Corrosion Protective Conversion Coatings on Magnesium Disks Using a Hydrothermal Technique

A uniform, compact, and well adherent conversion coating of magnesium hydroxide has been formed on bioresorbable magnesium disks by means of a hydrothermal technique. Electrochemical results indicate that the coating brings about a significant reduction in magnesium corrosion in phosphate buffered saline （PBS） solution. It is also observed that corrosion resistance of the coating increases with an increase in treatment time, which in turn, increases the coating thickness. The protective behavior of magnesium hydroxide coating is attributed to its chemical inertness in PBS solution. The coatings are found to be free from pores that reduce the direct contact between corroding media and underlying magnesium.

The Hubble constant(H_0),which represents the expansion rate of the universe,is one of the most important cosmological *** recent measurements of H0using the distance ladder methods such as type Ia supernovae are significantly greater than the CMB measurements by *** difference points to a crisis in the standard model of cosmology termed Hubble *** this work we compare different cosmological models,determine the Hubble constant and comment on the Hubble tension using the data from differential ages of *** data we use are free from systematic effects as the absolute age estimation of the galaxies is not *** apply the Bayesian approach along with the commonly used maximum likelihood method to estimate H_0 and calculate the AIC scores to compare the different cosmological *** non-flat cosmological model provides a higher value for matter density as well as the Hubble constant compared to the flatΛCDM *** AIC score is smaller for the flatΛCDM cosmology compared to the non-flat model indicating the flat model a better *** best-fit values of H_0 for both these models are 68.7±3.1 km s^(-1)Mpc^(-1)and 72.2±4km s^(-1)Mpc^(-1),*** results are consistent with the CCHP ***,the flat model result does not agree with the SH0ES result,while the non-flat result is inconsistent with the Planck value.

Photoswitchable organic materials have shown significant advancement for photonic applications,however,the polynuclear metal clusters conjugated with photoswitching properties are still ***,a novel octanuclear Zn(Ⅱ) nanocage{[Zn_(8)-(Me_(4)Si_(4)O_(8))_(2)(azopz)_(8)]·4CH_(2)Cl_(2)·MeOH·MeCN}(SD/Zn8)(Hazopz=3,5-dimethyl-4-(phenyldiazenyl)-1H-pyrazole),based on multidentate silsesquioxane and pyrazole modified by photoisomerizable azo group has been designed and synthesized to realize the reversible photoswitching behavior.X-ray crystallographic study reveals that the unique metal core consists of two annular Me_(4)Si_(4)O_(8)^(4-)sandwiching a ring of eight Zn atoms where the pyrazole end of azopz-bridges them *** azopz-ligands diverge above and below the plane defined by eight Zn ***,SD/Zn8 shows quick trans-to-cis transformation upon 365 nm light irradiation,which can be easily changed back by 450 nm light,but slow cis-to-trans reversibility at room temperature as confirmed by UV-V is and 1H NMR *** process,which presumably regulates the spaces,acts like a pump and is completely *** such,it can be considered as a molecular pump energized by ***,the molecule is an energy reservoir where it absorbs the light energy and releases it slowly with time.

Background:The prime objective of the current research was to evaluate the whole plant hydroalcoholic extract of Ludwigia octovalvis(HLO)against hyperglycemia,and oxidative stress biomarkers in rats induced with diabetes comorbid depression,diabetes comorbid depression(streptozotocin-nicotinamide+electric footshocks).Methods:2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl assay of HLO versus ascorbic acid was *** of 200 and 400 mg/kg body weight/day HLO doses versus 25 mg/kg body weight/day metformin was studied through insulin,glucose,superoxide dismutase,lipid peroxidation,catalase,and behavioral assessment(forced swim and open field tests).Results:IC50 values of HLO and ascorbic acid were 33.52 and 27.86μg/mL *** the HLO doses showed intended results with respect to oxidative stress biomarkers in diabetes comorbid depression rats in comparison to *** field test showed better results for HLO in diabetes comorbid depression ***,hypoglycemic effects,and forced swim test performance of metformin was slightly higher than the 400 mg dose,followed by the 200 mg dose of *** gallate,gallic acid,β-sitosterol,and quercetin in HLO might resulted in attenuating diabetic as well as depression ***:Inhibition of glucosidase and lipase activity,and AMP-activated protein kinase phosphorylation might be the possible biochemical changes occurred in HLO treated rats.

