The high proportion of nonlinear and unbalanced loads results in power quality issues in islanded *** paper presents a novel control strategy for harmonic and unbalanced power allocation among distributed genera-tors(DGs)in *** from the existing sharing strategies that allocate the harmonic and unbalanced power according to the rated capacities of DGs,the proposed control strategy intends to shape the lowest output impedances of DGs to optimize the power quality of the *** achieve this goal,the feasible range of virtual impedance is analyzed in detail by eigenvalue analysis,and the findings suggest a simultaneous adjustment of real and imaginary parts of virtual *** virtual impedance is an open-loop control that imposes DG to the risk of overload,a new closed-loop structure is designed that uses residual capacity and absorbed power as ***,virtual impedance can be safely adjusted in the feasible range until the power limit is *** addi-tion,a fuzzy integral controller is adopted to improve the dynamics and convergence of the power distribution,and its performance is found to be superior to linear integral ***,simulations and control hardware-in-the-loop experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed control strategy.

An integrated interpretation of processed 3D seismic data,a suite of well logs,biostratigraphic data and core photographs of AMO Field,deep offshore Niger Delta,is carried out for the sequence stratigraphic analysis of strata penetrated by *** and key stratigraphic surfaces,that is,the maximum flooding surfaces(MFSs)and sequence boundaries(SBs),are identified based on bioevents and log *** data help the delineation of MFSs and SBs,as well as dating,determination of depositional environment and *** sequence stratigraphic study reveals seven MFSs(of 13.0 Ma,11.0 Ma,9.5 Ma,7.4 Ma,5.8 Ma,5.0 Ma and 2.7 Ma)and six SBs(of 12.1 Ma,10.3 Ma,8.5 Ma,6.3 Ma,5.5 Ma and 4.2 Ma).The key stratigraphic surfaces identified involve three depositional sequences characterized by lowstand,transgressive and highstand system tracts *** studied section is deposited in a deepwater environment ranging from Lower to Upper Bathyal and can be dated back to the Middle Miocene-Middle Pliocene in *** faults and two horizons(corresponding to reservoir units)are identified and mapped across the seismic data volume to establish a continuity of the reservoir to areas lacking well *** established sequence stratigraphic framework displays successions of sediments(system tracts)where the reservoir sand units of the lowstand and highstand system tracts are of hydrocarbon prospective units in the field.

As most disease causing pathogens require transmission from an infectious individual to a susceptible individual,continued persistence of the pathogen within the population requires the replenishment of susceptibles through births,immigration,or waning *** the introduction of an unknown infectious disease into a fully susceptible population where it is not known how long immunity is conferred once an individual recovers from ***,initially,the prevalence of disease increases(that is,the infection takes off),the number of infectives will usually decrease to a low level after the first major *** this post-outbreak period,the disease dynamics may be influenced by stochastic effects and there is a non-zero probability that the epidemic will die *** out in this period following the first major outbreak is known as an epidemic *** the disease does not die out,the susceptible population may be replenished by the waning of immunity,and a second wave may *** this study,we investigate if the rate of waning immunity(and other epidemiological parameters)can be reliably estimated from multiple outbreak data,in which some outbreaks display epidemic fade-out and others do *** generated synthetic outbreak data from independent simulations of stochastic SIRS models in multiple *** outbreaks faded-out and some did *** conducted Bayesian parameter estimation under two alternative approaches:independently on each outbreak and under a hierarchical *** conducting independent estimation,the waning immunity rate was poorly estimated and biased towards zero when an epidemic fade-out was ***,under a hierarchical approach,we obtained more accurate and precise posterior estimates for the rate of waning immunity and other epidemiological *** greatest improvement in estimates was obtained for those communities in which epidemic fade-out was observed.

Existing hot sintering models based on molecular dynamics focus on single-crystal *** work proposes a new multiparticle model based on molecular dynamics to investigate coalescence kinetics during the hot-pressed sintering of a polycrystalline Al_(0.3)CoCrFeNi high-entropy *** accuracy and effectiveness of the multiparticle model are verified by a phase-field *** this model,it is found that when the particle contact zones undergo pressure-induced evolution into exponential power creep zones,the occurrences of phenomena,such as necking,pore formation/filling,dislocation accumulation/decomposition,and particle rotation/rearrangement are *** on tensile test results,Young’s modulus of the as-sintered Al_(0.3)CoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy is calculated to be 214.11±1.03 GPa,which deviates only 0.82%from the experimental value,thus further validating the feasibility and accuracy of the multiparticle model.

Widespread adoption of electric vehicles(EVs)is a common and critical component of international strategies to mitigate environmental pollution,climate change and oil *** ability of consumers to assess the total cost of ownership(TCO)of EVs relative to internal combustion engine vehicles(ICEVs)remains an important factor for EV *** TCO of vehicles is not universal across different car segments and user *** analyse and compare the TCO of ICEVs and EVs from 17 car segments across short-and long-term ownership periods,and further advance existing TCO approaches by integrating detailed activity-based driving profiles,taxation,grant structures and *** show that EV options in the most popular Irish car segments have existing battery EV options with a TCO averaging respectively 26% and 42% less than their equivalent petrol and diesel ICEV options over a 4-year ownership term when the current grant is *** integrated method for granular TCO evaluation offers important insights for this market and affords scope to investigate how changes in travel patterns,car-segment pricing,taxation,grant policy,fuel costs,and carbon pricing and other transport policies can all affect TCO values over time across a broad range of market offerings.

Malaysia Airlines flight 17 crashed on 17 July 2014 while flying over an area of armed conflict in eastern *** first forensic trace evidence was collected after the human remains were transferred to a safe location in the Netherlands for identification and *** victim identification processes were therefore undertaken in concert with the forensic *** to these processes,X-ray and computed tomography scanners were used to reveal foreign objects in the human remains,and a large number of these fragments were recovered after the forensic triage.A distinct group of metal fragments was identified as being potential remnants of high-energy foreign *** analysis revealed that they were explosively deformed unalloyed steel fragments,some of which had shapes consistent with pre-formed metal fragments found in a 9N314M warhead used in Buk SA-11 ***,thin film deposits of cockpit glass and aluminium were identified on the most heavily deformed side of some of the explosively deformed metal fragments,suggesting they came from outside the *** findings supported early suspicions that Malaysia Airlines flight 17 was struck by a Buk SA-11 missile.
