Effect of minocycline and its nano-formulation on central auditory system in blast-induced hearing loss rat model

Uncontrolled hemorrhage resulting from traumas causes severe health *** is an urgent need for expeditious hemostatic materials to treat bleeding ***,we developed a natural protein-based hemostatic sponge extracted from nonmulberry cocoons that exhibited rapid coagulation and effective *** first built a degumming and dissolution system suitable for the Dictyoploca japonica cocoons to obtain regenerated silk fibroin(DSF).The DSF was then combined with carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS)by glutaraldehyde(GA)crosslinking to ensure the structural stability of *** resulting DSF–CMCS–GA exhibited remarkable hemostatic properties,displaying the highest absorption *** also demonstrated comparable efficacy to commercial hemostatic *** blood-clotting index and hemolysis test showed that the prepared sponge possessed hemostatic activity and good *** with mulberry silk fibroin hemostatic sponges(SF–CMCS–GA),DSF–CMCS–GA showed slightly better effects,making them a potential alternative to mulberry *** conclusion,our study introduces the use of Dictyoploca japonica silk fibroin for hemostasis,highlighting the exploitation of wild silkworm resources and providing an excellent silk fibroin-based hemostatic sealant for acute accident wounds and biomedical applications involving massive hemorrhage.

Impact of geographical and seasonal temperature on sperm parameters in Indian men who were partners in subfertile couples-A retrospective analysis

Objective:To evaluate the impact of seasonal and geographical temperature on sperm parameters in Indian men who were partners in subfertile ***:A retrospective review of the records of semen analysis from January 2009 to December 2017 that was performed as part of primary evaluation of infertile couple was *** values of various semen parameters were compared between seasons using one-way analysis of variance test followed by Bonferroni pair wise post-hoc comparison *** Pearson correlation coefficient was applied to measure the correlation between age,sperm parameters and annual temperature/*** logistic regression analysis was further carried out to identify significant variables contributing to normal progressive motility of ***:A total of 3433 reports of semen samples were *** was no significant seasonal variation in the mean volume,concentration,and total motility levels(P>0.05)except the mean values of progressive motility(P<0.001).The mean values of progressive motility during pre-monsoon were significantly higher compared to the corresponding values during monsoon and autumn seasons(P<0.01).In all the seasons,total motility had significant positive correlation with sperm concentration and progressive motility(P<0.05).Pre-monsoon emerged as the significant favourable season to get normal progressive motility level(OR 1.32,95%CI 1.04-1.68)compared to *** chances of getting normal progressive motility reduced due to longer abstinence period(OR 0.87,95%CI 0.80-0.93).When the temperature was more than 28℃,the likelihood of getting normal progressive motility decreased(OR 0.70,95%CI 0.51-0.95).Conclusions:The progressive motility of sperms significantly decreases from pre-monsoon to autumn with recovery towards winter,which substantiates the effect of rising temperature on the progressive motility of *** is clinically important to counsel infertile patients,so that they can plan their treat

BLEND MEMBRANES FOR DIRECT METHANOL AND PROTON EXCHANGE MEMBRANE FUEL CELLS

Sulphonated polystyrene ethylene butylene polystyrene （SPSEBS） prepared with 35% sulphonation was found to be highly elastic and enlarged up to 300%-400% of its initial length. It absorbed over 110% of water by weight. A major drawback of this membrane is its poor mechanical properties which are not adequate for use as polymer electrolytes in fuel cells. To overcome this, SPSEBS was blended with poly（vinylidene fluoride）（PVDF）, a hydrophobic polymer. The blend membranes showed better mechanical properties than the base polymer. The effect of PVDF content on water uptake, ion exchange capacity and proton conductivity of the blend membranes was investigated. This paper presents the results of recent studies applied to develop an optimized in-house membrane electrode assembly （MEA） preparation technique combining catalyst ink spraying and assembly hot pressing. Easy steps were chosen in this preparation technique in order to simplify the method, aiming at cost reduction. The open circuit voltage for the cell with SPSEBS is 0.980 V which is higher compared to that of the cell with Nation 117 （0.790 V）. From this study, it is concluded that a polymer electrolyte membrane suitable for proton exchange membrane fuel cell （PEMFC） and direct methanol fuel cell （DMFC） application can be obtained by blending SPSEBS and PVDF in appropriate proportions. The methanol permeability and selectivity showed a strong influence on DMFC performance.

Role of phenolics as antioxidants,biomolecule protectors and as anti-diabetic factors-Evaluation on bark and empty pods of Acacia auriculiformis

EECDH to prevent MITM attack in cloud computing

Cloud computing has reached the peak of Gartner hype cycle,and now the focus of the whole telecom industry is the ability to scale data storage with minimal *** data privacy and communication issues will occur with the increment of the cloud data *** key privacy concern for scalability is caused by the dynamic membership allocation and multi-owner data *** paper addresses the issues faced by multiple owners through a mutual authentication mechanism using the Enhanced Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman(EECDH)key exchange protocol along with the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm(ECDSA).The proposed EECDH scheme is used to exchange the secured shared key among multiple owners and also to eliminate the Man-In-The-Middle(MITM)attacks with less computational *** leveraging these algorithms,the integrity of data sharing among multiple owners is *** EECDH improves the level of security only slightly increasing the time taken to encrypt and decrypt the data,and it is secured against the MITM attacks,which is experimented using the AVISPA tool.
