测定了一个蜂场中19群西方蜜蜂的季节产蜜量、工蜂蛹重、工蜂成蜂寿命和工蜂花粉篮大小。产蜜量与花粉篮的长度和面积呈显著相关(相关系数分别为r=+0.551,ppp<0.0012)。选育花粉篮大的蜜蜂可提高产蜜量,因为可以有较多的花粉带入蜂群,进而可扩大幼虫面积和延长所培育工蜂的寿命。花粉篮面积是影响全年蜂群产蜜量的一个重要因素,特别是在蜂群平均增重较大的几个星期。

This paper presents a novel onboard system called In-Flight Awareness Augmentation System (IFAp>2p>S) to improve flight safety. IFAp>2p>S is designed to semi-automatically (with human supervision) avoid hazards and accidents due to either internal or external causal factors. The requirements were defined in an innovative way using Systems-Theoretic process Analysis (STpA) method and applied next to model the system. IFAp>2p>S increases aircraft awareness regarding both itself and its environment and, at the same time, recognizes platform and operational constraints to act in accordance to predefined decision algorithms. Results are presented through simulations and flight tests using state machines designed to allow the adoption of appropriate actions for the identified hazards. The different decision algorithms are evaluated over as many as possible hazard situations by simulations conducted with software Labview and Xplane flight simulator. Flight tests are performed in a small fixed wing aircraft and make use of a limited version IFAp>2p>S, partially attending identified requirements. Results support the conclusion that IFAp>2p>S is capable of improving flight safety.

A novel layer deletion method is used to experimentally investigate the effect of induced shielding current transmission (ISCT) in the longitudinal direction on the levitation force of a single-domain YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) cylindrical superconductor (f30? mm). In the experiment the sample was gradually sliced into two equal sheets, at the middle height along a diameter with 5 mm every step. The experimental results show that the levitation force is closely related with the ISCT in the longitudinal direction. Any layer deletion, even a small piece of layer deletion can reduce the levitation force of the sample. After the whole layer was deleted the levitation force can diminish about 50%. It is also found that the levitation force is directly proportional to the effective factor of surface area, which is equal to the top surface area divided by the total surface area parallel to the top surface of the sample.

A new bimetallic complex containing Zn and La was prepared from a salen ligand possessing methoxyl groups at the 3, 3′-positions. The structural feature is that one of nitrate groups is disordered and displaced between two metal centers. Crystal system: Triclinic space group:p-1, Z=2. a=0.82714(17) nm, b=1.3484(3) (1) nm, and c=1 3898(3) (1) nm, α=79.89(3)°, β=76.67(3)°, and γ=72.43(3)°. V=1 428 6(5) nm3, Dx=1.812 g·cm-3. (Δρ)max=1 510×10-3 enm3, (Δρ)min=-1.503×10-3 enm3. Accordingly, two water molecules occupy the metal centers in the apical positions via the syn-geometry.

Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is located in southern part of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The highest Lotus Flower peak is 1864 m above sea level. Formative ages of the Huangshan and its granite,process of mountain geomorphic evolution from the Eocene to Quaternary,environmental changes of Quaternary, formative origin of beautiful peaks and fascinating rocks were studied and the questionable 'pleistocene glaciation' was also discussed in this paper.

Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis are a heterogeneous group of debilitating disorders with multifactorial etiologies and pathogeneses that manifest distinct molecular mechanisms and clinical manifestations with abnormal protein dynamics and impaired bioenergetics. Mitochondrial dysfunction is emerging as an important feature in the etiopathogenesis of these age-related neurodegenerative diseases. The prevalence and incidence of these diseases is on the rise with the increasing global population and average lifespan. Although many therapeutic approaches have been tested, there are currently no effective treatment routes for the prevention or cure of these diseases. We present the current status of our knowledge and understanding of the involvement of mitochondrial dysfunction in these diseases and highlight recent advances in novel therapeutic strategies targeting neuronal bioenergetics as potential approach for treating these diseases.

New radiolarian ages show that the island arc-related Acoje block of the Zambales Ophiolite Complex is possibly of Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous *** dating of its plutonic and volcanichypabyssal rocks yielded middle Eocene *** the other hand,the paleontological dating of the sedimentary carapace of the transitional mid-ocean ridge-island arc affiliated Coto block of the ophiolite complex,together with isotopic age datings of its dikes and mafic cumulate rocks,also yielded Eocene *** offers the possibility that the Zambales Ophiolite Complex could have:(1)evolved from a Mesozoic arc(Acoje block)that split to form a Cenozoic back-arc basin(Coto block),(2)through faulting,structurally juxtaposed a Mesozoic oceanic crust with a younger Cenozoic lithospheric fragment or(3)through the interplay of slab rollback,slab break-off and,at a later time,collision with a microcontinent fragment,caused the formation of an island arc-related ophiolite block(Acoje)that migrated trench-ward resulting into the generation of a back-arc basin(Coto block)with a limited subduction *** Meso-Cenozoic ophiolite complex is compared with the other oceanic lithosphere fragments along the western seaboard of the philippines in the context of their evolution in terms of their recognized environments of generation.

Objective:To configure and validate a novel prostate disease nomogram providing prostate biopsy outcome probabilities from a prospective study correlating clinical indicators and diagnostic parameters among Filipino adult male with elevated serum total prostate specific antigen(pSA)***:All men with an elevated serum total pSA underwent initial prostate biopsy at our institution from January 2011 to August 2014 were *** indicators,diagnostic parameters,which include pSA level and pSA-derivatives,were collected as predictive factors for biopsy *** logistic-regression analysis involving a backward elimination selection procedure was used to select independent predictors.A nomogram was developed to calculate the probability of the biopsy *** validation of the nomogram was performed using separate data set from another center for determination of sensitivity and specificity.A receiver-operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to assess the accuracy in predicting differential biopsy outcome.
