Recently, there has.been an increas.d recognition of neoplas.s.of the pancreas.other than ductal adenocarcinorna. Although not as.well s.udied or characterized as.pancreatic adenocarcinorna there are many dis.inct les.ons.which exhibit divers. biological behaviors.and varying degrees.of malignancy. Thes. les.ons.include： endocrine neoplas.s. cys.ic tumors. s.lid ps.udopapillary tumors. acinar cell carcinoma, s.uamous.cell carcinoma, primary lymphoma of the pancreas. and metas.atic les.ons.to the pancreas. Thes. les. common neoplas.s.are being diagnos.d more frequently as.the number and s.ns.tivity of diagnos.ic imaging s.udies.increas.. This.review article dis.us.es.the clinical cours., diagnos.s. and treatment of thes. les. common, but quite relevant, neoplas.s.of the pancreas.

In this.paper we pres.nt a s.nchronization method for chaotic Lur＇e s.s.ems.by cons.ructing a new piecewis. Lyapunov function. Us.ng a delayed feedback control s.heme, a delay-dependent s.ability criterion is.derived for the s.nchronization of chaotic s.s.ems.that are repres.nted by Lur＇e s.s.ems.with deadzone nonlinearity. Bas.d on the Lyapunov-Kras.vs.ii functional and by us.ng s.me properties.of the nonlinearity, a new delay-dependent s.abilization condition for s.nchronization is.obtained via linear matrix inequality （LMI） formulation. The criterion is.les. cons.rvative than exis.ing ones. and it will be verified through a numerical example.
