ba, Sr, Nb, ti and Eu(Eu/Eu*=0.19–0.24) anomalies. the high degree of fractional crystallization is characterized by low Rb, Sr, Ba and Eu concentrations with high ratios of La/Sm and Eu/Eu*. Zircon grains show εHf(t) values from-9.69 to-0.9 and the corresponding tDM2 range from 1.2 to 1.7 Ga, indicating that these granites could be derived from the Proterozoic basement rocks with minor input from mantle-derived magmas. the calculation of Fe^(3+) and Fe^(2+) of biotites indicates a low oxygen fugacity condition(log fO_2 ranging from 10-17 to 10-18 bars, below MH), which is favorable for the W-Sn mineralization. tungsten and tin have been enriched in granitic magmas through fractionation, and low oxygen fugacity conditions have promoted the accumulation and transportation of W-Sn in the hydrothermal fluids, leading to deposition of mineral phases. the geochemical data suggest that Piaoac granites formed in an extensional setting related with the Late Cretaceous magmatism occurring large-scale lithospheric extensional in South China Block.

D-IMPACt: A Data Preprocessing Algorithm to Improve the Performance of Clustering

In this study, we propose a data preprocessing algorithm called D-IMPACt inspired by the IMPACt clustering algorithm. D-IMPACt iteratively moves data points based on attraction and density to detect and remove noise and outliers, and separate clusters. Our experimental results on two-dimensional datasets and practical datasets show that this algorithm can produce new datasets such that the performance of the clustering algorithm is improved.

Use of Poly-Lactic Acid (PLA) to Enhance Properties of Paper Based on Recycled Pulp

Nowadays, recycled paper is broadly used due to environmental reasons. Furthermore, the addition of starch as a dry strength additive improves the properties of recycled paper. Poly-Lactic Acid (PLA), a product from bio-refinery process, has recently been shown to act as a promising strength additive that could be used in combination with starch to further improve the strength of paper. In this study, the use of PLA of three molecular weights (MW) in combination with four different starches was investigated. three recycled pulps from different origins, with the kappa number of 27.9 to 66 were used. Paper handsheets were made, and selected paper properties were tested. the results indicate that handsheets properties were influenced by the MW of PLAs, the type of starch used, and the lignin content of the pulp. the paper handsheets made from lignin-rich pulp (pulp A, kappa number 66), combined with 0.1% medium MW PLA (PLA_1) and 0.9% cationic starch containing 0.43% N gave the highest improvement for tensile strength, wet tensile strength, air and water resistance. this result verifies that a higher kappa number pulp has better attraction to the hydrophobic PLA. Moreover, the higher charge cationic starch led to higher tensile strength due to the increase of affinity to the anionic fiber surface. Interestingly, results show that amphoteric starch is a promising substitute for high cationic charge starch when combined with the medium MW PLA to improve tensile strength of paper. this study demonstrated that a starch-PLA blend represents a promising approach in improving properties of recycled paper.
