This paper proposes a laterally graded junctionless transistor taking peak doping concentration near the source and drain region, and a gradual decrease in doping concentration towards the center of the channel to improve the I OFF and I ON/I OFF ratio. The decrease of doping concentration in the lateral direction of the channel region depletes a greater number of charge carriers compared to the uniformly doped channel in the OFF-state,which in turn suppresses the OFF state current flowing through the device without greatly affecting the ON state current.

We propose a hetero-gate-dielectric double gate junctionless transistor （HGJLT）, taking high-k gate insulator at source side and low-k gate insulator at drain side, which reduces the effects ＆band-to-band tunnelling （BTBT） in the sub-threshold region. A junctionless transistor （JLT） is turned off by the depletion of carriers in the highly doped thin channel （device layer） which results in a significant band overlap between the valence band of the channel region and the conduction band of the drain region, due to off-state drain bias, that triggers electrons to tunnel from the valence band of the channel region to the conduction band of the drain region leaving behind holes in the *** effects of band-to-band tunnelling increase the sub-threshold leakage current, and the accumulation of holes in the channel forms a parasitic bipolar junction transistor （n-p-n BJT for channel JLT） in the lateral direction by the source （emitter）, channel （base） and drain （collector） regions in JLT structure in off-state. The proposed HGJLT reduces the subthreshold leakage current and suppresses the parasitic BJT action in off-state by reducing the band-to-band tunnelling probability.

Background: Vitamin D is not only important for bone health but can also affect the development of several non-bone diseases. These findings have increased the need for determining vitamin D status in a convenient and cost-effective way. In order to determine the better method for detecting vitamin D status, we have estimated blood vitamin D in three methods such as high-pressure liquid chromatography, chemiluminescent immunoassays and enzyme immunoassays. Method: Two hundred and sixteen subjects irrespective of age and sex were studied for blood vitamin D in all the three methods over a period of 2 years. This paper builds on exploring the applications of biomediated pathways to solve geotechnical ***,the state of the art of biological remediation strategies including microbial remediation and phytoremediation have been introduced and critically reviewed in the context of decontaminating the ***,biopolymerisation,biomineralisation and bioneutralisation processes have been depicted with a special emphasis on the applications including but not limited to soil stabilisation,soil erosion prevention,anti-desertification and pH *** of these methods have their own limitations and bottlenecks while scaling up,and these challenges have been summarised and some possible paths to overcome the challenges have also been *** state of the art of electromagnetic(EM)monitoring methods to capture the effects of biomediation on spatio-temporal soil properties are then highlighted as a non-invasive and rapid pathway to track the progress of biomediated soil ***,each of the technologies discussed have been evaluated for their maturity level using the principles of technology readiness level(TRL).A majority of the technologies amounting to around 77%are still in the TRL 4e7,*** the valley of *** is thus evident that development of these technologies needs to be supported with appropriate funding for improving their maturity to a level of industrial deployment.

Bioremediation is an eco-compatible and economical approach to counter textile dye menace. The isolated Lentinus squarrosulus AF5 was assessed for decolourization of textile azo dyes, and had shown ~93%, 88% and 70% decolorization of Reactive blue 160 (RB160), Reactive black 5 (RB5) and Amido black 10B (AB10B) respectively. Further analysis using UV-vis, HPLC, and FTIR, 1H NMR had shown the degradation of the dyes. Toxicity analysis of the metabolites was performed using seed germination and plant growth on two agriculturally important plants Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba) and wheat (Triticum aestivum) as well as cytotoxicity analysis using the human keratinocyte cell line (HaCaT). The dye mix appeared inhibitory for seed germination (20% - 40%), whereas metabolites were non-inhibitory for germination. Treatment of HaCaT cells with of dye mix and metabolites led into 45% and ~100% of cell viability of HaCaT cells respectively. Therefore, metabolites following degradation of the dye mix were observed to be non-toxic.

BACKGROUND Intestinal ultrasound(IUS)is an emerging,non-invasive,and highly sensitive diagnostic tool in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),including ulcerative colitis(UC).Despite its potential,its adoption in clinical practice is limited due to a lack of standardization and *** To perform a comprehensive scoping review based on a systematic literature review on IUS in UC to inform current *** Ninety-nine original articles about ultrasonography in UC were identified among 7608 citations searching PubMed and EMBASE databases for systematic *** IUS can be useful as an initial diagnostic strategy in patients with suspected IBD/*** UC,IUS can predict endoscopic response,histologic healing,and steroid responsiveness in acute severe *** can predict response to biologics/small molecules(as early as 2 wk).IUS correlates well with ileocolonoscopy,but IUS could miss rectal,jejunal,and upper GI lesions in suspected IBD and colon polyps or extra-intestinal manifestations in known *** is useful in special situations(children,pregnancy,and postoperative Crohn's disease).Inter-observer agreement is acceptable and trained physicians have comparable diagnostic ***-of-care ultrasound impacted management in 40%-60%of ***-held IUS has excellent agreement with conventional *** IUS is a non-invasive,highly sensitive tool in the diagnosis and monitoring of UC,offering excellent patient ***-of-care ultrasound by IBD physicians can significantly impact clinical decision-making.
