The nano-patterned InGaN film was used in green InGaN/GaN multiple quantum wells(MQWs)structure,to relieve the unpleasantly existing mismatch between high indium content InGaN and GaN,as well as to enhance the light output.The different self-assembled nano-masks were formed on InGaN by annealing thin Ni layers of different thicknesses.Whereafter,the InGaN films were etched into nano-patterned films.Compared with the green MQWs structure grown on untreated InGaN film,which on nano-patterned InGaN had better luminous performance.Among them the MQWs performed best when 3 nm thick Ni film was used as mask,because that optimally balanced the effects of nano-patterned InGaN on the crystal quality and the light output.

Against the background of urban renewal,the landscape transformation of urban public space into urban parks has become an effective way of improving environmental quality and creating an emotional attachment for people.Meanwhile,existing studies have seldom adopted experimental methods to scientifically reveal the effect of different landscape features on emotional experience.Using a portable eye movement tracker,wearable wireless physiological sensor,and emotional attachment scale,this study collects participants’ergonomics data,and their degree and dimension of emotional attachment while experiencing different landscape features in Wudaokou Park in Beijing,China.The data were analyzed with the help of ErgoLab platform and IBM SPSS software.The results indicate that the artificial and natural landscape features and their specific characteristics have different effects on eye movement index,heart rate variability,skin conductance level,and attachment degree and dimension.The design of Wudaokou Park was proven to significantly promote emotional attachment.Natural features play an important role,among which the use of wild plants and gazebosdshowing the texture and structural logic of bamboo materialsdstand out.The research not only expands the practical scope of ergonomics instruments and improves the rationality of the emotional attachment scale,but also provides emotion-oriented design methods for urban researchers and designers to improve the emotional experience in urban parks in the future.

Intelligent fault recognition techniques are essential to ensure the long-term reliability of manufacturing.Due to the variations in material,equipment and environment,the process variables monitored by sensors contain diverse data characteristics at different time scales or in multiple operating modes.Despite much progress in statistical learning and deep learning for fault recognition,most models are constrained by abundant diagnostic expertise,inefficient multiscale feature extraction and unruly multimode condition.To overcome the above issues,a novel fault diagnosis model called adaptive multiscale convolutional neural network(AMCNN)is developed in this paper.A new multiscale convolutional learning structure is designed to automatically mine multiple-scale features from time-series data,embedding the adaptive attention module to adjust the selection of relevant fault pattern information.The triplet loss optimization is adopted to increase the discrimination capability of the model under the multimode condition.The benchmarks CSTR simulation and Tennessee Eastman process are utilized to verify and illustrate the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method.Compared with other common models,AMCNN shows its outstanding fault diagnosis performance and great generalization ability.

Enhancement of optical characteristic of InGaN/GaN multiple quantum-well structures by self-growing air voids

InGaN/GaN multiple quantum-well(MQW) structures with a wavelength range of green were successfully grown on a c-plane GaN template with SiO_2 stripe patterns along the [11-20] and [1-100] directions as a mask. The surface morphologies of both samples were investigated using scanning electron microscopy and demonstrated anisotropic growth characteristics of GaN. The optical characteristics were investigated using Raman spectra and photoluminescence(PL). The InGaN/GaN MQW structure grown on the GaN template with SiO_2 stripes along the [1-100] orientation exhibited less stress and higher PL intensity.Transmission electron microscopy results indicated that portions of MQWs were grown on an inclined semipolar plane, and air voids occurred only when the direction of the mask stripe was along the [1-100] orientation. The enhancement of the optical characteristic was due to the air-void structure and inclined semipolar quantum-well sidewalls.

