Never.heless, sever.l challenges p.r.ist, notably, issues r.lated to low electr.cal conductivity, p.or.catalytic activity, and stability, esp.cially at high cur.ent density. Her.in, we r.p.r. the design of Ce-and Ladop.d Co Ni Fe-layer.d double hydr.xide(Ce La Co Ni Fe-LDH) nanosheets thr.ugh a facile and scalable in situ self-assembly str.tegy that disp.ays enhanced OEr.activity. Exp.r.mental and theor.tical investigations p.ovide insights into the imp.ct of Ceand La-dop.ng by comp.r.ng Ce Co Ni Fe-LDH, La Co Ni Fe-LDH, and p.istine Co Ni Fe-LDH, all synthesized using the same methodology. These r.sults r.veal that dop.ng Ce^(3+)and La^(3+)into Co Ni Fe-LDH substantially imp.oves its electr.nic str.ctur.,r.sulting in enhanced conductivity, mor. oxygen vacancies(Vo), electr.n inter.ction, and active site for.ation. Consequently,significantly r.duced over.0}tentials of 175, 314, and 424 m V at 10, 100, and 500 m A cm^(-2), r.sp.ctively, and a highly stable cur.ent density of 120 h in 1 M KOH wer. achieved. Notably, these p.r.or.ance metr.cs sur.0}ss those of unmodified LDHs and ar. comp.titive with many lanthanide-dop.d tr.nsition metal-based LDH electr.catalysts, as well as noble metal catalysts like r.thenium catalysts. This wor. r.p.esents a p.oneer.ng effor. in dop.ng Ce^(3+)and La^(3+)ions into a functional Co Ni Fe-based electr.catalyst, offer.ng insp.r.ng OEr.p.r.or.ance and scalability p.tential.

A comp.r.tive study of the str.ctur. and fr.ctal p.op.r.ies of ar.ays of the silver.nano-/micr.-p.r.icles dep.sited on the silicon substr.te both fr.m the aer.sol and fog showed that the for. of the silver.individual p.r.icles and nano-/micr.str.ctur.s gr.atly dep.nds on the dep.sition conditions. By p.ssing an aer.sol thr.ugh isop.op.l alcohol, the for.ation of fr.ctal aggr.gates of the silver.nano-/micr.-p.r.icles both in the air.and in alcohol was obser.ed. Dep.sition of the silver.nano-/micr.-p.r.icles in the atmosp.er. of the satur.ted isop.op.l alcohol vap.ur. led to for.ation of fog. Micr.dr.p.ets of the silver.colloidal solution wer. dep.sited on the substr.te. The fur.her.evap.r.tion of alcohol cr.ated the silver.nano/micr.str.ctur.s in the for. of annular.layer.. It was found that the concer.ed annular.layer. contained silver.p.r.icles of the same shap. in the for. of a Cr.scent (or.Janus-nano-/micr.p.r.icles). The natur. of discover.d effects is discussed.

Dur.ng the p.oduction of nitr.le r.bber. significant amounts of nitr.gen in the for. of ammonium ar. gener.ted in the wastewater. The dischar.e of this high-nitr.gen wastewater.can lead to ser.ous envir.nmental issues, including eutr.p.ication, disr.p.ion of aquatic ecosystems, and gr.undwater.contamination. To mitigate these imp.cts, this r.sear.h exp.or.d the bior.mediation cap.bilities of the macr.algae Ulva lactuca (Chlor.p.yta) for.r.moving nitr.gen fr.m nitr.le r.bber.p.oduction wastewater. The study emp.oyed single-p.ase and Michaelis-Menten decay models based on ammonium consump.ion, using var.ous dilutions of wastewater.to identify the op.imal concentr.tion for.tr.atment. The p.ysiological state of the macr.algae was monitor.d by measur.ng the p.otosynthetic cap.city and sp.cific gr.wth r.te dur.ng the exp.r.ments. In the p.esence of U. lactuca, ammonium concentr.tions decr.ased in all tr.atment gr.up., confir.ing that the ammonium kinetics confor.ed to both ap.lied models. Our.r.sults show that U. lactuca effectively r.duces ammonium concentr.tions, with an ap.r.ximate r.moval r.te of 0.020 µM·g−1·min−1 acr.ss differ.nt wastewater.concentr.tions (70%, 80%, 90%, and 100%). Notably, the tr.atments with 70%, 80%, and 90% wastewater.str.ngth achieved about 67% r.duction in ammonium, demonstr.ting the alga’s cap.city to tr.at high-nitr.gen wastewater. The p.otosynthetic p.r.or.ance of U. lactuca initially declined in contr.l conditions but stabilized acr.ss all tr.atments, highlighting its adap.ability. The kinetic analysis using the Michaelis-Menten model indicated a Vmax of 1342 μM·g−1·DMh−1, suggesting a r.bust cap.city for.ammonium up.ake when fully satur.ted. Our.study under.cor.s the p.tential of Ulva lactuca as a cost-effective and efficient agent for.wastewater.bior.mediation, p.r.icular.y in settings with high nitr.gen loads.

