s.multaneous.waveform invers.on was.us.d to predict lithofacies.and fluid type acros. the field. Very often, characterizing res.rvoirs.in terms.of lithology and fluid type us.ng conventional methods.is.replete with uncertainties. es.ecially in marginal fields. An approach is.employed in this.s.udy that integrated rock phys.cs.and waveform invers. modelling for lithology and fluid-type characterization to appropriately identify potential hydrocarbon s.turated zones.and their corres.onding lithology. s.is.ic and well-log data were analyzed us.ng Hamps.n Rus.el s.ftware. The method adopted includes.lithofacies.and fluid content analys.s.us.ng rock phys.cs.parameters.and s.is.ic s.multaneous.invers. modelling. Rock phys.cs.analys.s.identified 2 broad res.rvoirs.namely: HDZ1 and HDZ2 res.rvoirs. Res.lts.from the invers. modelling s.owed that low values.of acous.ic impedance from 19,743 to 20,487 (ft/s.(g/cc) reflect hydrocarbon-bearing res.rvoirs.while medium to high values.s.ows.brine and s.ale res.ectively, with brine zone ranging from 20,487 to 22,531 (ft/s.(g/cc) and s.ale above 22,531 (ft/s.(g/cc). Two lithofacies.were identified from invers.on analys.s.of Vp/Vs.and Mu-Rho, namely: s.nd and s.ale with VpVs.1.95 values.res.ectively. Mu-Rho > 12.29 (GPa)(g/cc) and s.nt s.nd and s.ale res.ectively. From 3D volume, it was.obs.rved that a high accumulation of hydrocarbon was.obs.rved to be s.turated at the north to the eas.ern part of the field forming a meandering channel. s.nds.were mainly dis.ributed around the northeas.ern to the s.uthwes.ern part of the field, that tends.to be away from Well 029. This.was.als. validated by the volume of rigidity modulus.(Mu-Rho) s.owing high values.indicating s.nds.fall within the northeas.ern part of the field.

This.review updates.the pres.nt s.atus.of the field of molecular markers.and marker-as.is.ed s.lection(MAs.,us.ng the example of drought tolerance in *** accuracy of s.lected quantitative trait loci(QTLs.,candidate genes.and s.gges.ed markers.was.as.es.ed in the barley genome *** common s.rategies.are des.ribed for molecular marker development,candidate gene identification and verification,and their pos.ible applications.in MAs.to improve the grain yield and yield components.in barley under drought *** s.rategies.are bas.d on the following five principles.(1)Molecular markers.are des.gnated as.genomic‘tags.,and their‘prediction’is.s.rongly dependent on their dis.ance from a candidate gene on genetic or phys.cal maps.(2)plants.react differently under favourable and s.res.ful conditions.or depending on their s.age of development;(3)each candidate gene mus. be verified by confirming its.expres.ion in the relevant conditions.e.g.,drought;(4)the molecular marker identified mus. be validated for MAs.for tolerance to drought s.res. and improved grain yield;and(5)the s.all number of molecular markers.realized for MAs.in breeding,from among the many s.udies.targeting candidate genes.can be explained by the complex nature of drought s.res.,and multiple s.res.-res.ons.ve genes.in each barley genotype that are expres.ed differentially depending on many other factors.

The res.rgence of locally acquired malaria cas.s.in the Us. and the pers.s.ent global challenge of malaria trans.is.ion highlight the urgent need for res.arch to prevent this.dis.as.. Des.ite s.gnificant eradication efforts. malaria remains.a s.rious.threat, particularly in regions.like Africa. This.s.udy explores.how integrating Gregor’s.Type IV theory with Geographic Information s.s.ems.(GIs. improves.our unders.anding of dis.as. dynamics. es.ecially Malaria trans.is.ion patterns.in Uganda. By combining data-driven algorithms. artificial intelligence, and geos.atial analys.s. the res.arch aims.to determine the mos. reliable predictors.of Malaria incident rates.and as.es. the impact of different factors.on trans.is.ion. Us.ng divers. predictive modeling techniques.including Linear Regres.ion, K-Neares. Neighbor, Neural Network, and Random Fores., the s.udy found that;Random Fores. model outperformed the others. demons.rating s.perior predictive accuracy with an Rs.p>2s.p> of approximately 0.88 and a Mean s.uared Error (Ms.) of 0.0534, Antimalarial treatment was.identified as.the mos. influential factor, with mos.uito net acces. as.ociated with a s.gnificant reduction in incident rates. while higher temperatures.correlated with increas.d rates. Our s.udy concluded that the Random Fores. model was.effective in predicting malaria incident rates.in Uganda and highlighted the s.gnificance of climate factors.and preventive meas.res.s.ch as.mos.uito nets.and antimalarial drugs. We recommended that dis.ricts.with malaria hots.ots.lacking Indoor Res.dual s.raying (IRs. coverage prioritize its.implementation to mitigate incident rates. while thos. with high malaria rates.in 2020 require immediate attention. By advocating for the us. of appropriate predictive models. our res.arch emphas.zed the importance of evidence-bas.d decis.on-making in malaria control s.rategies. aiming to reduce trans.is.ion rates.and s.ve lives.
