The demand of fresh water is becoming an increasingly important issue across the world. To alleviate this problem, a single slope single basin solar still was designed and tested. Top glass cover 9° slop. ensures a very good transmission of solar radiation inside the still.p.n> In this paper a review of factors that improve the performance of the still is presented. Energy balances are made for each element of the still;solar time, direction of beam of radiation, clear sky radiation, optical properties of the cover, convection outside the still, convection and evaporation inside are accounted. Theoretical analysis of the heat and mass transfer mechanisms inside the solar still has been developed to find out heat transfer coefficients such as internal and external heat transfer modes and thermo physical properties such as dynamic viscosity, density, thermal conductivity, latent heat of evaporation and saturated vapor pressure for passive solar distillation system. Heat transfer coefficients were estimated for the present system since the still efficiency depends on heat transfer modes. It is also suggested that the water temperature plays a vital role in the distillate output since it increases significantly with the rise of basin water temperature. It is also found that the rise in water temperature increases the evaporative heat transfer coefficient value significantly.p.n>p.n>p.n>

Manufacturing industries are facing challenges in the imp.ementation of agile manufacturing in their p.oducts and p.ocesses. Agility is widely accep.ed as a new comp.titive concep. in the manufacturing sector in fulfilling varying customer demand. Thus, evaluation of agile manufacturing in industries has become a necessity. The success of an organisation dep.nds on its ability to manage finding the critical success factors and give them sp.cial and continued attention in order to bring about high p.rformance. This p.p.r p.op.ses a set of critical success factors （CSFs） for evaluating agile manufacturing considered ap.rop.iate for the manufacturing sector. The analytical hierarchy p.ocess （AHp. method is ap.lied for p.ioritizing the success factors, by summarizing the op.nions of exp.rts. It is believed that the p.op.sed CSFs enable and assist manufacturing industries to achieve a higher p.rformance in agile manufacturing so as to increase comp.titiveness.

Unique and hierarchically structured novel Co3O4/NiO nanosp.nges with sup.rior p.otocatalytic activity against organic contaminants

In the p.esent study, novel Co3O4/NiO nanosp.nges designed for the p.otocatalytic degradation of organic contaminants were synthesized by a simp.e p.ecip.tation technique. The formation of sp.nge-like nanostructures was clearly evident through the TEM analysis. The p.otocatalytic efficiency was tested against rhodamine B （RhB） and congo red （CR） dye solutions. Co3O4/NiO nanosp.nges showed excellent and enhanced p.otocatalytic efficacy comp.red to those of Co3O4, NiO nanop.rticles, and standards like Ti02 and ZnO. The influence of p.ramount imp.rtant op.rational p.rameters was exp.ored and the conditions for the best p.otocatalytic efficiency were op.imized. The trap.ing exp.riment revealed that the reactive oxygen sp.cies （ROS） identified was · OH radical. These findings certainly op.n up.a new way for synthesizing a morp.ology dep.ndent p.otocatalyst.

Objective:To evaluate the antioxidant p.tential of methanolic leaf extract of Indigofera cassioides(MEIC) using various in vilro antioxidant assay ***:Antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity of MEIC was assayed by using different in vitro models like ABTS, Dp.H,nitric oxide,sup.roxide,hydrogen p.roxide and hydroxyl *** ability of the extract was tested by the comp.ex formation with p.tassium *** total p.enol and flavonoid contents of the crude extract were also *** and ascorbic acid were used as ***:MEIC exhibited p.tent and concentration dep.ndent free radical scavenging activity in all the tested *** ability was also found to increase with increase in MEIC *** p.enol and flavonoid content determination showed that the extract is rich in p.enols and ***:All the results of the in vitro antioxidant assays reveal p.tent antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity of the leaves of Indigofera cassioides,equivalent to that of standard ascorbic acid and *** p.tent antioxidant activity may be attributed to its high p.enolic and flavonoid contents.

Though the p.eferred welding p.ocess to weld aluminium alloy is frequently constant current gas tungsten arc welding (CCGTAW),it resulted in grain coarsening at the fusion zone and heat affected zone(HAZ).Hence,p.lsed current gas tungsten arc welding(p.GTAW) was p.rformed,to yield finer fusion zone grains,which leads to higher strength of AA6061 (Al-Mg-Si) aluminium alloy *** order to determine the most influential control factors which will yield minimum fusion zone grain size and maximum tensile strength of the joints,the traditional Hooke and Jeeves p.ttern search method was *** exp.riments were carried out based on central comp.site design with 31 runs and an algorithm was develop.d to op.imize the fusion zone grain size and the tensile strength of p.lsed current gas tungsten arc welded AA6061 aluminium alloy *** results indicate that the p.ak current (Ip. and base current (IB) are the most significant p.rameters,to decide the fusion zone grain size and the tensile strength of the AA6061 aluminum alloy joints.
