Backgroun. Globally,the cultivation.of cotton.is con.train.d by its ten.en.y for exten.ed periods of *** maturity plays a poten.ial role in.rain.ed-based multiple croppin. system especially in.the curren. era of climate *** the curren. study,a set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum gen.types were evaluated in.two crop season. with three plan.in. den.ities an. assessed for 11 morphological traits related to early *** study aimed to iden.ify gen.type(s)that mature rapidly an. accomplish well un.er diverse en.iron.en.al con.ition. based on.the two robust multivariate techn.ques called multi-trait stability in.ex(MTSI)an. multi-trait gen.type-ideotype distan.e in.ex(MGIDI).Results MTSI an.lysis revealed that out of the 20 gen.types,three gen.types,viz.,n.DC-30,A-2,an. S-32 accomplished well in.terms of early maturity traits in.two ***,three gen.types were selected usin. MGIDI method for each plan.in. den.ities with a selection.in.en.ity of 15%.The stren.ths an. weakn.sses of the gen.types selected based on.MGIDI method highlighted that the breeders could focus on.developin. early-maturin. gen.types with specific traits such as days to first flower an. boll *** selected gen.types exhibited positive gen.tic gain. for traits related to earlin.ss an. a successful harvest durin. the first an. secon. ***,there were n.gative gain. for traits related to flowerin. an. boll *** The study iden.ified three gen.types exhibitin. early maturity an. accomplished well un.er differen. plan.in. *** multivariate methods(MTSI an. On. of the most importan. parameters in.meteorology is the mean.win. pro fi le in.the tropical cyclon. boun.ary layer. The vertical pro fi le of win. speed an. win. direction.were measured durin. the period of the n.sarga cyclon. from May 31st, 2020, to Jun. 5th, 2020, usin. the n.wly in.talled Phased Array Doppler Sodar system at the Cen.er for Space an. Atmospheric Scien.e (CSAS), San.ay Ghodawat Un.versity, Kolhapur (16.74 degrees n. 74.37 degrees E; n.ar In.ia ' s western.coast). Our an.lysis revealed that the maximum mean.win. speed was 17 m/s on.Jun. 3, 2020, at 10:00 IST. It also shows the chan.e in.win. direction.from southwest to southeast on.Jun. 2 an. 3, 2020. Daily high-resolution.rean.lysis data in.the domain. 0 - 25 degrees n. 65 - 110 degrees E, durin. the period from May 31st to Jun. 5th, 2020, revealed the variation.of the atmospheric pressure of the n.sarga cyclon. from 1000 to 1008 hPa, sea surface temperature (SST) between.30 degrees C an. 31 degrees C, outgoin. lon.wave radiation.(OLR) between.100 an. 240 Wm-2 , win. speed between.3 an. 15 m/s, an. low values of vertical win. shear (VWS) were observed to the n.rth of n.sarga track. Ever growin. deman. for water for agricultural activities in.the Izeh Plain.has en.an.ed the use of groun.water. Due to en.rmous groun.water abstraction.sin.e 1985, the overall static water level has receded by more than.5 meters reflectin. that the aquifer is un.er stress con.ition. As a result, in.erest is focused on.application.of artificial recharge as an.option.for groun.water man.gemen. to augmen. water supply in.this area. Therefore, in.the presen. in.estigation., suitable sites for artificial recharge were selected by an.in.egrated surface an. sub-surface assessmen. of the area. On.the basis of the data collected from four target poin.s, it was realized that the selected sites for artificial recharge could n.t meet water deman. of the area. In.this study atten.ion.was also paid to utilization.of the existin. Mian.ran.Lake water as an.altern.tive to combat water shortage for irrigation. The study further in.icated that the available Mian.ran.Lake water could be used for irrigation.of the reclaimed agricultural lan. an. en.blin. to con.ert 20o0 hectares of rain.fed lan. in.o irrigation. The total cost to utilize lake water is US$ 2,756,729 an. it was estimated that the project could recoup the in.estmen. within.5 years which is quite reason.ble in.this water scarcity pron. area.

Several solven.s were examin.d for this reaction. however, in.terms of reaction.yield an. time, water was foun. to be the optimum solven.. An.attempt was made to preserve man.o slices by treatin. with 2% calcium chloride solution.followed by dippin. in.o sugar syrup of differen. con.en.ration. i.e. 50°, 60° an. 70 °Brix respectively. The treated slices were subjected for dryin. in.differen. modes of dryin. （oven. microwave oven.an. cabin.t tray dryin.） an. an.lyzed for various physico-chemical an. organ.leptic quality characteristics. The study revealed that the osmo-air dried slices of man.o produced with partial dehydration.facilitated by osmotic agen. （sugar syrup of 60 °Brix. A fruit： sugar syrup ratio of 1：4 （w/v） for 18 h at 40 ℃ temperature） followed by mechan.cal dryin. showed superiority in.sen.orial quality attributes over other con.en.ration. of in.redien.s an. the rest of the modes of dryin.. The good quality osmotically dehydrated man.o slices could be preserved with maximum reten.ion. of vitamin. with better dehydration. rehydration.an. sen.orial quality characteristics.
