With global warming, high-temperature(HT) stress has become a major abiotic stress for crops, in particular summer maize in China. Photosynthesis is sensitive to HT. Salicylic acid(SA) and 6-benzyladenine(6-BA) can improve the adaptation of plants to various biotic and abiotic stresses. However, their contribution to maintaining photosynthetic activity and alleviating photoinhibition in maize leaves under HT stress is still unclear. The effects of exogenous SA or 6-BA on growth, photosynthesis capacity, photosystem Ⅱ(PSII) activity, subcellular ultrastructure, antioxidant system, and plant hormones in maize leaves under HT stress were investigated. Under HT conditions, application of SA or 6-BA up-regulated gibberellin and zeatin content in leaves, increasing leaf area index(LAI). It also expanded the stomata by reducing abscisic acid and jasmonic acid content in leaves, cooling them and increasing CO2supply to photosynthesis. A higher net photosynthetic rate, combined with increased activity of the antioxidant system, alleviated oxidative stress in maize plants sprayed with SA or 6-BA, allowing them to maintain their chloroplast ultrastructure and PSII activity, in particular electron transfer from QAto QB. The increased LAI and net photosynthetic rate per unit leaf area also resulted in the accumulation of more biomass.

It was reported for the first time that phosphorictungstenic acid （PWA） could promote the oxygen reduction reaction （ORR） and inhibit the methanol oxidation reaction at the cathodic Pt/C catalyst in the direct methanol fuel cell （DMFC）. When the weight ratio of PWA to Pt/C is 1, the composite catalyst increases the reduction current of oxygen by about 38% and decreases the oxidation current of methanol by about 76% compared with that of the Pt/C catalyst.

As a new feed additive,chitosan has been shown in recent years to have a certain role in reducing methane emissions from the gastrointestinal tracts of ***,the effects of chitosan with different molecular weights on rumen ferme ntation,methane production and bacterial comm unity structure are not yet clear.A basal diet without chitosa n served as the control(CTL),and the treatment diets were supplemented with chitosan with different molecular weights:1000(1K),3000(3K),5000(5K),50000(5W)and 200000(20W)dry matter(DM).Six fermentation units per treatment were *** chromatography was used to measure the co nee ntrations of metha ne,H2 and volatile fatty acids(VFAs).The bacterial 16S rRNA genes were sequeneed with an Illumina MiSeq platform and analysed to reveal the relative abunda nces of bacterial community *** results showed that the propi onate proporti on was sign ifica ntly in creased by the addition of chitosan with different molecular weights(P<0.05),while methane production and the acetate proportion were significantly decreased(P<0.05).The relative mbundances of Rikenellaceae_RC9_gut_group and Prevotellaceae_UCG_003 were significa ntly in creased in the 3K chitosa n group compared with the CTL group,whereas the relative abunda nee of Ruminococcaceae_NK4A214_group was significantly decreased(P<0.05).Correlation analyses of the relative abundances of the bacterial genera showed that Prevotella was positively related to propionmte production(Pv0.05).In conclusion,3K chitosan could reduce methane production by replacing fibrolytic bacteria(Firmicutes and Fibrobacteres)with amylolytic bacteria(Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria)in the bacterial community structure.

The Influence of Meridional Variation in North Pacific Sea Surface Temperature Anomalies on the Arctic Stratospheric Polar Vortex

This study examines the dependence of Arctic stratospheric polar vortex(SPV)variations on the meridional positions of the sea surface temperature(SST)anomalies associated with the first leading mode of North Pacific *** principal component 1(PC1)of the first leading mode is obtained by empirical orthogonal function *** data,numerical experiments,and CMIP5 model outputs all suggest that the PC1 events(positive-minus-negative PC1 events),located relatively northward(i.e.,North PC1 events),more easily weaken the Arctic SPV compared to the PC1 events located relatively southward(i.e.,South PC1 events).The analysis indicates that the North PC1-related Aleutian low anomaly is located over the northern North Pacific and thus enhances the climatological trough,which strengthens the planetary-scale wave 1 at mid-to-high latitudes and thereby weakens the *** weakened stratospheric circulation further extends into the troposphere and favors negative surface temperature anomalies over *** contrast,the South PC1-related Aleutian low anomaly is located relatively southward,and its constructive interference with the climatological trough is less efficient at high ***,the South PC1 events could not induce an evident enhancement of the planetary-scale waves at high latitudes and thereby a weakening of the SPV on *** Eurasian cooling associated with South PC1 events(positive-minus-negative PC1 events)is also not *** results of this study suggest that the meridional positions of the PC1 events may be useful for predicting the Arctic SPV and Eurasian surface temperature variations.

