Recovery of heavy metals from electroplating sludge and stainless steel pickle waste liquid by ammonia leaching method

A coordinative disposal p.o.ess for treatment of electroplating sludge and stainless steel pickle waste liquid containing Cu, Ni, Zn, Cr and Fe etc., has been developed to recover valuable metals and to eliminate pollution. The recovery of Cu, Ni, Zn and Cr is 94%, 91%, 90% and 95%, respectively. The ammonia was recycled by the simplified p.o.ess of Cao caustic distillation. The precipitated p.o.uct of Cu, Ni and Zn obtained from caustic distillation of ammonia was separated by extraction or high\|pressure hydrogen reduction in an autoclave. The qualified metal salt p.o.ucts were obtained through extraction. The rich chromium residue from coordinative disposal was subjected to recover Cr by hydrothermal oxidation in NaoH medium and Fe\-3o\-4 was synthesized by wet methods from the residue p.o.uced by extracting Cr. Cr was a stable chemical fixed in Fe\-3o\-4 and harmless. The recovery p.o.ess has been used in a pilot plant with sludge p.o.uction capacity of 2000 t/a.

Adopted for some small-size short range surface-to-air missiles and antitank guided missiles is a single-channel control method of making missile rotating around its longitudinal axis. In hardware-in-the-loop simulations of the guidance and control system for these kinds of spinning missiles, imp.o.er use of special simulation equipment and test method will cause significant errors, even lead to failure of the simulation. In this article, the author gives an analysis of the causes of significant errors and failure of the simulation, and puts forward a solution, which is imp.o.ed workable in making the hardward-in-the-loop simulation successful.

The embedded atom method (EAM) was used to study the order-disorder transformation in gamma -TiAl alloy with L1(0). structure at stoichiometrical composition, and the effect of lattice constants was also investigated. It was found that the gamma -TiAl alloy at stoichiometrical composition exhibits a second-order transition, and the relations between lattice constants a, c and the long-range order sigma are not linear. The lattice constant a decreases whereas c increases with the increase of the long-range order parameter. In this case the ordering induces the transformation from cubic to tetragonal. The change of the lattice constant during the ordering p.o.esses can be interpreted in terms of bond length.

A computer p.o.ram is developed to simulate a two-step smelting-reduction p.o.ess. Laws of thermodynamics, kinetics, iron-oxide reduction, energy balance, materials balance and transfer of heat and mass between metal, slag and gas are taken into account for development of the model. Local equilibria between metal and slag according to the quadratic formalism of the regular solution model is considered. Dissolution of iron and its oxides in the molten slag and eat transfer from post combustion gases to the molten bath are numerically analyzed. The model is able to evaluate the effect of all important variables on p.o.uctivity and effectiveness of the p.o.ess. Special attention is paid to the operational conditions of the reduction furnace while working with the gases coming from a smelter with a high post-combustion ratio and a high reducing-power p.o.uced through reforming of the off-gases of the smelter with a natural gas stream in order to minimize the total energy consumption and to maximize the *** application of the model to optimize the behavior of a two stage smelting-reduction system is investigated.

Trust region (TR) algorithms are a class of recently developed algorithms for nonlinear optimization. A new family of TR algorithms for unconstrained optimization, which is the extension of the usual TR method, is presented in this paper. When the objective function is bounded below and continuously, differentiable, and the norm of the Hesse app.o.imations increases at most linearly with the iteration number, we p.o.e the global convergence of the algorithms. Limited numerical results are reported, which indicate that our new TR algorithm is competitive.

In order to prepare silicon carbide with high p.o.erties, three kinds of SiC powders A, B, and C with different composition and two kinds of additives, which were Y2o3-A12o3 system and Y2o3-La2o3 system, were used in this experiment. The p.o.erties of hot-pressed SiC ceramics were measured. With the same additives, different SiC powder resulted in different p.o.erties. on the other hand, with the same SiC powder, increasing the amount of the additive Y2o3Al2o3 imp.o.ed p.o.erties of SiC ceramics at room temperature, and increasing the amount of the additive Y2o3-La2o3 imp.o.ed p.o.erty SiC ceramics at elevated temperature. In addition. the microstructure of SiC ceramics was studied by scanning electron microscopy.

This paper presents a simple method of forming sum and difference patterns with adaptivenulls. The effects on the sidelobe level and the pointing null of difference pattern by adaptive null areanalyzed. The result that the increment value of the envelope of the sidelobe level under the effect ofa null is less than l.6dB is p.o.ed. The formula about shift value of the pointing null which is thefunction of the jammer direction and array parameters is given in the paper.

The aqueous solutions of poly(e-cap.o.actone-co-lactide)-poly(ethylene glycol)poly(e-cap.o.actone-co-lactide) undergoing sol-gel transition as the temperature increases from 20 to 50℃were successfully prepared. The thermogelling triblock copolymers were synthesized by subtle tuning of the chemical composition and the hydrophilicity/hydrop.o.icity balance. The sol-gel transition was studied focusing on structure-p.o.erty relationship. The amphiphilic copolymer formed micelles in aqueous solutions. It is believed to have potential applications in drug delivery and tissue engineering.