Theoretical System of Sandstone-Type Uranium Deposits in Northern China

Many theoretical results on sandstone-type uranium mineralization in northern China obtained by the uranium research team of the Tianjin Center of Geological Survey in recent years are presented.From the source sink system of uranium-producing basins,sedimentary environment of uranium-bearing rock series,ore-forming fluid information,evolution of tectonic events,basin formation and development,we redefine and classify uranium orebodies,redox zoning,and ore-controlling structural styles.We then systematically propose a theoretical system of sandstone-type uranium deposits in northern China.We conclude that sandstone-type uranium deposits in northern China are mainly found in sedimentary environments such as rivers,deltas,and alluvial fans in the Mesozoic and Cenozoic lowstand systems tract and in gray sandstone layers in the vertical redox zoning.The orebodies are controlled by the tectonic slope belt,which is in the shape of a strip on the plane,and spreads in a layer or plate on the section.Vertical(ups and downs)tectonic movement triggers large-scale phreatic flow in the basin,which is the real driving force for controlling the ore-forming fluid.The theoretical system of sandstone-type uranium deposits in northern China should be based on global tectonic movement and environmental changes and take into account factors such as basins as a unit to study mineralization background,ore concentration areas as objects to study mineralization,and the correlation between regional tectonic movement and metallogenic process as a breakthrough point to study tectonic events and metallogenic events.It should also be based on different basin types to establish metallogenic models.The innovative research results and ideas are summarized with the aim of promoting the continuous improvement of sandstone-type uranium mineralization theory in northern China.

以皖南古村中鲜为人知的另类山地聚落——阳产土楼为例,在环境行为研究领域多学科推动完善的人地交互理论导引下,结合具身研究与图像数据,以其发生发展的动力源——人与山地交互(transaction)为入手点,阐述阳产的聚落空间构成要素与山地聚落空间特征。从人工-自然2类空间构成要素的梳理开始,分析其动态交互式空间、静态交互式空间及动静组合的空间序列,揭示其空间特征对使用者具身行为的引导及情感关联的建立作用。从场所营建的视角挖掘阳产“因山制形”的营建智慧,提出“人地交互”作为一种理解、研究、感受与设计场地的具身式方法。由此,一方面完善此类徽州传统村落研究的不足,为其后续保护、更新与活化提供参考;另一方面也为数字时代的山地聚落空间设计给予启示。

Effects of chitin nanocrystals on coverage of coating layers and water retention of coating color

This study assessed the applicability of chitin nanocrystals prepared by 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-1-Piperidine-1-oxyl radical(TEMPO)-mediated oxidation in traditional papermaking coating color systems.The𝛼-chitin nanocrystals(CTNCs)with different carboxyl content,size,and morphology were prepared from crab shells by alkali pretreatment and TEMPO-mediated oxidation in the water at pH 10,and then the ratio of CTNCs to latex was applied to traditional coating color system to replace part of latex.The results showed that when the amount of NaClO added as co-oxidant in the oxidation was 15.0 mmol/g of chitin,the carboxyl content of alkali-pretreated CTNCs was up to 0.76 mmol/g.The amount of carboxyl groups presented a linear relation with the degree of individualization of nanocrystals and dispersion.When the ratio of latex to CTNCs was 90꞉10,the water retention value of the coating was 92%lower than that of the pure latex system,and the rheological property was better.The relationship between the addition amount of CTNCs and the surface strength and the coverage of coating layers were also studied,and results showed that when the ratio of latex to CTNCs was 95꞉5,the surface strength was the highest of 1.45 m/s,and the coverage of coating layers rate reached the highest of 78%.

The tissue-resident skeletal stem cells(SSCs),which are self-renewal and multipotent,continuously provide cells(including chondrocytes,bone cells,marrow adipocytes,and stromal cells)for the development and homeostasis of the skeletal system.In recent decade,utilizing fluorescence-activated cell sorting,lineage tracing,and single-cell sequencing,studies have identified various types of SSCs,plotted the lineage commitment trajectory,and partially revealed their properties under physiological and pathological conditions.In this review,we retrospect to SSCs identification and functional studies.We discuss the principles and approaches to identify bona fide SSCs,highlighting pioneering findings that plot the lineage atlas of SSCs.The roles of SSCs and progenitors in long bone,craniofacial tissues,and periosteum are systematically discussed.We further focus on disputes and challenges in SSC research.
