Comprehensive summary Herein,we present a facile synthesis of amide-type water-soluble fullerene derivatives decorated with five residues of amino *** compared to the previously developed approaches,the proposed method enables usage of a broad range of amino acids,including those unstable under Friedel-Crafts reaction ***,it is fully tolerant to the nature of the sixth addend X in C60R5X precursor compounds and allows one to obtain fullerene derivatives with X=Cl,H,*** synthesized amide-type water-soluble fullerene derivatives demonstrated promising antiviral activities against rimantadine-resistant influenzaА/puerto Rico/8/34(Н1N1)virus in vitro.

The study examined the adsorption of pb（II） ions from aqueous solution onto chitosan, chitosan-GLA and chitosan-alginate beads. several important parameters influencing the adsorption of pb（II） ions such as initial pH, adsorbent dosage and different initial concentration of pb（II） ions were evaluated. The mechanism involved during the adsorption process was explored based on ion exchange study and using spectroscopic techniques. The adsorption capacities obtained based on non–linear Langmuir isotherm for chitosan, chitosan-GLA and chitosan-alginate beads in single metal system were 34.98, 14.24 and 60.27 mg/g, respectively. However, the adsorption capacity of pb（II） ions were reduced in the binary metal system due to the competitive adsorption between pb（II） and Cu（II） ions. Based on the ion exchange study, the release of Ca2＋, Mg2＋, K＋ and Na＋ ions played an important role in the adsorption of pb（II） ions by all three adsorbents but only at lower concentrations of pb（II） ions. Infrared spectra showed that the binding between pb（II） ions and the adsorbents involved mostly the nitrogen and oxygen atoms. All three adsorbents showed satisfactory adsorption capacities and can be considered as an efficient adsorbent for the removal of pb（II） ions from aqueous solutions.

There exists a great need for the development of high performance alloys due to increasing demands for energy conservation and environmental protection. Application of strip casting shows a strong potential for the improvement of properties of existing alloys and also for the development of novel alloy systems with superior properties. The present paper reviews our Center's activities in the development of high performance alloys by strip casting. Examples include (1) Al alloys, (2) wrought Mg alloys, and (3) bulk metallic glass (BMG) alloys.

We argue that in Universes where future and past differ only by the entropy content a psychological arrow of time pointing in the direction of entropy increase can arise from natural selection in biological evolution. We show that this effect can be demonstrated in very simple toy computer simulations of evolution in an entropy increasing or decreasing environment.

Objective:To report our experience with supracostal percutaneous nephrolithotomy(sC-pNL)and evaluate factors which could predict the risk of hydrothorax following ***:We reviewed 347 patients who underwent sC-pNL from January 2011 to December *** were assessed for demographic characteristics,indication for the supracostal access,level of supracostal access,anatomy of the kidney(normal or malrotated),site of the puncture in relation to the mid-scapular line(medial or lateral),and whether another subcostal tract for stone clearance was required or *** were assessed for the incidence of hydrothorax and requirement of intercostal drain depending on the level of percutaneous *** addition,a multivariable logistic regression analysis model was developed to identify factors which could predict the occurrence of hydrothorax following ***:Of the 347 patients with sC-pNL,248(71.5%)underwent a supra-12th rib approach,while the rest needed a supra-11th(n=85;24.5%)or a supra-10th(n=14;4.0%)rib ***,17(4.9%)patients developed a hydrothorax,while an intercostal-drain was required in seven of these 17 patients for 48 *** of the patients with a supra-12th rib puncture required an *** than a third of the patients with a supra-10th puncture developed a hydrothorax(35.7%)and all of them required an intercostal *** such as anteriorly malrotated kidney(odds ratio[OR]=2.722;95%confidence interval[CI]=1.042-5.617,p=0.03),puncture medial to the mid-scapular line(OR=1.669;CI=0.542-1.578,p=0.03),and an access higher than the supra-12th level(OR=5.265;CI=1.292-9.342,pproved to be independent predictors of hydrothorax following a sC-pCNL on multivariable ***:Incidence of clinically significant hydrothorax requiring an intercostal-drain after sC-pNL is very *** of the predicting factors will help to anticipate the risk of hydrothorax in a particular patient and take necessary p

This study aimed to evaluate the development of healthcare teamwork during and after the collaboration tabletop exercises,through observation and interview *** and maturity theoretical models were employed to explain the collaborative challenges in teams that may suffer from unequally distributed power,hierarchies,and *** three-level collaboration tabletop exercises and the Command and control,safety,Communication,Assessment,Treatment,Triage,Transport(CsCATTT)instrument,100 healthcare workers were observed during each step in the implementation of the CsCATTT instrument using two simulated *** results show a lack of integration and team maturity among participants in the first scenario,leading to the delayed start of the activity,task distribution,and decision *** shortcomings were improved in the second ***-depth interviews with 20 participants in the second phase of the study revealed improved knowledge and practical skills,self-confidence,and ability in team building within trans-professional groups in the second scenario,which in concordance with the integration theory,was due to the attempts made in the first ***,there was an improvement in the team’s maturity,which in concordance with the maturity theory,was due to the knowledge and practical skills during scenario *** results indicate the importance of continuous tabletop training,and the use of CsCATTT as a collaborative instrument,to promote the development of collaboration and to test the concept of preparedness.

In order to improve the performances of electroplating permanent magnetic films, neodymium is introduced into the electroplating CoNiMnp permanent magnetic films. The influences of the neodymium content are also investigated by varying NdCl3 plating bath concentration. The neodymium-doped films are analyzed by energy dispersive spectrum (EDs), vibrating sample magnetometer (VsM) and magnetic force microscope (MFM). The experimental results show that high magnetic performances of CoNdNiMnp permanent magnetic films with vertical anisotropy could be fabricated with current density 5mA/cm2 at room temperature. With the increasing of neodymium contents, the magnetic properties of films were improved. However when neodymium contents exceeded 3.5wt%, the magnetic properties of films are not improved any more. The increase of film magnetic properties results from the ferromagnetic-coupling between light rare earth element-neodymium and transition metal element-cobalt.

salmonella enterica serovar 4,[5],12:i:-(s.4,[5],12:i:-)is a monophasic variant of salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium that has emerged as a global serovar causing public health *** date,the epidemiology and genomic characterization of this pathogen in China have not been well *** investigated the prevalence,antimicrobial resistance(AMR)phenotypes,and population genomics of sequence type 34(sT34)s.4,[5],12:i:-among cases of human salmonellosis in Henan province,China.A total of 100 sT34 s.4,[5],12:i:-isolates were studied from 2008 to 2017 and found mostly resistant to ampicillin(AMp),streptomycin(sTR),sulfonamides(sUL),and tetracycline(TET)(Assu T).Bayesian phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that isolates identified in China were mostly related to the European lineage and evolved into two major clades with different resistance genes and plasmid ***,clade 1 showed a significantly higher rate of mutations in gyr A and plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance *** carrying of the resistance-containing region(encoding R-type Assu T),including bla(conferring resistance to AMp),str AB(sTR),sul2(sUL),and tet(B)(TET)inserted into the flj BA operon,was responsible for most of the monophasic variants in clade *** HI2 plasmids were the dominant multi-drug resistance mobile genetic elements accounting for the transmission of acquired resistance genes in this serovar,and these were more prevalent in clade *** findings highlighted the increasing prevalence of multi-drug resistant s.4,[5],12:i:-in China,along with the differential characteristics of resistance gene acquisition among various *** on our data,control measures are required to address the spread of this zoonotic *** owing to its potential origin in food-producing animals,a"One Health"approach,should be implemented to support surveillance whilst informing interventional strategies.
