In this work,neodymium substituted gadolinium-cobalt ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized by hydrothermal *** significant role of doping both the Nd3+and Gd3+ions to cobalt ferrite in manipulating the cation distribution and further in influencing structural and magnetic properties was experimentally studied and *** influence of Nd3+substitution was investigated with step of 0.02-0.1 into the optimized Gd-Co *** crystal structure formation and crystallite size were explored by X-ray diffraction analysis in which the crystallite size and lattice constant decrease with increasing the Nd3+*** microstructural properties were studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy *** obtained structural and morphological results reveal that the substitution of Nd3+with more than 0.06 into the Gd-Co ferrites will change the material be havior and *** saturation magnetization and coercivity values were measured using a vibration sample magnetometer at room *** microwave absorption experiments demonstrate that the reflection loss properties enhance with increasing substitution of Nd3+cations in Gd-Co ferrite spinel *** research reports that the as-prepared Nd3+substituted Gd-Co ferrite compound stands as promising candidate for absorbing electromagnetic wave with a wider absorbing bandwidth of X-band.

In recent years,special attention has been given to the effects of underground spaces and structures on the seismic response of adjacent ***,to the best of the authors′knowledge,no method has yet been considered to reduce these effects in technical *** present study aims to investigate the role of geofoam as the cover material in cut and cover tunnels on the seismic response of the ground *** this purpose,a numerical study was performed using FLAC 2D,a finite difference software,and verified against previous *** effects of parameters such as the geofoam type,thickness of the geofoam blocks and interfaces between the blocks,on the ground surface amplification pattern were *** studies demonstrate that the geofoam has a strong potential to attenuate the seismic horizontal movements of the ground *** the thickness of the geofoam blocks is decreased,its attenuation ability is *** was also determined that the interface between the geofoam blocks plays a key role in the attenuation of the aboveground seismic *** on the results,it was concluded that geofoam is a proper material to attenuate seismic amplifications at the ground surface,induced by underground tunnels.

Ohjective:To assess molecular characterization,distribution,seasonal activities of sandfly species and Leishmania parasites infecting them for this zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis ***:The collections were carried out in 2009-2011 using CDC traps,Sticky papers and manual aspirator in and around the villages in Abarkouh *** sandflies were characterized by pCR amplification and sequencing of fragments of their mitochondrial cytochrome b *** parasite infections within sandflies were performed by targeting Cyt b,ITS-rDNA,k-DNA and microsatellite ***:The pCR assays detected only Leishmania major(***).All infections(30)were found in the abundant and widespread vector phlebolomus papalasi(***).Small numbers of other sandfly species were also screened for infections,but none was *** sinloni and *** were the predominant members in all locations of this district and in all habitats throughout the trapping *** five other sandfly species were found,namely phlebolomus ansari,phlebotomus caucasicus,phlebotomus sergenti,Sergentomyia dentata and Sergentomyia ***:In the current survey,the only infections detected are of *** in females of ***(30 out of190).The rates of infection of *** by *** are not significantly different in compare with other locations in Iran with no diversity of parasite *** cutaneous leishmaniasis may have emerged only recently in Abarkouh district,and the reason may well be the instability of the transmission cycles there.

A new material tailoring method for spherical and cylindrical vessels made of functionally graded materials (FGMs) is *** is assumed that the FG material is composed of an A1-SiC metallic-matrix composite.A uniform ratio of inplane shear stress to yield strength [φ(r)] is used as the design criterion to utilize the maximum capacity of the *** aim is to find a distribution of SiC particles in the radial direction,i.e.,f(r),that achieves a uniform index φ(r) =const,through the wall thickness of the internally pressurized spherical or cylindrical *** the Mori-Tanaka and rule-of-mixtures homogenization schemes are used to express the effective elastic module and poisson's ***,the strength of the composite is expressed based on the rule of ***,finite element simulation is carried out to verify the accuracy of the analytical *** effects of input parameters such as the internal pressure,strength of the SiC particles,ratio of in-plane shear stress to effective yield strength,and choice of homogenization scheme on the tailored distribution of the SiC volume fraction in the radial direction are also investigated.

