This article examines the complex relationship between disease perception,negative emotions,and their impact on postoperative recovery in patients with perianal *** conditions not only cause physical discomfort,but also carry a significant emotional burden,often exacerbated by social ***-logical factors,including stress,anxiety,and depression,activate neuroendocrine pathways,such as the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis,disrupting the gut microbiota and leading to *** disruption can delay wound healing,prolong hospital stay,and intensify *** on the findings of Hou et al,our article highlights the critical role of illness perception and negative emotions in shaping recovery *** advocates for a holistic approach that integrates psychological support and gut microbiota modulation,to enhance healing and improve overall patient outcomes.

The use of systems theory to attempt to determine which ＂place in La Mancha＂ was the one whose name Cervantes could not quite recall in his universal novel, appears to be ordained to change certain attitudes towards science held in Cervanfine literature. The reason： after four centuries of literary analysis, systemic methodology has proven able to identify the famous ＂place＂ with acceptable accuracy. Nonetheless, certain reasonable doubts persist around the suitability of a strictly scientific analysis of literature. In light of those doubts, the present article aims primarily to facilitate critique both of the systemic approach adopted and its outcome.

This work has two main purposes：（i） introducing the basic concepts of molecular dynamics analysis to material scientists and engineers, and （ii） providing a better understanding of instrumented indentation measurements, presenting an example of nanoindentation and scratch test simulations. To reach these purposes, three-dimensional molecular dynamics （MD） simulations of nanoindentation and scratch test technique were carried out for generic thin films that present BCC crystalline structures. Structures were oriented in the plane （100） and placed on FCC diamond substrates. A pair wise potential was employed to simulate the interaction between atoms of each layer and a repulsive radial potential was used to represent a spherical tip indenting the sample. Mechanical properties of this generic material were obtained by varying the indentation depth and dissociation energy. The load-unload curves and coefficient of friction were found for each test; on the other hand, dissociation energy was varied showing a better mechanical response for films that present grater dissociation energy. Structural change evolution was observed presenting vacancies and slips as the depth was varied.

Given a significative class F of commutative rings, we study the precise conditions under which a commutative ring R has an S-envelope. A full answer is obtained when F is the class of fields, semisimple commutative rings or integral domains. When .F is the class of Noetherian rings, we give a full answer when the Krull dimension of R is zero and when the envelope is required to be epimorphic. The general problem is reduced to identifying the class of non-Noetherian rings having a monomorphic Noetherian envelope, which we conjecture is the empty class.

A new short-term optimal control of air quality in an industrial region during atmospheric inversions is *** goal is to prevent violation of health standard of air quality in a few monitored *** control establishes restrictions on the emission rates of industrial sources and includes the identification of the industrial sources violating(exceeding)the emission rates set by the *** control and identification are based on using solutions to an adjoint dispersion *** that show the convergence of the emission rates,prescribed by the control,to the original emission rates of the industrial sources are given(Theorems 4 and 5).These results ensure that the new emission rates of industrial sources(established by the control)will be as close as possible to the original emission rates throughout the entire period of application of the *** creates the minimum possible restrictions on the functioning of industrial *** highlight of the new control is the possibility of selecting special weights for each pollution source in the goal function that is *** weights are mainly aimed at reducing the intensity of emissions of the main sources of *** example demonstrates the ability of the new method.A similar approach can also be used to develop methods for cleaning water zones polluted by oil(the problem of bioremediation),and to prevent excessive pollution of urban areas with automobile emissions.

Although the degree of mate competition, given extreme differences in sex ratio, explains much of the pattern of male-biased size dimorphism among diverse taxa, it fails for some species which have potential for intense male competition for mates and yet exhibit little or no sexual size dimorphism （SSD）. This fact suggest that species with low SSD should be express the effect of evolutionary pressure in non-obvious geometrical shape promoted by sex ratio in an evolutionary time scale. To evaluate this hypothesis we used phylogenetic comparative method in a Bayesian framework to investigate the evolution of SSD and the role of sex ratio at inter-specific level in the species of Ceroglossus （Coleoptera： Carabidae）. In our results the proportion farthest from 1：1 is associated with more disparate body shape, even though the entire group has minimum variation in sex ratio, which is an intrinsic life history character of this group considering its phylogenetic conservatism or phylogenetic signal. We suggest that the sex ratio has determined the dimorphism degree during evolution of this group, since both traits have increased or decreased together during the species divergence （i.e. positive phylogenetic correlation： r2=0.85）. We suggest that morphological studies of SSD will benefit from using comparative method with Bayesian approaches to assess the effect of phylogenetic history and its uncertainty. Finally, this will be allow to researchers to quantify the uncertainty of specific evolutionary hypotheses accounting for observed sexual dimorphism patterns.