Blunt traumatic superior gluteal artery pseudoaneurysm presenting as gluteal hematoma without bony injury： A rare case report

Blunt traumatic injuries to the superior gluteal artery are rare in clinic. A majority of injuries present as aneurysms following penetrating trauma, fracture pelvis or posterior dislocation of the hip joint. We reported a rare case of superior gluteal artery pseudoaneurysm following blunt trauma presenting as large expanding right gluteal hematoma without any bony injury. The gluteal hematoma was suspected clinically, confirmed by ultrasound and the arterial injury was diagnosed by CT angiography that revealed a large right gluteal hematoma with a focal contrast leakage forming a pseudoaneurysm within the hematoma. Pseudoaneurysm arose from the superior gluteal branch of right internal iliac artery, which was successfully angioembolized. The patient was discharged on day 4 of hospitalization with resolving gluteal hematoma. This report highlighted the importance of considering an arterial injury following blunt trauma to the buttocks with subsequent painful swelling. Acknowledgment of this rare injury pattern was necessary to facilitate rapid diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Objective:To evaluate the antidiabetic potential of methanolic extract of Albizia odoratissima *** in alloxan induced diabetic ***:Group-Ⅰ(normal control) mice received only basal diet without any *** Group-Ⅱ(Diabetic control) mice,diabetes was induced by alloxan(150 mg/kg i.p.) and received only Tween 80.5%v/v in normal saline. Group-Ⅲand Group-Ⅳmice received metformin(10 mg/kg) and gliclazide(10 mg/kg) as standard ***-ⅤandⅥmice received methanolic bark extract of Albizia odoratissima at doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight p.o.,***:The results of the study indicates that Albizia odoratissima bark extract significantly(P<0.01) reduced the blood sugar *** bark extract also significantly reduced the levels of serum cholesterol,triglycerides, serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase,serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase,alkaline phosphatase and decreases level of total proteins in alloxan induced diabetic ***: Methanolic extract of Albizia odoratissima has protective effects on the protection of vital tissues(pancreas,kidney,liver,heart and spleen),thereby reducing the causation of diabetes in experimental animals.

A mobile ad-hoc network is an autonomous collection of mobile nodes that communicate over bandwidth constrained wireless links. Due to nodal mobility, the network topology may change rapidly and unpredictably over time. The routing protocols meant for wired network cannot be used for mobile ad-hoc network because of mobility of network. A number of routing protocols like Destination-Sequenced Distance-Vector (DSDV), Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), and Temporally Ordered Routing Algorithm have been implemented. The ad-hoc routing protocols can be divided into two classes;Table-Driven and On-Demand. This paper examines two routing protocols for mobile ad-hoc networks—the Destination Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV), the table-driven protocol and the Ad-Hoc On- Demand Distance Vector routing (AODV), an on-demand protocol and propose an algorithm that facilitates efficient routing of the packet and failure recovery

In the next generation of computing environment e-health care services depend on cloud *** Cloud computing environment provides a real-time computing environment for e-health care *** these services generate a huge number of computational tasks,real-time computing and comes with a deadline,so conventional cloud optimizationmodels cannot fulfil the task in the least time and within the *** overcome this issue many resource optimization meta-heuristic models are been proposed but these models cannot find a global best solution to complete the task in the least time and manage utilization with the least simulation *** order to overcome existing issues,an artificial neural-inspired whale optimization is proposed to provide a reliable solution for healthcare *** this work,two models are proposed one for reliability estimation and the other is based on whale optimization technique and neural network-based binary *** predictive model enhances the quality of service using performance metrics,makespan,least average task completion time,resource usages cost and utilization of the *** as compared to existing algorithms the proposedANN-WHOalgorithms prove to improve the average start time by 29.3%,average finish time by 29.5%and utilization by 11%.

The reconfigurable manufacturing system （RMS） is the next step in manufacturing, allowing the production of any quantity of highly customized and complex parts together with the benefits of mass production. In RMSs, parts are grouped into families, each of which requires a specific system configuration. Initially system is configured to produce the first family of parts. Once it is finished, the system will be reconfigured in order to produce the second family, and so forth. The effectiveness of a RMS depends on the formation of the optimum set of part families addressing various recon figurability issues. The aim of this work is to establish a methodology for grouping parts into families for effective working of RMS. The methodology carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the correlation matrix is used as similarity coefficient matrix. In the second phase, agglomerative hier archical Kmeans algorithm is used for the parts family for mation resulting in an optimum set of part families for reconfigurable manufacturing system.