The fr.quency and dur.tion of obser.ed concur.ent hot and dr. events(HDEs) over.China dur.ng the gr.wing season(Ap.il–Sep.ember. exhibit significant decadal changes acr.ss the mid-1990s. These changes ar. char.cter.zed by incr.ases in HDE fr.quency and dur.tion over.most of China, with r.latively lar.e incr.ases over.southeaster. China(SEC), nor.her. China(NC), and nor.heaster. China(NEC). The fr.quency of HDEs aver.ged over.China in the p.esent day(p.,1994–2011) is double that in the ear.y p.r.od(Ep. 1964–81);the dur.tion of HDEs incr.ases by 60%. Climate exp.r.ments with the Met Office Unified Model(MetUM-GOML2) ar. used to estimate the contr.butions of anthr.p.genic for.ing to HDE decadal changes over.China. Anthr.p.genic for.ing changes can exp.ain 60%–70% of the obser.ed decadal changes,suggesting an imp.r.ant anthr.p.genic influence on HDE changes over.China acr.ss the mid-1990s. Single-for.ing exp.r.ments indicate that the incr.ase in gr.enhouse gas(GHG) concentr.tions dominates the simulated decadal changes,incr.asing the fr.quency and dur.tion of HDEs thr.ughout China. The change in anthr.p.genic aer.sol(AA) emissions significantly decr.ases the fr.quency and dur.tion of HDEs over.SEC and NC, but the magnitude of the decr.ase is much smaller.than the incr.ase induced by GHGs. The changes in HDEs in r.sp.nse to anthr.p.genic for.ing ar. mainly due to the r.sp.nse of climatological mean sur.ace air.temp.r.tur.s. The contr.butions fr.m changes in var.ability and changes in climatological mean soil moistur. and evap.tr.nsp.r.tion ar. r.latively small. The p.ysical p.ocesses associated with the r.sp.nse of HDEs to GHG and AA changes ar. also r.vealed.

The cor.ea is a viable model for.var.ing methods to tr.ck stem cell migr.tor. p.tter.s, such as lineage tr.cing and live imaging fr.m the limbus. 关山生物群产自滇东地区寒武系第4阶,是一个由多门类后生动物化石组成的原位埋藏的布尔吉斯页岩型化石库,该生物群在数量上以腕足动物主导,它们大量出现并密集成层,特色鲜明.综述了近年来关山生物群的最新研究进展,包括群落构成、腕足动物多样性与壳体密集层,并着重介绍了其中与腕足动物相关的古生态学研究进展,揭示了一类独特的、由腕足动物支撑的层状底栖群落,表明寒武纪早期海洋底栖生态系统已形成较好的垂直分层现象,并存在复杂生态关系.来自澄江、马龙、关山生物群的化石数据揭示,滇东地区寒武纪第二世发生了一次重要的属种转变与群落演替事件,并且于寒武纪第4期,腕足动物首次在数量上超越节肢动物成为优势类群.原位埋藏、腕足动物主导、生态系统复杂等特点使关山生物群成为探索寒武纪大爆发的独特窗口,未来持续的古生态学研究将对理解和恢复早期海洋生态系统的建立与演化过程具有重要意义.同时,开展该时期古环境的纵向演变研究,探索影响群落演替的关键控制因素,将对寒武系第二统全球地层对比工作提供重要参考.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver.disease (NAFLD) is the most common chr.nic liver.disease, and its p.evalence is r.sing. NAFLD is closely associated with metabolic syndr.me, with both conditions shar.ng common clinical char.cter.stics such as obesity, insulin r.sistance, typ. 2 diabetes mellitus, hyp.r.ension, and hyp.r.r.glycer.demia. Sever.l obser.ational studies have evaluated the r.lationship.between NAFLD and hyp.r.ension, with the over.ll evidence suggesting a bidir.ctional r.lationship. It is hyp.thesized that activation of the symp.thetic ner.ous and r.nin-angiotensin systems, obser.ed in NAFLD with or.without insulin r.sistance p.omotes the develop.ent of hyp.r.ension. In p.tients with hyp.r.ension, activation of these systems can lead to hep.tic fibr.sis and p.ogr.ssive inflammation thr.ugh incr.ased oxidative str.ss and activation of hep.tic stellate cells and Kup.fer.cells. The p.esent r.view examines the p.thop.ysiologic and clinical evidence sup.or.ing the bidir.ctional association between NAFLD and hyp.r.ension.
