This paper deals with the assessment of the local conditions that control the nucleation of cracks around slip ***,the surface topography and the deformation localization are examined for a large structural variety of an under-aged Ni-based alloy with Atomic Force Microscopy and Transmission Electron Microscopy *** is highlighted that the increase of the shearable precipitate size d induced a progressive transformation of shear bands（SBs） to persistent slip bands（pSBs）.SBs are progressively transformed to pSBs when the variance associated with height emergence of deformation bands decreased and when the local irreversible plastic strain accumulated in the band yirr,pl,loc ***,surface analyses showed that the occurrence of crack nucleation happens only with the attainment of a critical value of yirr,pl,lo for which is an increasing function of the band thickness *** last parameter is an internal length scale important to consider in diffusion of vacancies in accordance with Repetto’s model of crack initiation.

In this paper, a transmission system based on OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technique and channel estimation is proposed. The idea is to enhance the assisted channel estimation without data rate loss. A solution based on frequency diversity is proposed. With the same number of pilots, the global system performances are better for higher mobility speed. The main results will be presented in the case of high mobility context.

＜正＞ Since 1988, RILEM has been seeking to establish universally applicable test methods for assessing the alkali-reactivity potential of aggregates. Technical committee TC 106 （1988-2000） published two expansion tests （AAR-2 ＆ AAR-3）, following international trials, and started to develop two further procedures, for petrographic examination （AAR-1） and an ultra-accelerated concrete method （AAR-4）, together with an integrated assessment scheme （AAR-0）. Successor committee TC 191-ARp （formed in 2000）, comprising members from all parts of the world, has now finalised and published procedures AAR-0 and AAR-1 and has carried out international trials on AAR-4 and a method for assessing carbonate aggregates （AAR-5）. It also has a widened scope to seek international consistency in approaches to diagnosis （AAR-6） and specification （AAR-7） and in the assessment of alkali release from aggregates （AAR-8）. This paper reviews the overall progress of TC 191-ARp;three other papers presented at the conference describe the detailed progress on particular aspects of the work.. The authors are respectively Secretary and Chairman of TC 191-ARp （and previously of TC 106） and the leader of the TC 191-ARp team developing AAR-4.

AIM: To examine the changes in the histomorphology of the gastric, jejunal and colonic wall of dogs due to physiological aging. METHODS: Full thickness biopsies were taken from the gastrointestinal tracts of 28 dogs of different ages. The thickness of the different layers of the wall was measured and the numbers of proliferating cells as indicated by immunohistochemical detection of Ki67 were counted. RESULTS: In the three excision sites, the thickness of all subepithelial layers increased with rising age. The strongest correlation between age and thickness of the intestinal wall was found in the first 10 years of life and in the jejunum (r = 0.6-0.71 for the deep lamina propria mucosa, the muscularis mucosa, and the circular layer of the tunica muscularis). The number of proliferating cells decreased during aging, with the strongest correlation in the lamina propria mucosa and lamina muscularis mucosa of the jejunum and in the colonic submucosa (r = -0.61 to -0.71). Epithelial proliferation was only weakly correlated to the age. CONCLUSION: The morphology of the deeper layers and the proliferation of mesenchymal cells of the intestinal wall of healthy dogs are correlated with age. Gastrointestinal epithelial proliferation is only weakly age-correlated.

The transfer of proteins and nucleic acids from donor to acceptor cells via small membrane vesicles has been implicated with (patho)physiological consequences. previously the upregulation of esterification and downregulation of lipolysis in small rat adipocytes upon incubation with exosomes and microvesicles (EMVs) released from large adipocytes and harbouring the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GpI)-anchored proteins, Gce1 and CD73, transcripts specific for FSp27 and GpAT3, and microRNAs, miR-16 and miR-222 was demonstrated. Here the release of EMVs from large (but not small) primary and differentiated and human rat adipocytes in response to palmitate, H2O2 and the anti-diabetic sulfonylurea, glimepiride, is shown to be significantly reduced upon inhibition of histone H3 lysine9 methyltransferase G9a by trans-2-phenylcyclopropylamine (tpCpA) and histone H3 lysine4 demethylase LSD1 by BIX01294. Inhibition of EMV release by tpCpA and BIX01294 was not caused by apoptosis but accompanied by upregulation of the H2O2-induced stimulation of lipid synthesis and downregulation of lipolysis in large (but not small) primary and differentiated rat and human adipocytes. In contrast, the simultaneous presence of tpCpA and BIX-01294 had almost no effect on the induced release of EMVs and lipid metabolism. These findings argue for regulation of the release of EMVs harbouring specific GpI-anchored proteins, transcripts and microRNAs from rat and human adipocytes by histone H3 methylation at lysines 4 and 9 in interdependent fashion. Thus the EMV-mediated transfer of lipogenic and anti-lipolytic information between large and small adipocytes in response to certain physiological and pharmacological stimuli seems to be controlled by epigenetic mechanisms.
