The present study aims to develop a new hybrid Fuzzy Simulink model to assess the groundwater quality levels in Tiruchirappalli city, South India. Water quality management is an important issue in the modern times. The data collected for Tiruchirappalli city have been utilized to develop the approach. This is illustrated with seventy nine groundwater samples collected from Tiruchirappalli city Corporation, South India. The characteristics of the groundwater for this plain were monitored during the years 2006 and 2008. The quality of groundwater at several established stations within the plain were assessed using Fuzzy Logic (FL) and GIS maps. The results of the calculated FL and GIS maps with the monitoring study have yielded good agreement. Groundwater quality for potability indicated high to moderate water pollution levels at Srirangam, Ariyamangalam, Golden Rock and K. Abisekapurm zones of the study area, depending on factors such as depth to groundwater, constituents of groundwater and vulnerability of groundwater to pollution. Fuzzy logic simulation approach has shown to be a practical, simple and useful tool to assess groundwater quality assessment for potability. This approach is capable of showing and updating the water quality assessment for drinking.

Background: In spite of advanced technologies and drug discoveries, morbidity and mortality were undoubtedly increasing in the era of contraception and abortion. Aims: Altruistic correlation of increasing morbidity, mortality, with contraception, abortion was planned for. Methods: In 2012, a retrospective analysis of prevalence of mortality in 350 patients of 20 - 35 years, 35 - 50 years and >50 years from data collected between 2003 and 2012 by convenient, stratified random sampling, from community, hospital, and its association with contraception and abortion status was undertaken;simultaneously, serum estrogen levels obtained from 105 patients were analyzed. In 2014, randomly chosen 8 males, of the 3 age groups, from a different community, whose life partners had undergone sterilization, were assessed for their serum testosterone levels. Results: Contraception users exhibited 3 - 4 fold increased mortality [p 50 years [p < 0.0005]. Endogenous estrogen was reduced in 75% [p < 0.0005] of contraceptive users. Plasma testosterone was reduced in males observing contraception, to less than 50% of normal, e.g. 1.3 ng/ml;66.6% contraception users aged 20 - 35 years had reduced [p < 0.0005] testosterone;100% of male contraception users aged 36 - 70 years showed reduced testosterone [p < 0.0005]. Conclusion: The “withered tree akin host” concept is contraception, abortion, with smashed fragmentation of germ cells. Reduced endogenous estrogen, androgen [dried up, destroyed life factors] result in deranged cell metabolism, cell cycle, and defaulted genomic repertoire, leading to failure of all established pharmacological therapeutics, including advanced technologies which yield gratifying results in non contracepted people today and in every one, before the era of contraception;subsets of people, host with contraception, with destroyed life factors, behave helplessly, concerning therapeutic applications, compared with subsets of people, host without contraception, with intac

Terrain characteristics of the land and meteorological properties of the region are the main natural factors for flood. The recent flood in Chennai was unexpected and not triggered by the above factors. Sometimes floods occur when the watershed size is considerably small which leads to the over flow of water inland may due to the encroachment and the urban development of the city. Temporarily used backwater effects in sewers and local drainage channels and creation of unsanitary conditions may cause flooding. Chennai flood was basically claimed to occur due to improper drainage system and underlying strata which was found to be landfill over the ponds and lakes. The Coouam River which flows through the centre of main city was found silting due to the improper drainage facilities and encroachment by the local peoples who causes flood. For the analysis of potentially affected areas Geographical Information System (GIS) integrated with Multicriteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) were employed. Ranking and displaying the potentially risky areas, the spatial Multicriteria analysis was used. It has been revealed that all most all the area’s having populations are likely to be exposed to flood hazard. At the end of study, a map of flood risk areas was generated and studied with a view to assisting decision makers on the consequences posed by the disaster.

The incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is rising worldwide. Although the best chance for long-term survival is early detection, screening high-risk populations to detect HCC when it is most treatable still has only limited success. Once detected within the cirrhotic liver, many observations still defy correct characterization, due in part to a history of nonstandarized nomenclature and reporting patterns. Recently, however, an initiative by the American College of Radiology, Liver Imaging-Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS), has begun to remedy these inadequacies. Here, we review LI-RADS, and focus in particular on the difficult nodule, i.e., a radiological observation that challenges our current diagnostic ability, and review essential technical imaging features that aid in the diagnosis of early HCC.

