Modeling of human colonic blood flow for a novel artificial anal sphincter system

A novel artificial anal sphincter system has been developed to simulate the normal physiology of the human anorectum. With the goal of engineering a safe and reliable device, the model of human colonic blood flow has been built and the relationship between the colonic blood flow rate and the operating occlusion pressure of the anorectum is achieved. The tissue ischemia is analyzed based on constitutive relations for human anorectum. The results suggest that at the planned operating occlusion pressure of less than 4 kPa the artificial anal sphincter should not risk the vascularity of the human colon.

This paper derives an asymptotic average symbol error probability(SEP)expression for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)two-hop amplify-and-forward(AF)relay systems with optimal *** analysis at high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)quantifies the diversity order and array gain,which are valid for any antenna numbers of the terminals and arbitrary channel fading *** is also proved that the system performance is dominated by the relatively degraded one of the two-hop *** results based on the simple expressions provide valuable insights into the performance and practical design considerations of MIMO AF networks.

The processing order of sensors with different detection probabilities and in different clutter densities in a multi-sensor system is investigated in this paper. A sequential implementation of the integrated probability data association (IPdA) algorithm under random set framework is derived. Under the assumptions of different detection probabilities and different clutter densities of individual sensor in a multi-sensor system, we reach the conclusion that the sequential IPdA filter depends on the order analyzing the target existence probability of varying sensor orders. Moreover, we obtain the optimal order of sensors for the sequential IPdA filter in terms of maximizing the target existence probability. The conclusions are demonstrated by simulation results.

Confocal measurement system is recently widely used as important tools for measurement of three-dimensional microstructures and surface contours because of its good 3d chromatographic imaging *** superresolution pupil filter is often used for improving the resolution of confocal measurement system because of its easy structure, thereby satisfying the measurement requirement of ultra-precision microstructures for higher spatial *** the pupil filter improves the resolution by changing the amplitude and phase distribution of light beam,the position of pupil filter has an important effect on the *** this paper,the measurement model of confocal measurement system is established for different position of pupil filter,and based on these models;the resolution properties are analyzed by emulation to confirm the best position of pupil filter in the measurement *** the optimized phase-only filter is combined with a confocal measurement system to improve the lateral resolution and the test setup is *** order to verify the validation of the above theory,the standard step is measured using the established setup when the pupil filter is at different *** experiments and analyses indicate the system using a phase-only filter at different positions can achieve different resolutions. The confirmation of the best position of the pupil filter can provide effective theory approach for optical system design,and more effectively improve the measurement capability.

The multiple QoS constraints multicast routing is a complicated problem. In allusion to the application level multicast (ALM) routing problem with multiple QoS constraints, a distributed dynamic application level multicast routing algorithm was presented. In the algorithm, the network node only need maintain local state information of network links and nodes, and not require the global network state information. The algorithm adopts a dynamic and distributed method to solve the problem. Accordingly, it can satisfy the multiple QoS constraints and get the minimal cost tree. Simulation results show that it has less delay and minimal cost of the tree. It is fitter for network situations with the status changed frequently and multiple real-time multimedia applications.

In this paper, H ∞ state feedback control with delay information for discrete systems with multi-time-delay is discussed. Making use of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, a time-delay-dependent criterion for a discrete system with multi-time-delay to satisfy H ∞ performance indices is induced, and then a strategy for H ∞ state feedback control with delay values for plant with multi-time-delay is obtained. By solving corresponding LMI, a delay-dependent state feedback controller satisfying H ∞ performance indices is designed. Finally, a simulation example demonstrates the validity of the proposed approach. Keywords Multi-time-delay - discrete time system - LMI - delay-dependent - H ∞ control Bai-da Qu received B. The present paper attempts to identify the spatial patterns of soil nutrients at a waste disposal site in Haizhou opencast coal mine using geostatistical approach.108 soil samples were collected and analyzed for ph,organic matter(OM),NHN,available phosphorus(AP)and available potassium(AK).The results indicate that nutrients exhibited different spatial distribution and only NHN exhibited strong spatial dependence and a relatively large nugget *** high content of OM,NHN,AP and AK was seen in the northeastern part,whereas ph was higher in central north and southern parts of the waste disposal *** identification of the spatial variability and heterogeneity of soil properties and especially nutrients in waste disposal sites allows the assessment of soil quality and revegetation potential while it defines the possible need for amendments and the most feasible revegetation scheme.
