Soil microbiomes drive the biogeochemical cycling of nitrogen and regulate soil N supply and loss,thus,pivotal nitrogen use efficiency(NUE).Meanwhile,there is an increasing awareness that plant associated microbiomes and soil food web interactions is vital for modulating crop productivity and N *** rapid advances in modern omics-based techniques and biotechnologies make it possible to manipulate soil-plant microbiomes for improving NUE and reducing N environmental *** paper summarizes current progress in research on regulating soil microbial N cycle processes for NUE improvement,plant-microbe interactions benefiting plant N uptake,and the importance of soil microbiomes in promoting soil health and crop *** also proposes a potential holistic(rhizosphere-root-phyllosphere)microbe-based approach to improve NUE and reduce dependence on mineral N fertilizer in agroecosystems,toward nature-based solution for nutrient management in intensive cropping systems.

High-Energy Tunable 6.5-12 μm Picosecond Mid-Infrared Radiation Generated from Optical Parametric Amplifier Based on LiInSe2 Crystal

We report high-energy tunable 6.5-12 μm ps mid-infrared radiation generation based on OPA pumped using 1064 nm laser in LISe *** simulated the relationship between the idler energy and crystal *** optimum LISe length of 4 mm was used to enhance the idler energy *** a pump energy of ～9.4 mJ, energy levels of ～146 and of ～27 μJ are generated at 6.5 μm and 12 μm, *** highest energy of ～205 μJ is achieved at 8.1 μm at a pump energy of ～19 ***, the angular and spectral width acceptance are measured.

Response of bacterial communities to short-term pyrene exposure in red soil

Pyrene, a representative polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon （PAH） compound produced mainly from incomplete combustion of fossil fuels, is hazardous to ecosystem health. However, long-term exposure studies did not detect any significant effects of pyrene on soil microorganism. In this study, short-term microcosm experiments were conducted to identify the immediate effect of pyrene on soil bacterial communities. A freshly- collected pristine red soil was spiked with pyrene at 0, 10, 100, 200, and 500 ***-~ and incubated for one day and seven days. The bacterial communities in the incubated soils were analyzed using 16S rRNA sequencing and terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism （T- RFLP） methods. The results revealed high bacterial diversity in both unspiked and pyrene-spiked soils. Only at the highest pyrene-spiking rate of 500 ***-~, two minor bacteria groups of the identified 14 most abundant bacteria groups were completely suppressed. Short-term exposure to pyrene resulted in dominance of Proteobac- teria in soil, followed by Acidobacteria, Firmutes, and Bacteroidetes. Our findings showed that bacterial commu- nity structure did respond to the presence of pyrene but recovered rapidly from the perturbation. The intensity of impact and the rate of recovery showed some pyrene dosage-dependent trends. Our results revealed that differ- ent levels of pyrene may affect the bacterial community structure by suppressing or selecting certain groups of bacteria. It was also found that the bacterial community was most susceptible to pyrene within one day of the chemical addition.

Introduction:Newer skin tests,including the ESAT6-CFP10(EC)skin test,were recommended for diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis(***)***,no data exist assessing the diagnostic performance of the EC skin test among foreign students with different skin ***:A cohort study at Nanjing Medical University screened incoming foreign *** EC skin test was used to assess for *** infection,and results were read at 24,48,72,and 96-hours ***:Among 96 participants,*** infection rates at 24,48,72,and 96-hours post-injection were 3.13%,7.29%,13.54%,and 9.38%,*** infection rates were lower among individuals with darker skin tones,the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.186),and variations were consistent across different measurement *** analysis revealed 5.3%in the continuousincreasing group,86.5%in the low-stable group,and 5.2%in the elevated-decreasing ***,participants in the elevated-decreasing group had lighter skin tones,with trajectory patterns consistent across different skin ***:The EC skin test is safe,and redness diameter is a more reliable indicator than *** should be collected within 48 to 72 hours,with verification at 72 hours crucial if initial results are ***,skin color does not affect EC skin test outcomes.

Inverted perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have attracted broad research and industrial interest owing to their suppressed hysteresis,cost-effectiveness,and ***,the issue of non-radiative recombination losses at the n-type interface between the perovskite and fullerene has impeded further improvement of photovoltaic ***,we modify the n-type interface of FAPbI_(3) perovskite films by constructing a stereochemical two-dimensional(2D) perovskite interlayer,in which the organic cations comprise both pyridine and ammonium *** pyridine N donor can create stable bonding with the surface-uncoordinated Pb on the perovskite,thereby passivating the shallow-level defects and enhancing the air stability of the ***,the pyridine N donor also offers a positive polar interface to decrease the surface work function of the perovskite film,enabling n-type ***,we employ a p-i-n photovoltaic(PV) device with the positive dipole interlayer at perovskite/fullerene contact and achieve remarkable photoelectric conversion efficiency(PCE) of 22.0%.

