表面粗糙度是医疗器械构件最重要的质量特征之一,然而现有的激光抛光、化学抛光等单一表面抛光技术存在一定局限性。针对医用TC4钛合金表面的精密抛光需求,设计并搭建一套激光-化学复合抛光系统,通过激光-化学复合加工材料去除机理分析和开展TC4钛合金的激光-化学复合抛光试验,深入探究复合抛光过程中不同抛光阶段材料表面形貌的演变过程及粗糙度变化并进行分析,进而明确激光-化学复合抛光机理。研究结果表明,激光-化学复合抛光材料去除是基于激光热-力效应与激光诱导化学腐蚀溶解共同作用的结果,而且两者具有一定协同效应,在适当的工艺窗口内,化学腐蚀溶解可以完全去除激光烧蚀产生的残渣和重熔物。激光辐照会在工件表面“峰-谷”区域产生温度差,进而导致化学溶解速率差异,即“山峰”区域溶解速率快,“山谷”区域溶解速率慢,从而实现表面粗糙度的降低。最后采用合适的工艺参数,优化了抛光效果,实现了医用TC4钛合金的选择性精密抛光,激光辐照区域表面粗糙度Ra由初始的5.230μm下降至0.225μm,Sa由初始的8.630μm下降至0.571μm,分别下降95.7%和93.4%。研究结果可为钛合金或其他自钝化金属的精密抛光提供参考。

Does a shift in shade tolerance as suggested by seedling morphology explain differences in regeneration success of northern red oak in native and introduced ranges?

Across North America, forests dominated by Quercus rubra L. (northern red oak), a moderately shade-tolerant tree species, are undergoing successional replacement by shade-tolerant competitors. Under closed canopies, Q. rubra seedlings are unable to compete with these shade-tolerant species and do not recruit to upper forest strata. In Europe, natural regeneration of introduced Q. rubra is often successful despite the absence of fire, which promotes regeneration in the native range. Considering that understorey light availability is a major factor affecting recruitment of seedlings, we hypothesized that Q. rubra seedlings are more shade tolerant in the introduced range than in the native range. Morphological traits and biomass allocation patterns of seedlings indicative of shade tolerance were compared for Q. rubra and three co-occurring native species in two closed-canopy forests in the native range (Ontario, Canada) and introduced range (Baden-Württemburg, Germany). In the native range, Q. rubra allocated a greater proportion of biomass to roots, while in the introduced range, growth and allocation patterns favored the development of leaves. Q. rubra seedlings had greater annual increases in height, diameter and biomass in the introduced range. Q. rubra seedlings in the introduced range were also younger;however, they had a mean area per leaf and a total leaf area per seedling that were five times greater than seedlings in the native range. Such differences in morphological traits and allocation patterns support the hypothesis that Q. rubra expresses greater shade tolerance in the introduced range, and that natural regeneration of Q. rubra is not as limited by shade as in the native range. The ability of Q. rubra seedlings to grow faster under closed canopies in Europe may explain the discrepancy in regeneration success of this species in native and introduced ranges. Photodetectors operating at the wavelength in the visible spectrum are key components in high-performance optoelectronic *** this work,massive nonlinearities in amorphous silicon p-i-n photodiodes enabled by the photogating are presented,resulting in responsivities up to 744 mA/W at blue *** detectors exhibit significant responsivity gains at optical modulation frequencies exceeding MHz and a more than 60-fold enhanced spectral response compared to the non-gated *** detection limits down to 10.4 nW/mm^(2) and mean signal-to-noise ratio enhancements of 8.5dB are demonstrated by illuminating the sensor with an additional 6.6μW/mm^(2) red ***-optical simulations verify photocarrier modulation due to defect-induced field screening to be the origin of such high responsivity *** experimental results validate the theory and enable the development of commercially viable and complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS)compatible high responsivity photodetectors operating in the visible range for low-light level imaging and detection.
