The Scheil-Gulliver equation is essential for assessing solid fractions during alloy solidification in materials *** the prevalent use of the Calculation of Phase Diagrams(CALPHAD)method,its computational intensity and time are limiting the simulation ***,Artificial Intelligence has emerged as a potent tool in materials science,offering robust and reliable predictive modeling *** study introduces an ensemble-based method that has the potential to enhance the prediction of the partitioning coefficient(k)in the Scheil equation by inputting various alloy *** findings demonstrate that this approach can predict the temperature and solid fraction at the eutectic temperature with an accuracy exceeding 90%,while the accuracy for k prediction surpasses 70%.Additionally,a case study on a commercial alloy revealed that the model's predictions are within a 5℃deviation from experimental results,and the predicted solid fraction at the eutectic temperature is within a 15%difference of the values obtained from the CALPHAD model.

BACKGROUND Advanced chronic kidney disease(CKD) is a common complication for people with type 1 and 2 diabetes and can often lead to glucose instability. Continuous glucose monitoring(CGM) helps users monitor and stabilize their glucose levels. To date, CGM and intermittent scanning CGM are only approved for people with diabetes but not for those with advanced *** To compare the performance of Dexcom G5 and FreeStyle Libre sensors in adults with type 1 or 2 diabetes and advanced *** This was a non-randomized clinical trial that took place in two outpatient clinics in western Sweden. All patients with type 1 or 2 diabetes and an estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) of per 1.73 m^(2) were invited to participate. Forty patients(full analysis set = 33) carried the Dexcom G5 sensor for 7 d and FreeStyle Libre sensor for 14 d simultaneously. For referencing capillary blood glucose(SMBG) was measured with a high accuracy glucose meter(HemoCue®) during the study period. At the end of the study, all patients were asked to answer a questionnaire on their experience using the *** The mean age was 64.1(range 41-77) years, hemoglobin A1 c was 7.0% [standard deviation(SD) 3.2], and diabetes duration was 28.5(SD 14.7) years. A total of 27.5% of the study population was on hemodialysis and 22.5% on peritoneal dialysis. The mean absolute relative difference for Dexcom G5 vs SMBG was significantly lower than that for FreeStyle Libre vs SMBG [15.2%(SD 12.2) vs 20.9%(SD 8.6)], with a mean difference of 5.72 [95% confidence interval(CI): 2.11-9.32;P = 0.0036]. The mean absolute difference was also significantly lower for Dexcom G5 than for FreeStyle Libre, 1.21 mmol/L(SD 0.78) and 1.76 mmol/L(SD 0.78), with a mean diffrenec of 0.55(95%CI: 0.27-0.83;P = 0.0004).The mean difference(MD) was-0.107 mmol/L and-1.10 mmol/L(P = 0.0002), respectively. 对生态系统的碳通量和周转进行评估是理解气候变化、预测生物圈中微量元素累积量的关键所在。本文主要采用模型方法对北方5个生态系统的碳通量和周转时间进行了估计。本文在确定模型的参数时,应用了多种被接受的准则,以便采用同一标准结合大量、多源的经验数据。研究结果发现,尽管不同生态系统的碳库储量和通量差异较大,但大部分碳的平均周转期非常相近,仅有少量例外。由于生态系统中碳流转的路径不同,其周转期也差别较大,从不到1年到100多年不等,这对研究微量元素的运输和持留可能很重要。参数化方案能帮助确定待研究生态系统的未知参数,鉴别碳周转期的差异性。

Sequential carbohydrate synthesis is important for plant survival because it guarantees energy supplies for growth and development during plant ontogeny and reproduction. Starch and fructan are two important carbohydrates in many flowering plants and in human diets. Understanding this coordinated starch and fructan synthesis and unraveling how plants allocate photosynthates and prioritize different carbohydrate synthesis for survival could lead to improvements to cereals in agriculture for the purposes of greater food security and production quality. Here, we report a system from a single gene in barley employing two alternative promoters, one intronic/exonic, to generate two sequence-overlapping but functionally opposing transcription factors, in sensing sucrose, potentially via sucrose/gluco lose 6-phosphate signaling. The system employs an autoregulatory mechanism in perceiving a sucrose- controlled trans activity on one promoter and orchestrating the coordinated starch and fructan synthesis by competitive transcription factor binding on the other promoter. As a case in point for the physiological roles of the system, we have demonstrated that this multitasking system can be exploited in breeding barley with tailored amounts of fructan to produce healthy food ingredients. The identification of an intron/exon-spanning promoter in a hosting gene, resulting in proteins with distinct functions, adds to the complexity of plant genomes.
