Traditionally,medicinal plants of family Moringaceae have been well-recognized due to their multipurpose utilization in various fields such as treatment of several diseases for they have a broad range of pharmacological activities,in wastewater treatment as well as food *** of this medicinal plants and its bioactivity study discloses the presence of several phytoconstituents and secondary metabolites like terpenes,flavonoids,steroids,phenolic compounds,tannins,carohydrates,flavonoids,vitamins and *** results of bioactivity study results revealed that different extracts such as aqueous,methanolic and ethanolic of Moringa oleifera showed notable therapeutic *** present review explore and focus on the phytochemical composition and various pharmacological activities like immunomodulator,antidiabetic,antiulcer,anthelmintic,anti-inflammatory,antipyretic,analgesic,antiepileptic,cardioprotective,lipid lowering,antihypertensive,hepatoprotective,anti-nephrotoxicity and anti-microbial activities to arouse public consciousness about the nutritional and medicinal value of this"miracle tree-Moringa oleifera"in favor of humanity.

Sonar generated acoustic signals transmitted in underwater channel for distant communications are affected by numerous factors like ambient noise, making them nonlinear and non-stationary in nature. In recent years, the application of Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD) technique to analyze nonlinear and non-stationary signals has gained much attention. It is an empirical approach to decompose a signal into a set of oscillatory modes known as intrinsic mode functions(IMFs). In general, Hilbert transform is used in EMD for the identification of oscillatory signals. In this paper a new EMD algorithm is proposed using FFT to identify and extract the acoustic signals available in the underwater channel that are corrupted due to various ambient noises over a range of 100 Hz to 10 kHz in a shallow water region. Data for analysis are collected at a depth of 5 m and 10 m offshore Chennai at the Bay of Bengal. The algorithm is validated for different sets of known and unknown reference signals. It is observed that the proposed EMD algorithm identifies and extracts the reference signals against various ambient noises. Significant SNR improvement is also achieved for underwater acoustic signals.

Influence of suspension stability on wet grinding for production of mineral nanoparticles

Grinding behavior of nanoparticles in an attritor mill and the minimum achievable particle size are strongly influenced by the suspension stability. In the present work, suspension stability （i.e. ξ-potential） of nanoparticles was studied by measuring pH as a function of grinding time in the wet milling process. It was found that after a certain time in an attritor mill, there is no further size reduction and the average product particle size increases monotonically. One of the reasons is that the production of submicron particles leads to more particle-particle interactions and consequently pH of the suspension decreases with grinding time. Usually pH value is related to suspension stability and it can be enhanced by addition of NaOH solution. The maximum negative ξ-potential of -51.2 mV was obtained at pH of 12 for silica. The higher the ξ-potential with the same polarity, higher will be the electrostatic repulsion between the particles. Hence, the maximum electrostatic repulsion force was maintained by the adjustment ofpH value in wet milling. The experiments were conducted at different pH conditions which were maintained constant throughout the experiments and nanosized particles were obtained consequently.

Bioactive materials obtained from plant bio-resources offer immense attention for development and production of nanotechnology enabled products for biomedical *** the present study,Ficus hispida leaf extract(FHLE)was used as a stabilising agent for the environmentally benign synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles(ZnO-Nps)which were investigated for prospective versatile applications(anticancer and photocatalytic activities).The formation of ZnO-Nps was confirmed by UV–visible ***(hexagonal)form of the herb-assisted synthesised ZnO-Nps with particle size ranging from 20 to 200 nm was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)*** vitro analysis was carried out against Dalton's lymphoma ascites(DLA)cell lines by trypan blue assay,the results revealed 96%inhibition at concentration of 200μg ml-1,and the photodegradation experiments carried out for degradation of Congo red revealed complete degradation of the dye after 70 min of exposure to UV light.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the free radical scavenging potential and high performance thin layer chromatography （HpTLC） fingerprinting of Indigofem tinctoria （I. tinctoria）, phytochemical analysis was carried out using standard methods, and free radical scavenging activity of the plant was determined using 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazy （DppH）, nitric oxide （NO） and superoxide anion （O2-） radical scavenging capacities. HpTLC plate was kept in CAMAG TLC Scanner 3 and the Rf values at fin- gerprint data were recorded by WlNCATS software, Aqueous extract of I. tinctoria reliably showed the total phenolics （267.2 ± 2.42 mg/g）, flavonoids （75.43 ± 3.36 mg/g） and antioxidants （349.11 ±8.04 mg/g）. The extract was found to have DppH （52.08%）, NO （23.12%） and 02 （26.79%） scavenging activities at the concentration of 250 pg/mL and the results were statistically significant compared with ascorbic acid standard （p 〈 0.05）. HpTLC results confirmed that the extract contained several potential active com- ponents such as phenols, flavonoids, saponins and terpenoids as the slides revealed multi-colored bands of varying intensities. This study confirmed that the plant had multipotential antioxidant and free ra- dicals scavenging activities.

Wireless Sensor Networks are composed of autonomous sensing devices which are interconnected to form a closed *** closed network is intended to share sensitive location-centric information from a source node to the base station through efﬁcient routing *** efﬁciency of the sensor node is energy bounded,acts as a concentrated area for most researchers to offer a solution for the early draining power of *** management plays a signiﬁcant role in wireless sensor networks,which was obsessed with the factors like the reliability of the network,resource management,energy-efﬁcient routing,and scalability of *** topology of the wireless sensor networks acts dri-ven factor for network efﬁciency which can be effectively maintained by perform-ing the clustering process *** solutions and clustering algorithms have been offered by various researchers,but the concern of reduced efﬁciency in the routing process and network management still *** research paper offers a hybrid algorithm composed of a memetic algorithm which is an enhanced version of a genetic algorithm integrated with the adaptive hill-climbing algorithm for performing energy-efﬁcient clustering process in the wireless sensor *** memetic algorithm employs a local searching methodology to mitigate the premature convergence,while the adaptive hill-climbing algorithm is a local search algorithm that persistently migrates towards the increased elevation to determine the peak of the mountain(i.e.,)best cluster head in the wireless sensor *** proposed hybrid algorithm is compared with the state of art clus-tering algorithm to prove that the proposed algorithm outperforms in terms of a network life-time,energy consumption,throughput,etc.
