Field study results of a 3rd generation roof bolter canopy air curtain for respirable coal mine dust control

A 3rd generation roof bolter canopy air curtain(CAC)has been developed and constructed by ***&Co.,*** with the previous generation of the CAC,this design uses the principle of providing uniform airflow across the canopy area as recommended by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and *** new modifications include a plenum that is constructed of a single flat aluminum plate,smaller-diameter airflow openings,and a single row of perimeter nozzles designed to prevent mine air contaminated by respirable dust from entering the CAC protection *** testing was conducted on this new 3rd generation design showing reductions in coal mine respirable dust exposure for roof bolter *** control efficiencies for the CAC for the left bolter operator(intake side)ranged from approximately 26%–60%,while the efficiencies for the CAC for the right bolter operator(return side)ranged from 3%to 47%.

Additive manufacturing of Sm-Fe-N magnets

Isotropic Sm-Fe-N bonded magnets were obtained by additive manufacturing(AM). The technique used was the so-called powder bed fusion(PBF) and the feedstock was composed of a polymeric binder(pa-12) and Sm-Fe-N flake particles(Nitroquench-P). The AM set-up equipment uses a computer-controlled CO2 laser beam to melt the binder and constructs magnets layer-by-layer. In order to develop this study, a cylinder with 10 mm of both height and diameter was selected as the shape of samples. Specimens were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). Magnetic properties were measured in a hysteresis graph. XRD results indicate that there is no degradation of the main magnetic phase(SmFe7 Nx). In the AM component, porous regions were identified on SEM micrographs, as well as magnetic particles and polymeric binder. Remanence values(Br) as great as 0.3 T are achieved, while intrinsic coercivities remain in the range from 616 up to 642 ka/m. An additional isostatic compression of the parts results in greater remanence, which is directly proportional to the density increase. Coercivity is also sensitive to the porosity decrease, probably due to a better interlocking of particles. Current results indicate AM as a promising route for near net-shape manufacturing of Sm-Fe-N permanent magnets, a market niche yet to be widely explored.

Meiosis is a specialized cell division for producing haploid gametes in sexually reproducing *** this study,we have independently identified a novel meiosis protein male meiosis recombination regulator(MAMERR)/4930432 K21 Rik and showed that it is indispensable for meiosis prophase I progression in male *** super-resolution structured illumination microscopy,we found that MAMERR functions at the same double-strand breaks as the replication protein A and meiosis-specific with OB domains/spermatogenesis associated 22 *** generated a Mamerr-deficient mouse model by deleting exons 3 e6 and found that most of Mamerrà/àspermatocytes were arrested at pachynema and failed to progress to diplonema,although they exhibited almost intact synapsis and progression to the pachytene stage along with XY body *** mechanistic studies revealed that the recruitment of DMC1/RAD51 and heat shock factor 2 ebinding protein in Mamerrà/àspermatocytes was only mildly impaired with a partial reduction in double-strand break repair,whereas a substantial reduction in ubiquitination on the autosomal axes and on the XY body appeared as a major phenotype in Mamerrà/à*** propose that MAMERR may participate in meiotic prophase I progression by regulating the ubiquitination of key meiotic proteins on autosomes and XY chromosomes,and in the absence of MAMERR,the repressed ubiquitination of key meiotic proteins leads to pachytene arrest and cell death.

目的开发一个基于Web的本地服务器支持的功能全面的基因组比较和可视化平台,以加快对基因组的分析。方法构建以Apache hTTP服务器为平台的WEB服务器,采用Perl语言编程,优选整合了MUMmer、LAGAN、Mauve等多个基因组学研究的软件和算法,针对生物学家不同的应用目的,可直接在网页上提交基因组序列数据和参数选项,经平台处理的结果通过网页以图形化的方式返回用户。结果该平台可以处理多种序列数据输入格式,实现了完整的基因组序列和草图基因组序列比对,近远源物种的双基因组或多基因组比对,基因组间的同线性区域寻找,以及定位大范围的基因组重组(基因插入/缺失、重复、重排和水平转移)和小的核苷酸突变等功能;并将结果以图形化的方式显示。应用本平台,对10种新型甲型流感病毒株作基因组同源性分析,表明PB1基因可能来自于人h3N2,PB2、pa基因可能来自于禽类h3N2,而hA、NS基因可能来自于猪h1N1。在本平台上还对结核分枝杆菌(h37Rv、CDC1551)和牛分支杆菌(AF2122/97)基因组的研究分析,发现插入/缺失和重复序列是导致三个菌株基因组差异的主要来源。结论该平台功能资源整合较全面,应用界面友好,结果显示直观,故可作为比较基因组学常规研究的有效平台。

The final analysis of the phase 3 Targeted Investigational Treatment Analysis of Novel Anti-androgen(TitaN)trial showed improvement in overall survival(OS)and other efficacy endpoints with apalutamide plus androgen deprivation therapy(ADT)versus ADT alone in patients with metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer(mCSPC).As ethnicity and regional differences may affect treatment outcomes in advanced prostate cancer,a post hoc final analysis was conducted to assess the efficacy and safety of apalutamide in the Asian ***-driven endpoints were OS,and time from randomization to initiation of castration resistance,prostate-specific antigen(PSA)progression,and second progression-free survival(PFS2)on first subsequent therapy or *** endpoints were assessed using the kaplan–Meier method and Cox proportional-hazards models without formal statistical testing and adjustment for *** Asian patients received once-daily apalutamide 240 mg(n=111)or placebo(n=110)plus *** a median follow-up of 42.5 months and despite crossover of 47 placebo recipients to open-label apalutamide,apalutamide reduced the risk of death by 32%(hazard ratio[hR]:0.68;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.42–1.13),risk of castration resistance by 69%(hR:0.31;95%CI:0.21–0.46),PSA progression by 79%(hR:0.21;95%CI:0.13–0.35)and PFS2 by 24%(hR:0.76;95%CI:0.44–1.29)relative to *** outcomes were comparable between subgroups with low-and high-volume disease at *** new safety issues were *** provides valuable clinical benefits to Asian patients with mCSPC,with an efficacy and safety profile consistent with that in the overall patient population.