Social manufacturing(SM), a novel distributed,collaborative and intelligent manufacturing mode, is proposed and developed for high-end apparel customization. The main components of SM cloud are designed, and its research topics are summarized. Then, SM's key technologies are studied. 3D technologies for apparel customization, like 3D modeling, 3D fitting mirror and 3D customization, are developed to improve the customization precision and user experience. Information based collaborative management is realized to share, communicate,and handle the information efficiently among all groups and individuals of SM cloud. Suppliers' evaluation mechanism is designed to support the optimal decisions making. Next, SM cloud is constructed in five layers for high-end apparel *** using SM cloud based crowd-sourcing, social resources can be allocated rationally and utilized efficiently, consumer can customize the product in any processes like innovation, design,making, marketing and service, and traditional apparel enterprise can be upgraded into SM mode for keeping it competitive in the future customization markets.

Research of cavitation characteristics of RCP based on section-constrained blades

To make sure that the bubbles will not block the impeller passage in the process of the transient cavitation, a section-constrained design is adopted in the hydraulic design of the CAP 1400 Reactor Coolant Pump,s(RCP,s) impeller blade, and the cavitation bubble distribution on the suction side of the blade in the CAP 1400 RCP under the transient cavitation condition and the internal pressure pulsation are studied. To study the performance of the section-constrained impeller blade, simulations are carried out by using the CFX software, the cavitation bubble distribution on the suction side and the pulsation dynamics at each monitoring point in different extents of cavitation are obtained based on the Reynolds-averaged N-S equation and the SST k-co equation. The results show that the section-constrained blade has a good constraint capacity on the cavitation, and could enhance the passing ability of the blade in some extent. The main causes of the pressure pulsation inside a pump are the rotor-stator interaction, the separated flow at the round-like pump chamber, and the reflux inside the flow passage. The pressure pulsation inside the impeller and the guide vane is characterized by the significant periodicity, which are both affected by the rotor-stator interaction. And the impeller outlet and the guide vane inlet are more susceptible to the rotor-stator interaction. Studies of the vapor-liquid two-phase flow and the pressure pulsation inside the RCP's impeller with the transient cavitation are of great significance for the prediction of the RCP’s dynamic characteristics after the cavitation, and for the safety and the stable running of the RCP.

Antibody-drug conjugates(ADCs)are commonly heterogeneous and require extensive assessment of exposure-efficacy and exposure-safety relationships in preclinical and clinical *** this study,we report the generation of a monoclonal antibody against monomethyl auristatin E(MMAE)and the development,validation,and application of sensitive and high-throughput enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA)to measure the concentrations of MMAE-conjugated ADCs and total antibodies(tAb,antibodies in ADC plus unconjugated antibodies)in cynomolgus monkey *** assays were successfully applied to in vitro plasma stability and pharmacokinetic(PK)studies of SMADC001,an MMAE-conjugated ADC against trophoblast cell surface antigen 2(TROP-2).The plasma stability of SMADC001 was better than that of similar ADCs coupled with PEG4-Val-Cit,Lys(m-dPEG24)-Cit,and Val-Cit *** developed ELISA methods for the calibration standards of ADC and tAb revealed a correlation between serum concentrations and the OD450 values,with R2 at 1.000,and the dynamic range was 0.3-35.0 ng/mL and 0.2-22.0 ng/mL,respectively;the intra-and inter-assay accuracy bias%ranged from -12.2% to -5.2%,precision ranged from -12.4% to -1.4%,and the relative standard deviation(RSD)was less than 6.6% and 8.7%,*** total error was less than 20.4%.The development and validation steps of these two assays met the acceptance criteria for all addressed validation parameters,which suggested that these can be applied to quantify MMAE-conjugated ADCs,as well as in PK ***,these assays can be easily adopted for development of other similar immunoassays.

A new triterpenoid glycoside（l） and seven known triterpenoid glycosides, pseudoginsenoside RT2（2）,yesanchinoside R2（3）, vinaginsenoside R13（4）, vinaginsenoside R8（5）, notoginsenoside E（6）, 6＂＇-O-acetylginsenosideRe（7）, 6＂-O-acetylginsenoside Rbl（8）, were isolated from the rhizomes of Panaeis maforis. The new triterpenoidglycoside was elucidated as 3-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-（l→2）-fl-D-（6＇-O-ethyl）-glucuronopyranosyl]-oleanolicacid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside by extensive spectroscopic and phytochemical methods. Compounds 2-8 wereobtained from the plant for the first time. Compounds 3 and 4 displayed good activities against adenosine diphosphate（ADP）-induced platelet aggregation, and compounds 1, 5, 6 and 8 showed moderate activities. Compound 6 exhibitedmoderate antiplatelet aggregation activity induced by arachidonic acid（AA）.
