Due to the non-linearity in ozone(O_(3))formation,reducing the emission of nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))may increase O_(3) *** the counteractive O_(3) response to NO_(x) reduction,overall impact of air pollution controls can be ambiguous when the assessments focus on the changes in pollutant *** this study,a risk-based method was used to gauge the net effect of air pollution controls on mortality risk in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei(BTH)region during the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics(WOP).This mega-event presents a unique opportunity to investigate the efficacy of deep cuts in pollutant *** show that O_(3) concentrations greatly increased as nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2))concentrations decreased in the *** to the active photochemical formations,O_(3) became the dominant pollutant that affected human health during the *** the substantial O_(3) increases,the health benefits of NO_(2) reductions overwhelmed the adverse health effects of O_(3) increases in most regions of the BTH(at 81 out of 112 stations).After considering the impacts of particulate matter,the integrated health risk of air pollution mixtures declined almost everywhere in the *** results underscore the great necessity of changing the assessment paradigm of pollution control from using concentration-based methods to using risk-based *** with the carbon neutrality policy,stringent control of NO_(x)emission from combustion sources is a promising way to achieve synergistic control solutions for air pollution and climate change.

Online tracking mechanisms employed by internet companies for user profiling and targeted advertising raise major privacy concerns. Despite efforts to defend against these mechanisms, they continue to evolve, rendering many existing defences ineffective. This study performs a large-scale measurement of online tracking mechanisms across a large pool of websites using the OpenWPM (Open Web Privacy Measurement) platform. It systematically evaluates the effectiveness of several ad blockers and underlying Privacy Enhancing Technologies (pet) that are primarily used to mitigate different tracking techniques. By quantifying the strengths and limitations of these tools against modern tracking methods, the findings highlight gaps in existing privacy protections. Actionable recommendations are provided to enhance user privacy defences, guide tool developers and inform policymakers on addressing invasive online tracking practices.

Hong kong is a densely populated city with heavy traffic volume.A large number of volatile organic compounds（VOCs）,which are the precursors of tropospheric ozone and secondary organic aerosols（SOAs）,are emitted from traffic-related *** attention has been paid on the characteristics of roadside VOCs and their impacts on the local air quality of Hong kong during the past *** this study,proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry（PTr-MS）,an advanced technique with high-temporal resolution and low detection limit,is firstly applied to the simultaneous real-time monitoring of oxygenated volatile organic compound（OVOCs） and VOCs at a roadside station in Hong *** performances of PTr-MS were examined under different relative humidity and temperature of inlet air with hydronium ion（H3 O+） as the primary ion *** sensitivity of 17 species of atmospheric significance was of insignificant humidity dependence,except for formaldehyde（m/z = 31）.The detection sensitivity of formaldehyde decreased with the increase of humidity due to the back reaction of protonated HCHO with water vapor prior to analysis,and a reverse function was found with a best-fitting *** correlation between calibrated reaction rate,inlet relative humidity and temperature was found which matched well by poly-2 D *** is the most variable specie when the inlet relative humidity and temperature are *** accuracy and precision of the measurements were less than 15%.Inter-comparison were also performed between the measurement from PTr-MS,off-line DNPH cartridge samples and on-line GC-FID ***,acetaldehyde,acetone,MEk,benzene,toluene,C8-aromatics showed good correlation between PTr-MS and alternative sampling *** results suggested that PTr-MS can be applied on the long term measurements of roadside VOCs and OVOCs with good stability and reliability in Hong kong.

The russian Far East is a region between China and the russian Arctic with a diverse climatological,geophysical,oceanic,and economical *** southern region is located in the Far East monsoon sector,while the northern parts are affected by the Arctic Ocean and cold air masses penetrating far to the *** economic activities and traffic connected to the China Belt and road Initiative together with climate change are placing an increased pressure upon the russian Far East *** is an urgent need to improve the capacity to measure the atmospheric and environmental pollution and analyze their sources and to quantify the relative roles of local and transported pollution emissions in the *** the paper,we characterize the current environmental and socio-economical landscape of the russian Far East and summarize the future climate scenarios and identify the key regional research *** discuss the research infrastructure concept,which is needed to answer the identified research *** integrated observations,filling in the critical observational gap at the Northern Eurasian context,are required to provide state-of-the-art observations and enable follow-up procedures that support local,regional,and global decision making in the environmental context.

A simple,fast and sensitive LC-MS/MS method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of the concentrations of temsirolimus and its major metabolite, sirolimus,in human whole *** blood sample(100μL)after adding temsirolimus-d7 and sirolimus-d3 internal standards was precipitated with 0.200 mL of methanol/0.300 M zinc sulfate (70/30,v/v)and then analyzed by a Shimatzu LC system coupled to a Sciex API-5000mass *** chromatographic separation was carried out on a BDS Hypersil C8 column(50 x 3.0 mm,5μrn)at 50℃with a mobile phase composed of methanol/water/formic acid(72/28/0.1) (v/v/v)containing 2.50 mM ammonium *** spectrometric detection was performed using electrospray positive ionization with multiple reactionsmonitoring *** method was validated from 0.250 ngmLto 100 ngmLfor temsirolimus and 0.100 ngmLto 40.0 ngmL for *** lower limits of quantitation were 0.25ngmLfor temsirolimus and 0.1 ngmL for *** precisions(CV%)of intra-day and inter-day for spiked quality control(QC) samples were less than 10.4%and 9.56%,*** accuracies as determined by the relative error for QC samples were less than 12.1%for intra-dayand 7.33%for *** significant matrix effect was *** method has been successfully applied to analyze the clinical pharmacokinetic study *** assay reproducibility was also demonstrated by using incurred samples.

Background The utility of routine extensive molecular profiling of pediatric tumors is a matter of debate due to the high number of genetic alterations of unknown significance or low evidence and the lack of standardized and personalized decision support *** drug assignment(DDA)is a novel computational method to prioritize treatment options by aggregating numerous evidence-based associations between multiple drivers,targets,and targeted *** has been validated to improve personalized treatment decisions based on the outcome data of adult patients treated in the SHIVA01 clinical *** aim of this study was to evaluate the utility of DDA in pediatric *** Between 2017 and 2020,103 high-risk pediatric cancer patients(rs)were involved in our precision oncology program,and samples from 100 patients were eligible for further *** or blood samples were analyzed by whole-exome(WES)or targeted panel sequencing and other molecular diagnostic modalities and processed by a software system using the DDA algorithm for therapeutic decision ***,a molecular tumor board(MTB)evaluated the results to provide therapy *** Of the 100 cases with comprehensive molecular diagnostic data,88 yielded WES and 12 panel sequencing *** identified matching off-label targeted treatment options(actionability)in 72/100 cases(72%),while 57/100(57%)showed potential drug *** reached 88%(29/33)by 2020 due to the continuous updates of the evidence *** approved the clinical use of a DDA-top-listed treatment in 56 of 72 actionable cases(78%).The approved therapies had significantly higher aggregated evidence levels(AELs)than dismissed *** of WES results for targeted panels missed important mutations affecting therapy *** DDA is a promising approach to overcome challenges associated with the interpretation of extensive molecular profiling in the routine car

In this paper, we apply the k-theory to classify topological trivial fermionic phases which, nonetheless,host symmetry-protected non-trivial defects. An important implication of our work is that the existence of Majorana zero mode in the vortex core is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for the superconductor in question being topologically non-trivial.