Effect of salts and their interaction with ingenious surfactants on the interfacial tension of crude oil/ionic solution

Understanding the roles of asphaltene and resin as natural surfactants existed in crude oil can enlighten contradicting reported results regarding interfacial tension(IFT) of crude oil/aqueous solution as a function of salinity and ion type. In this way, this study is aimed to investigate the effect of these natural surface active agents on IFT of with special focus on SO4^2-anion and Mg^2+cation. Two different synthetic oil solutions of 8 wt% of the extracted asphaltene and resin dissolved in toluene are prepared, and then IFT values are measured. After that,the obtained results are compared with the IFT of intact crude oil in contact with the same saline solutions examined in the previous stage. The obtained results showed a synergistic effect of Na2SO4+ MgCl2 solution unlike the MgSO4+ MgCl2 and CaSO4+ MgCl2 solutions on IFT reduction of resin at MgCl2 concentration of 15000 mg·kg^-1. In summary, it is found that the affinity of asphaltene molecules towards the interface of oleic phase/ionic solution leads to higher IFT variation.

This study aims at evaluating the performance of thiamine as a new eco-friendly shale inhibitor in water-based drilling fluids(WBDFs).The evaluation experiments include sedimentation,bentonite inhibition,filtration,zeta potential,thermal gravimetric analysis,scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,shale cuttings recovery,linear swelling and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).The performance of thiamine was compared to potassium *** contrast to deionized water,the aqueous solution of thiamine exhibited greater power to inhibit montmorillonite(Mt)dispersion,much more Mt loading capacity(280 g/L)and fluid loss,lower Mt mass loss,larger aggregated Mt particles,lower interlayer space of the Mt particles,less shale cuttings disintegration and lower linear *** of thiamine on Mt led to a significant shift in the value of zeta potential(from-17.1 to+8.54 mV).Thiamine demonstrated superior inhibitive performance than potassium *** analysis confirmed that thiamine is adsorbed on Mt *** compatibility test revealed the compatibility of thiamine with conventional WBDF *** was concluded that the main probable inhibition mechanisms of thiamine are the cation exchange and Mt surface *** view of its prominent inhibition capacity and great environmental acceptability,thiamine is a promising inhibitor for drilling in water-sensitive formations.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Hemoheal cream,an anti-hemorrhoid herbal preparation,(inspired by persian medicine literatures in a double-blind,randomized placebo-controlled ***:Hemoheal cream consists of aqueous extract of Allium ampeloprasum L.,Commiphora mukul(*** Stocks)Engl and the oil of Sesamum indicum ***-two patients with symptomatic hemorrhoids were randomized to receive hemoheal cream or placebo for 3 *** patients were evaluated before and after the intervention in terms of the severity of anal irritation,bleeding,anal itching,pain,defecation discomfort and swelling sense,and overall subjective improvement(%),as well as any reported adverse ***:The results showed that after 3 weeks of treatment,distribution of anal irritation,bleeding,pain as well as swelling sense were significantly different(pps for anal itching and defecation discomfort(p>0.05).Furthermore,a significant difference was observed between the overall subjective improvement of Hemoheal cream and placebo groups(p=0.012).One patient in the treatment group complained of rashes on the application ***:The present study showed a positive effect of Hemoheal cream in improving clinical signs and symptoms in patients with hemorrhoids.

A simple technique for achieving a stable, room temperature and multi-wavelength lasing with narrow linewidth is demonstrated using Brillouin ber laser （BFL） with a 100-m-long photonic crystal ber （pCF） in conjunction with a dual-pass configuration. A broadband ber Bragg grating （FBG） operating in the C-band region is incorporated at the end side of the setup to allow a dual-pass operation. The proposed BFL can operate at any wavelength depending on the Brillouin pump wavelength and the FBG＇s reflection region used. With a Brillouin pump （Bp） of 15.7 dBm, approximately 7 Stokes and 4 anti-Stokes lines are obtained with a line spacing of 0.08 nm.
