Shape optimisation of basin insulator for DC gas insulated switchgear/gas insulated transmission lines based on artificial bee colony algorithm

The surface charge accumulation on the basin insulator is a particular problem in high-voltage direct current(HVDC)gas insulated switchgears(GIS)and gas insulated trans-mission lines(GIL),which restricts the development and application of extra/ultra high-voltage(EHV/UHV)*** surface charge distribution and anti-flashover performance are closely related to the insulator *** obtain the optimal basin insulator,a shape optimisation model based on artificial bee colony algorithm was established,and the minimisation objective functions based on capacitive(initial)electric field distribution and resistive(steady-state)electric field distribution were respectively *** optimisation results of the two objective functions were calculated,and the electric field and charge distribution on the surface of the insulator before and after optimisation were evaluated and compared using the simulation *** results indicated that the optimisation based on the capacitive electric field can significantly inhibit the surface charge accumulation,and the optimised insulator can significantly reduce the surface normal electric field and make the distribution of the tangential electric field more uniform,and the maximum tangential electric field can be reduced by 10%;the optimisation based on resistive electric field can achieve similar results,but requires more computational *** on the results,the‘anti-charge’basin insulator structure suitable for the DC field was given.

BACKGROUND In recent years, the incidence of types Ⅱ and Ⅲ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction(AEG) has shown an obvious upward trend worldwide. The prognostic prediction after radical resection of AEG has not been well *** To establish a prognostic model for AEG(types II and III) based on routine *** A total of 355 patients who underwent curative AEG at The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2014 to June 2015 were retrospectively included in this study. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify the independent risk factors. A nomogram was constructed based on Cox proportional hazards models. The new score models was analyzed by C index and calibration curves. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was used to compare the predictive accuracy of the scoring system and tumor-node-metastasis(TNM) stage. Overall survival was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier curve amongst different risk AEG *** Multivariate analysis showed that TNM stage(hazard ratio [HR] = 2.286, P = 0.008), neutrophil-tolymphocyte ratio(HR = 2.979, P = 0.001), and body mass index(HR = 0.626, P = 0.026) were independent prognostic factors. The new scoring system had a higher concordance index(0.697),and the calibration curves of the nomogram were reliable. The area under the ROC curve of the new score model(3-year: 0.725, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.676-0.777;5-year: 0.758, 95%CI:0.708-0.807) was larger than that of TNM staging(3-year: 0.630, 95%CI: 0.585-0.684;5-year: 0.665,95%CI: 0.616-0.715).CONCLUSION Based on the serum markers and other clinical indicators, we have developed a precise model to predict the prognosis of patients with AEG(types II and III). The new prognostic nomogram could effectively enhance the predictive value of the TNM staging system. This scoring system can be advantageous and helpful for surgeons and patients.

Coalbursts in China: Theory, practice and management

Coalburst is one of the most serious disasters that threaten the safe production of coal mines, and this disaster is particularly serious in China. This paper presents an overview of coalbursts in China since 1980s. From the "stress and energy" and "regional and local" perspectives, the achievements in the theory, practice and management of coalbursts in China are systematically summarized. A theoretical system of coalbursts has been formed to reveal the deformational behavior of coalbursts and explain the mechanism of coalbursts. The occurrence conditions of coalbursts are put forward and the critical stress is obtained. The stress index method for risk evaluation of coalbursts before mining is proposed, and the deformation localization prediction method of coalbursts is put forward. The relationship between energy release and absorption in the process of coalbursts is found, and the prevention and control methods of coalbursts, including the regional method, the local method and support, are presented. The safety evaluation index of coalburst prevention and control is put forward. The integrated prevention and control method for coal and gas outbursts is proposed. The prevention and control technology and equipment of coalbursts have also been developed. Amongst them, the distribution law of the critical stress in China coalburst mines is discovered. The technology and equipment for monitoring, prevention and control of coalbursts, as well as for integrated prevention and control of combined coalbursts and other disasters, have been developed. The energy-absorbing and coalburst-preventing support technology for roadways is invented, and key engineering parameters of coalburst prevention and control are pointed out. In China, coalburst prevention and control laws and standards have been developed. Technical standards for coalbursts are formulated, statute and regulations for coal mines are established, and regulatory documents are promoted.
