Evaluation of.Diabetic Rats Behavior af.er Treatment by <i>Artemisia herba-alba</i>Relative to Insulin

The aim of.the study was to evaluate the behavioral signs of.diabetic rats af.er treatment by Artemisia herba-alba (AHA) and insulin. Method: Based on the induction of.diabetes in wistar rats by intraperitoneal (I/P) injection of.60 mg/kg streptozotocin (STZ), then treated by AHA as 20 mg (I/P) and insulin subcutaneously (S/C). The samples of.rats were: 1) Diabetic control, 2) Injected with insulin, 3) Injected with AHA, 4) Non diabetic rats, which were f.stered f.r 21 day;then weighted and the behavioral tests were conducted. Results: The board hole tests (BHT) showed that: the induced diabetes reduced the cognition of.the rats in view of.Latency of.the f.rst Head Dipping (Lf.D) in seconds, number of.head dipping (NHD) and duration of.head dipping (DHD) by 49.3%, while it’s improved in AHA and insulin treated rats by 52% and 69% in average respectively. The exploratory activity reduced in diabetic rats by 36%, while AHA and Insulin treated rats increased by 53% and 72% respectively. The rearing test showed an increase of.anxiety among diabetic in f.rm of.duration of.rearing, number of.rearing and time spend in center by 51.7% in average respectively, while the anxiety reduced af.er treatment by AHA and insulin by 39% and 47.3% in average respectively. Also the diabetes increased the depression state by 106%, while the treatment by AHA and insulin reduced the depression state by 77% and 88% respectively. And VPT showed that: motor impairment occurred in diabetic cases and improved af.er AHA and insulin treatment.

Af.er more than a decade of.controversy on the role of.stromal cells in the tumor microenvironment,the emerging data shed light on pro-tumorigenic and potential anti-cancer f.ctors,as well as on the roots of.the *** discuss the pro-tumorigenic ef.ects of.stromal cells,considering the ef.ects of.tumor drivers like hypoxia and tumor stif.ness on these cells,as well as stromal cell-mediated adiposity and immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment,and cancer initiating cells'cellular senescence and adaptive *** summarize the emerging data supporting stromal cell therapeutic potential in cancer,discuss the possibility to reprogram stromal cells of.the tumor microenvironment f.r anti-cancer ef.ects,and explore some causes of.discrepancies on the roles of.stromal cells in cancer in the available literature.

Objective:Ipomoea batatas(L.)*** a f.od plant used in Af.ican traditional medicine to treat cardiovascular diseases and related *** assessed the hypolipidemic and anti-atherosclerogenic properties of.the aqueous extract of.*** leaves in a rat model of.diet-induced ***:Hypercholesterolemia was induced in male Wistar rats by exclusive f.eding with a cholesterolenriched(1%)standard diet f.r f.ur ***,rats were treated once daily(per os)with *** extract at doses of.400,500 and 600 mg/kg or with atorvastatin(2 mg/kg),f.r f.ur *** treatment,animals were observed f.r another f.ur weeks and then *** were excised and processed f.r histopathological studies,and blood glucose level and lipid prof.le were ***:Hypercholesterolemic animals experienced a 21.5%f.ster increase in body weight,signif.cant increases in blood glucose and blood lipids(148.94%triglycerides,196.97%high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,773.04%low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,148.93%very low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and 210.42%total cholesterol),and increases in aorta thickness and atherosclerotic plaque sizes compared to rats f.d standard *** of.hypercholesterolemic rats with the extract mitigated these alterations and restored blood glucose and blood lipid levels to normocholesterolemic ***:Our f.ndings suggest that *** leaves have hypolipidemic and anti-atherosclerogenic properties and justif. their use in traditional medicine.