The World Heritage Committee of UNESCO has called for a strategic commitment from its States Parties to strengthen links between heritage conservation and sustainable development. Fulfilment of this commitment will require integration of the conservation of sites with the sustainable use and management of natural resources in a larger area beyond the boundaries of sites. Identification and demarcation of areas for conserving World Heritage sites and sustainable development of broader regions must derive from an in-depth knowledge of people-environment relationships. The management of Angkor-an iconic World Heritage site -has been primarily focused on conservation and restoration of monuments within the boundaries of the site. However, that focus is now shifting towards addressing environmental, social and economic challenges for sustainable development of the broader landscape described in this paper as the Angkor ecosystem. Angkor has the potential to demonstrate the application of an ecosystem approach to sustainable development--advocated under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. The site could be a laboratory for new research on cultural ecosystem services as a tool for bridging site conservation to the sustainable development of the Siem Reap province where the site is located.

Spatial Clustering has been recognized as a primary data mining method for knowledge discovery in spatial *** this paper,we have analyzed an efficient method for the fusion of the outputs of the various clusterers,with less *** have discussed our proposed layered merging technique for spatial datasets and used it in our clustering combination technique in this *** procedure is normally used to assign labels for the clusters and resolving the correspondence problem when partitions are made from different *** have eliminated the need for such voting using the matching *** on the cardinality and the set intersections,most likely cluster groups across different clusters are grouped as matching *** more than 50 percent of the clusterers agree upon the groupings,they are resolved into the final *** our method,as we travel down the layered merge,we calculate degree of agreement (DOA) factor,based on the count of agreed *** the updated DOA at every layer,the movement of unresolved,unsettled data elements will be handled at much reduced the computational *** advantage of this approach is the reuse of the gained knowledge in previous layers,thereby yielding better cluster accuracy and robustness.

Functionalized exfoliated graphene oxide (EGO) for supercapacitor electrodes have been synthesized by simple chemical methods from the exfoliated graphite (EG) as precursor. Structural and morphological characterizations of EGO have been carried out using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), FTIR and Raman spectroscopy. Electrochemical performance of these electrodes has been investigated using cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The fabricated supercapacitor gave a specific capacitance of 146 Fg-1 and energy density of 20 Wh·kg-1 for a highly oxidized sample with more functional groups compared to pure, lower level oxidized and reduced samples. The single and multi layered graphene oxide sheets produced by this method have a lower degree of agglomeration. We found that the graphene oxide with functional oxygen groups of quinine type enhances the capacitance compared to other oxygen functional groups.

Al-7075 alloy-base matrix, reinforced with mixtures of silicon carbide (SiC) and boron carbide (B4C) particles, know as hybrid composites have been fabricated by stir casting technique (liquid metallurgy route) and optimized at different parameters like sliding speed, applied load, sliding time, and percentage of reinforcement by Taguchi method. The specimens were examined by Rockwell hardness test machine, Pin on Disc, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Optical Microscope. A plan of experiment generated through Taguchi’s technique is used to conduct experiments based on L27 orthogonal array. The developed ANOVA and the regression equations were used to find the optimum wear as well as co-efficient of friction under the influence of sliding speed, applied load, sliding time and percentage of reinforcement. The dry sliding wear resistance was analyzed on the basis of “smaller the best”. Finally, confirmation tests were carried out to verify the experimental results.

目的:探讨在对黄斑裂孔伴视网膜脱离眼进行内界膜剥离中使用PFCL(过氟化碳液体)的手术技巧和手术效果。方法:本研究包括在2001-12/2002-10 8 例(8眼)诊断为完全视网膜脱离伴黄斑裂孔患者,年龄13～65(平均39)岁,男女比例5∶3,近视组和非近视组各4 眼。对患者施行玻璃体切除术、ICG染色内界膜、手术中用PFCL 使视网膜变平、内界膜剥离、气液交换以及在裂孔外围行眼内激光手术,并使用硅油或C3F8 填充。结果:随访6～9(平均6.5)mo。非近视眼组随访结束时,3 眼(75%)黄斑裂孔完全封闭,1 眼(25%)裂孔变小,边缘变平。近视眼组4 眼在随访结束时黄斑裂孔全部成功封闭。两组对照,在随访结束时,黄斑裂孔完全封闭为7 眼(88%),未封闭但边缘变平1 眼(12%)。结论:使用PFCL 对于黄斑裂孔伴视网膜脱离眼行内界膜剥离非常有意义。