Wood is mainly made up of cellulose, hemicelluloses, lignin polymers and other organic and inorganic substances, making it susceptible to deteriorate by various biological agents. Tectona grandis L.f. (Teak) is a timberspecies with high resistance to biological deterioration, valued for its durability, beauty, and mechanical *** purpose of this work was to evaluate the antifungal activity of crude extracts from teak on various fungi thatcause wood deterioration. For this, Teak heartwood was obtained, then fragmented and pulverized until obtaininga flour which was used for compounds extraction using the Soxhlet technique coupled to a rotary evaporatorthrough solvents of increasing polarity (hexane, dichloromethane, tetrahydrofuran, and acetone). The extractsobtained were tested against fungal organisms collected in the field, and the LC50 was determined using teak crudeextracts on Artemia salina as a biological model. The results obtained showed that a high flour yield was obtainedwith hexane (0.951 g), followed by tetrahydrofuran (0.446 g), dichloromethane (0.348 g), and acetone (0.152 g). Byusing nine fungal organisms that predominantly correspond to the genus Aspergillus, the extractable compoundswere tested, inhibiting 25% of mycelial growth with tetrahydrofuran (T. versicolor), and 40.9% with dichloromethane(G. trabeum). Likewise, the biological model of A. salina showed an LC50 of 84.9 μg/mL with hexane, 43.3 μg/mLwith dichloromethane, 59.6 μg/mL with tetrahydrofuran, and 54.7 μg/mL with acetone. For this reason, it is concluded that Teak wood contains many extractable compounds in relation to its weight, besides having antimicrobialactivity when extracted through polar compounds such as dichloromethane and tetrahydrofuran.

Patent foram ovale(PFo)is the most common anatomical cause of an interarterial *** is usually asymptomatic but may cause paradoxical embolism and is a risk factor for non-lacunar cryptogenic cerebral ischemia in young *** the first clinical trials did not show a significant superiority of PFo closure in the secondary prevention of cerebral ischemia as compared with standard antithrombotic treatment,six subsequent randomized clinical trials(CLoSURE I,PC Trial,RESPECT,CLoSE,REDUCE,and DEFENSE-PFo)performed in a sample of cryptogenic stroke in patients aged 60 years or younger provided evidence of a significant reduction of recurrent cerebral ischemia after percutaneous PFo ***,the use of percutaneous PFo closure cannot be generalized to the entire population of patients with cerebral ischemia and PFo,but it is indicated in highly selected patients with non-lacunar cryptogenic cerebral infarction with a large right-to-left shunt,an atrial septal aneurysm and no evidence of atrial fibrillation,as well as in association with antithrombotic treatment for an optimal secondary prevention of cerebral ischemia.

A multi-fingered robotic hand with curved fingertips enables contact re-positioning without reattaching at the expense of fingertip rolling. This rolling stands for a characteristic that facilitates dexterous manipulation but results in an algebraically complex dynamic model subject to such constraints. The hemispherical shape of fingertips allows a dexterous manipulation when controlling the tangent forces, which are essential to rotate object. However, the measurement of the object angle in practice requires tactile-optical sensing. In this paper, considering robotic fingers with curved soft tips, we propose a feedback control that ensures optimal dynamical grasping of a circular rigid object. It is shown that the collaboration of the contact forces, to get a minimum pose of internal forces, and the tangential forces, to induce the conditions for assuring the grasp closure, is necessary to get a skillful manipulation. In this case, the orientation control of a circular object to the desired angle while avoiding direct measurement of the object angle is presented. Stability conditions of the system are presented in the sense of stability-in-the-manifold. Finally, representative simulations are shown and discussed.