Analysis on the Cause and Forecast Deviation of an Extreme Rainstorm in Changsha Urban Area

Using NCEP reanalysis data,high-altitude and ground observation data,numerical model data,satellite and radar data,formation cause and forecast deviation of an extreme rainstorm process in Changsha urban area at night on June 9,2020 were *** results showed that(1)the extreme rainstorm process developed near the surface convergence line,with strong localization,short duration and large hourly rainfall intensity.(2)Under the high temperature and high humidity environment,the low-level cold advection and the hot low-pressure system interacted,and the potential con-vective unstable energy was released,and a strong convective weather was formed.(3)The convergence of water vapor in the lower layer and the strong upward movement provided sufficient water vapor for the *** low-centroid thunderstorm was the main reason for the extreme rainstorm.(4)The forecast deviation of the numerical model to the low-level shear line and the mesoscale convergence line was an important reason for the forecast deviation of the heavy rainfall area.

Recent methodological advances in quantitative wood anatomy have provided new insights into the climatic responses of radial growth at the scale of cell structure of tree rings. This study considered long-term chronologies of tracheid measurements, indexed by a novel approach to separate their specific climatic responses from signal recorded in cell production(closely reflected in tree-ring width). To fill gaps in understanding the impact of climate on conifer xylem structure, Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)trees > 200 years old were selected within the forest-steppe zone in southern Siberia. Such habitats undergo mild moisture deficits and the resulting climatic regulation of growth processes. Mean and maximum values of cell radial diameter and cell wall thickness were recorded for each tree *** a low level of climatogenic stress, components of cell chronologies independent of cambial activity were separated to obtain significant climatic signals revealing the timing of the specific stages of tracheid differentiation. Cell expansion lasted from mid-April to July and was impacted similarly to tree-ring width(stimulated by precipitation and stressed by heat), maximum cell size formed late June. A switch in the climatic responses of mean anatomical traits indicated transition to latewood in mid-July. Secondary wall deposition lasted until mid-September, suppressed by end of season temperatures. Generally, anatomical climatic responses were modulated by a less dry May and September compared with summer months.

The forging stage of rail flash welding has a decisive influence on joint strength,and the study of the temperature distribution in the process has an important role in further improving joint *** this paper,three cal-culation methods for the temperature field are ***,the finite element model of the temperature field before forging rail flash welding is established by using the transient heat module of Ansys software and verified by infrared temperature ***,the temperature distribution of different parts of the rail before flash welding is obtained by using infrared thermal imaging ***,Matlab software is used to cal-culate the temperature of the non-measured ***,the temperature distribution function along the rail axis is fitted through the temperature measurement *** temperature distribution before the top forging of the rail flash welding can be used to analyze the joint and heat-affected zone organization and properties ef-fectively and to guide the parameter setting and industrial production.

Multi-scale validation strategy for satellite albedo products and its uncertainty analysis

Coarse-resolution satellite albedo products are important for climate change and energy balance research because of their capability to characterize the spatiotemporal patterns of land surface parameters at both the regional and global scales. The accuracy of coarse-resolution products is usually assessed via comparison with in situ measurements. The key issue in the comparison of remote sensing observations with in situ measurements is scaling and uncertainty. This paper presents a strategy for validating 1-km-resolution remote sensing albedo products using field measurements and high-resolution remote sensing observations. Field measurements were collected to calibrate the high-resolution(30 m) albedo products derived from HJ-1a/b images. Then, the calibrated high-resolution albedo maps were resampled(i.e., upscaled) to assess the accuracy of the coarse-resolution albedo products. The samples of field measurements and high-resolution pixels are based on an uncertainty analysis. Two types of coarse-resolution albedo datasets, from global land surface satellite(GLASS) and moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS), are validated over the middle reaches of the Heihe River in China. The results indicate that the upscaled HJ(Huan Jing means environment in Chinese and this refers to a satellite constellation designed for environment and disaster monitoring by China) albedo, which was calibrated using field measurements, can provide accurate reference values for validating coarse-resolution satellite albedo products. However, the uncertainties in the upscaled HJ albedo should be estimated, and pixels with large uncertainties should be excluded from the validation process.

Bone regeneration for large,critical-sized bone defects remains a clinical challenge *** bone regenera-tion(GBR)is a promising technique for the repair of multiple bone defects,which is widely used in oral and maxil-lofacial bone defects but is still unsatisfied in the treatment of long bone ***,we successfully fabricated a bilayer mineralized collagen/collagen(MC/Col)-GBR membrane with excellent osteoinductive and barrier function by coating the MC particles prepared via in situ biomimetic mineralization process on one side of a sheet-like pure collagen *** aim of the present study was to investigate the physicochemical properties and biological func-tions of the MC/Col film,and to further evaluate its bone regeneration efficiency in large bone defect ***-transform infrared spectra and X-ray diffraction patterns confirmed the presence of both hydroxyapatite and collagen phase in the MC/Col film,as well as the chemical interaction between *** microscope,scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscope showed the uniform distribution of MC particles in the MC/Col film,result-ing in a rougher surface compared to the pure Col *** quantitative analysis of surface contact angle,light trans-mittance and tensile strength demonstrated that the MC/Col film have better hydrophilicity,mechanical properties,light-barrier properties,*** vitro macrophage co-culture experiments showed that the MC/Col film can effectively inhibit macrophage proliferation and fusion,reducing fibrous capsule *** vivo bone repair assess-ment of a rabbit critical segmental radial defect proved that the MC/Col film performed better than other groups in promoting bone repair and regeneration due to their unique dual osteoinductive/barrier *** findings provided evidence that MC/Col film has a great clinical potential for effective bone defect repair.
