Weakly supervised machine learning algorithms are able to learn from ambiguous samples or labels, e.g., multi-instance learning or partial-label learning. however, in some real-world tasks, each training sample is associated with not only multiple instances but also a candidate label set that contains one groundtruth label and some false positive labels. Specifically, at least one instance pertains to the ground-truth label while no instance belongs to the false positive labels. In this paper, we formalize such problems as multi-instance partial-label learning(MIpL). Existing multi-instance learning algorithms and partial-label learning algorithms are suboptimal for solving MIpL problems since the former fails to disambiguate a candidate label set, and the latter cannot handle a multi-instance bag. To address these issues, a tailored algorithm named MIpLGp, i.e., multi-instance partial-label learning with Gaussian processes, is *** first assigns each instance with a candidate label set in an augmented label space, then transforms the candidate label set into a logarithmic space to yield the disambiguated and continuous labels via an exclusive disambiguation strategy, and last induces a model based on the Gaussian processes. Experimental results on various datasets validate that MIpLGp is superior to well-established multi-instance learning and partial-label learning algorithms for solving MIpL problems.

highly efficient and stable iron electrodes are of great significant to the development of iron-air battery(IAB).In this paper,iron nanoparticle-encapsulated C–N composite(NanoFe@CN)was synthesized by pyrolysis using polyaniline as the C–N *** performance of the NanoFe@CN in different electrolytes(alkaline,neutral,and quasi-neutral)was investigated via cyclic voltammetry(CV).The IAB was assembled with NanoFe@CN as the anode and IrO_(2)+pt/C as the *** effects of different discharging/charging current densities and electrolytes on the battery performance were also *** K_(2)SO_(4)electrolyte can effectively suppress the passivation of iron electrode,and the battery showed a good cycling stability during 180 charging/discharging *** to the pure nano-iron(NanoFe)battery,the NanoFe@CN battery has a more stable cycling stability either in KOh or Nh_(4)Cl+KCl electrolyte.

Cnoidal waves are a type of nonlinear periodic wave solutions of the nonlinear dynamic *** are well known in fluid dynamics,but it is not the case in *** this paper we show both experimentally and numerically that cnoidal waves could be formed in a fiber laser either in the net normal or net anomalous cavity dispersion regime,especially because,as the pump power is increased,the formed cnoidal waves could eventually evolve into a train of bright(in the net anomalous cavity dispersion regime)or dark(in the net normal cavity dispersion regime)*** simulations of the laser operation based on the extended nonlinear Schrödinger equation(NLSE)have well reproduced the experimental *** result not only explains why solitons can still be formed in a fiber laser even without mode locking but also suggests a new effective way of automatic stable periodic pulse train generation in lasers with a nonlinear cavity.

This paper investigates the steady-state thermoelastic problem of a circular nanohole embedded in an infinitely large elastic plane subjected to a uniform far-field heat flux.A lowly conductive surface model is used to account for the effects of surface phonon scattering,while the complete Gurtin–Murdoch model is utilized to characterize the effects of surface tension and surface *** closed-form solution to the temperature and stress field surrounding the hole is derived in the context of complex variable *** numerical examples are presented to analyze the influence of surface effects on thermal stress *** is shown that surface effects induce notable increases in normal and shear stresses around the ***,all three stress components(hoop,normal,and shear)in the vicinity of the hole exhibit substantial augmentation with increasing surface tension and surface *** particular,it is found that the presence of surface effects amplifies the variation in stress gradients and intensifies stress concentration around the hole.

In order to provide basic design parameters for the industrial pyrolysis process,the transformation behavior of nitrogen was investigated using wheat straw as raw *** distributions of nitrogen in pyrolysis char,oil,and gas were obtained and the nitrogenous components in the products were analyzed systematically by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XpS),pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(py-GC/MS)and thermogravimetric-Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(TG-FTIR).The nitrogen distribution ranges of the pyrolysis char,oil,and gas were 37.34%–54.82%,32.87%–40.94%and 10.20%–28.83%,*** nitrogen was retained in char at lower pyrolysis temperature and the nitrogen distribution of oil was from rise to decline with increasing *** most abundant N-containing compounds in three-phase products were pyrrole-N,amines,and hCN,*** addition,the transformation mechanism of nitrogen from wheat straw to pyrolysis products was concluded.

Investigation of Adhesive perception Based on Friction and Brain Activation

The enhancement of adhesive perception is crucial to maintaining a stable and comfortable grip of the skin-touch *** study the tactile perception of adhesive surfaces,subjective evaluation,skin friction and vibrations,and neurophysiological response of the brain activity were investigated *** materials,which are commonly used for bionic materials and skin-touch products,were chosen for the tactile *** results showed that with the increasing of surface adhesion,the dominant friction transferred from a combination of adhesive friction and deformation friction to adhesive *** friction coefficient and vibration amplitude had strong correlations with the perceived adhesion of *** parietal lobe and occipital lobe were involved in adhesive perceptions,and the area and intensity of brain activation increased with the increasing surface *** with larger adhesion tended to excite a high p300 amplitude and short latency,indicating that the judgment was faster and that more attentional resources were involved in adhesive ***,the electroencephalograph signals of the adhesive perception were simulated by the neural mass *** demonstrated that the excitability and intensity of brain activity,and the connectivity strength between two neural masses increased with the increasing surface *** study is meaningful to understand the role of surface adhesion in tactile friction and the cognitive mechanism in adhesive perception to improve the tactile experience of adhesive materials.

Flasher origami pattern has been widely utilized to improve the stowage efficiency of deployable ***,flasher origami cannot be folded fully flat,and they still have great potential for optimization in terms of storage volume and folding *** this paper,a flat foldable equiangular spiral folding pattern inspired by the sunflower disk is ***,a parametric design method for this equiangular spiral crease diagram is introduced in ***,a kinematic model of the equiangular spiral folding pattern is established based on the kinematic equivalence between rigid origami and spherical linkages.A simulation of the developed model demonstrates that the equiangular spiral folding pattern can be folded *** the folded ratio as an evaluation index,the calculated results and experiments show that the equiangular spiral crease pattern can yield fewer creases and improve stowage efficiency in comparison to flasher origami *** spiral folding pattern can save a considerable amount of space and provide a new approach to spatially deployable structures.
