Solution-phase synthesis of ordered mesoporous carbon as resonant-gravimetric sensing material for room-temperature H2S detection

H2S can cause multiple diseases and poses a great threat to human ***,the precise detection of extremely toxic H2S at room temperature is still a great ***,a facile solvent evaporation induced aggregating assembly(EIAA)method has been applied for the production of ordered mesoporous carbon(OMCs)in an acidic THF/H2 O solution with high-molecular-weight poly(ethylene oxide)-b-polystyrene(PEO-b-PS)copolymers as the structure-directing agent,formaldehyde and resorcinol as carbon *** with the continuous evaporation of THF from the mixed solution,cylindrical micelles are formed in the solution and further assemble into highly ordered *** obtained OMCs possesses a two-dimensional(2 D)hexagonal mesostructure with uniform and large pore diameter(~19.2 nm),high surface area(599 m2/g),and large pore volume(0.92 cm3/g).When being used as the resonant cantilever gas sensor for room-temperature H2S detection,the OMCs has delivered not only a superior gas sensing performance with ultrafast re s ponse(14 s)and recovery(21 s)even at low concentration(2 ppm)but also an excellent selectivity toward H2S among various common interfering ***,the limit of detection is better than 0.2 ppm,indicating its potential application in environmental monitoring and health protection.

Cutaneous exposure to food allergens through a disrupted skin barrier is recognized as an important cause of food allergy,and the cutaneous sensitized mouse model has been established to investigate relevant allergic ***,the role of different genetic backgrounds of mice on immune responses to food allergens upon epicutaneous sensitization is largely *** this study,two strains of mice,i.e.,the BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice,were epicutaneously sensitized with ovalbumin on atopic dermatitis(AD)-like skin lesions,followed by intragastric challenge to induce IgE-mediated food *** outcomes were measured as clinical signs,specific antibodies and cytokines,and immune cell subpopulations,as well as changes in intestinal barrier function and gut *** showed that both strains of mice exhibited typical food-allergic symptoms with a Th2-skewed *** C57BL/6 mice,rather than the BALB/c mice,were fitter for establishing an epicutaneously sensitized model of food allergy since a stronger Th2-biased response and severer disruptions in the intestinal barrier and gut homeostasis were *** study provides knowledge for selecting an appropriate mouse model to study food-allergic responses associated with AD-like skin lesions and highlights the role of genetic variations in the immune mechanism underlying pathogenesis of food allergy.

Tandem catalysis,capable of decoupling individual steps,provides a feasible way to build a high-efficiency CO_(2) electro-conversion system for multicarbons(C_(2+)).The construction of electrocatalytic materials is one of focusing ***,we fabricated a single atom involved multivalent oxide-derived Cu composite material and found it inclined to reconstruct into oxygen-deficient multiphase Cu based species hybridized with monatomic Ni on N doped C *** this prototype,rapid CO generation and C-C coupling are successively achieved on NiN4 sites and surface amorphized Cu species with defects,resembling a micro-production *** this way,the in situ formed tandem catalyst exhibited a high Faradaic efficiency(FE)of~78%for C_(2+)products along with satisfactory durability over 50 ***,the reconstruction-induced amorphous layer with abundant asymmetric sites should be favorable to improve the ethanol selectivity(FE:63%),which is about 10 times higher than that of the non-tandem Cu-based contrast *** work offers a new approach for manipulating tandem catalyst systems towards enhancing C_(2+)products.

A Phase Shift Demodulation Technique： Verification and Application in Fluorescence Phase Based Oxygen Sensors

A phase shift demodulation technique based on subtraction capable of measuring 0.03 phase degree limit between sinusoidal signals is presented in this paper. A self-gain module and a practical subtracter act the kernel parts of the phase shift demodulation system. Electric signals in different phases are used to verify the performance of the system. In addition, a new designed optical source, laser fiber differential source （LFDS）, capable of generating mini phase is used to further verify the system reliability. R-square of 0.99997 in electric signals and R-square of 0.99877 in LFDS are achieved, and 0.03 degree measurement limit is realized in experiments. Furthermore, the phase shift demodulation system is applied to the fluorescence phase based oxygen sensors to realize the fundamental function. The experimental results reveal that a good repetition and better than 0.02% oxygen concentration measurement accuracy are realized. In addition, the phase shift demodulation system can be easily integrated to other applications.

Ordered mesoporous nanofibers mimicking vascular bundles for lithium metal batteries

Hierarchical self-assembly with long-range order above centimeters widely exists in nature. Mimicking similar structures to promote reaction kinetics of electrochemical energy devices is of immense interest, yet remains challenging. Here, we report a bottom-up self-assembly approach to constructing ordered mesoporous nanofibers with a structure resembling vascular bundles via electrospinning. The synthesis involves self-assembling polystyrene（PS） homopolymer, amphiphilic diblock copolymer, and precursors into supramolecular micelles. Elongational dynamics of viscoelastic micelle solution together with fast solvent evaporation during electrospinning cause simultaneous close packing and uniaxial stretching of micelles, consequently producing polymer nanofibers consisting of oriented micelles. The method is versatile for the fabrication of large-scale ordered mesoporous nanofibers with adjustable pore diameter and various compositions such as carbon, SiO2, TiO2and WO3. The aligned longitudinal mesopores connected side-by-side by tiny pores offer highly exposed active sites and expedite electron/ion transport. The assembled electrodes deliver outstanding performance for lithium metal batteries.

The self-triggered event-based control of uncertain nonholonomic systems in the chained form is studied for the first time in this paper. In order to tackle the effects of drift uncertain nonlinearities, nonholonomic constraints and nonsmooth aperiodic sampling in event-based control, a novel systematic design scheme is proposed by integrating set-valued maps with state-separation and state-scaling techniques. The stability analysis of the closed-loop self-triggered control system is based on the cyclic-small-gain theorem that overcomes the limitation of Lyapunov theory in the construction of Lyapunov functions for nonsmooth dynamical systems. More specifically, the closed-loop self-triggered control system is transformed into an interconnection of multiple input-to-state stable systems, to which the cyclic-small-gain theorem is applied for robust stability analysis. Interestingly, the proposed design approach is also applicable to a broader class of nonholonomic systems subject to state and input-dependent uncertainties, and the result is still new even if the plant is reduced to the ideal unperturbed chained form. The main result is validated by a benchmark example of mobile robots subject to parametric uncertainties and a measurement noise such as bias in orientation.

Anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)-T cell therapy has achieved 40%–50%long-term complete response in relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)***,the underlying mechanism of alterations in the tumor microenvironments resulting in CAR-T cell therapy failure needs further investigation.A multi-center phase I/II trial of anti-CD19 CD28z CAR-T(FKC876,ChiCTR1800019661)was *** 22 evaluable DLBCL patients,seven achieved complete remission,10 experienced partial remissions,while four had stable disease by day ***-cell RNA sequencing results were obtained from core needle biopsy tumor samples collected from long-term complete remission and early-progressed patients,and compared at different stages of treatment.M2-subtype macrophages were significantly involved in both in vivo and in vitro anti-tumor functions of CAR-T cells,leading to CAR-T cell therapy failure and disease progression in *** tumor microenvironments persisted before CAR-T cell therapy,during both cell expansion and disease progression,which could not be altered by infiltrating CAR-T *** metabolism profile of M2-subtype macrophages and those of dysfunctional T cells also contributed to the immunosuppressive tumor ***,our findings provided a clinical rationale for targeting tumor microenvironments and reprogramming immune cell metabolism as effective therapeutic strategies to prevent lymphoma relapse in future designs of CAR-T cell therapy.
