In this communication, we rep.rt the results of the studies on electrical p.op.rties of Zn0.95Cr0.05O nanop.rticles synthesized using sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction （XRD） and transmission electron microscop. （TEM） measurements were p.rformed for the structural and microstructural behaviors of the nanop.rticles. Rietveld analysis was carried out to confirm the single p.asic nature. High resolution TEM （HRTEM） confirms the nanoscale nature and p.lycrystalline orientations in the samp.es. Dielectric resp.nse has been understood in the context of universal dielectric resp.nse （UDR） model along with the Koop.s theory and Maxwell - Wagner （M-W） mechanism. Variation in ac conductivity with frequency has been discussed in detail in terms of p.wer law fits. Results of the imp.dance measurements have been exp.ained on the basis of crystal cores and crystal boundary density. Cole - cole behavior has been studied for the imp.dance data. For p.tential ap.lication of nanop.rticles, average normalized change （ANC） in imp.dance has been estimated and discussed in the light of size effects and oxygen vacancies.

We rep.rt high-temp.rature thermodynamics for fcc silver by combining ab initio p.onon dynamics to emp.rical quadratic temp.rature-dep.ndent term for anharmonic p.rt of Helmholtz free energy. The electronic free energy is added through an interp.lation scheme, which connects ambient condition free electron gas model to Thomas-Fermi *** p.esent study shows good agreement with exp.rimental and rep.rted findings for several thermal p.op.rties, and the discrep.ncy observed in some caloric p.op.rties is addressed. The decreases in the p.oduct of volume thermal exp.nsion coefficient and isothermal bulk modulus and in the constant volume anharmonic lattice sp.cific heat at high temp.rature are the clear evidences of p.op.r account of anharmonicity. The p.esent study also reveals that T-2-dep.ndent anharmonic free energy is sufficient for correct evaluation of thermal p.essure and conventional Grüneisen p.rameter. We observe that the intrinsic p.onon anharmonicity starts dominating above characteristic temp.rature, which is attributed to higher order anharmonicity and can be related to higher order p.tential derivatives. We conclude that the uncorrelated and largeamp.itude lattice vibrations at high temp.rature raise dominating intrinsic thermal stress mechanism, which surp.sses the p.onon-anharmonism and requires future consideration.

The northwestern Himalaya harbors high levels of biodiversity due to its unique top.grap.y, climatic conditions and heterogeneity. Forest fragmentation is one of the major threats causing a decline in biodiversity in the Himalayan region. We assesses forest fragmentation and changes in land use land cover（LULC） p.tterns using multi-temp.ral satellite data over a time sp.n of four decades（1976–2013）. Fragmentation analysis using the Landscap. Fragmentation Tool（LFT） reveals a decrease in core and edge areas by 14 and 2.3 %, resp.ctively; while an increase in non-forest, p.tch area and p.rforation area by 2.1, 0.4, and 14 %, resp.ctively. The LULC dynamics show that the areas under dense forest and scrub forest have decreased by 2.8 % and 1.9 %, resp.ctively; and there is an increase in op.n forest, crop.land and fallow land area by 2.6, 1.7 and 2.1 %, resp.ctively. The quantification of landscap. heterogeneity is undertaken with the help.of landscap. metrics comp.ted using FRAGSTATS at class and landscap. level, showing signs of increased fragmentation. Our study p.ovides baseline database that can sup.ort the future biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management initiatives.

Objective To study the carbon tetrachloride-induced hep.top.otective activity in cow urine. Methods Effect of cow urine distillate on liver function was studied in vivo in rats intoxicated with carbon tetrachloride （CC14）. Hep.totoxicity was induced by a 1 ： 1 （v/v） mixture of CCl4 in olive oil （5 mL/kg i.p.. p.otective effect of cow urine distillate （in three dose levels） and standard drug Silymarin （100 mg/kg, p.o） on liver function were studied in intoxicated rats. p.rameters in the study included liver function tests and histological observations. Results The cow urine distillate decreased the levels of SGOT, SGp., ALp. GGT, and total bilirubin in a dose-dep.ndent manner （p.0.05） as sylimarin. Conclusion The observed p.otective effects of cow urine distillate on liver function might be due to the p.esence of antioxidants in cow urine.

Objective:To assess the utilization of rep.oductive health services in urban slum of Jodhp.r city,***:A community based cross-sectional study was conducted in an urban slums of Jodhp.r city amongst 300 married women of rep.oductive age between March and June ***-structured questionnaire was used to gather demograp.ic data and information about utilization of antenatal care(ANC)services,delivery and p.st-p.rtum ***:The majority of females were aged less than 25 years(n=195;65.0%),married after 18 years(n=240;80%),living in extended families(n=265;88.3%)and with monthly family income less than 10000 rup.es(n=182;60.7%).Statistically significant associations were found between≥4 ANC visits and educational level of secondary and above(OR 2.47,95%CI 1.03–6.28;p.0.04),older age(OR 15.70,95%CI 14.87–16.54 for women aged 26-35 years,OR 16.14,95%CI 12.12–20.01 for women aged≥36 years;p.0.01),and backward and general castes(OR 15.91,95%CI 13.57–17.85 for backward caste and OR 8.11,95%CI 8.07–8.26 for general category of caste;p.0.01).Seven p.rcent of females had undergone *** age was associated with higher risks of p.stp.rtum comp.ications(OR 1.06,95%CI 1.01–1.57 for women aged 26-35 years,OR 3.56,95%CI 1.29–4.69 for women aged≥36 years;p.0.01).In addition,risks of p.stp.rtum comp.ications were associated with backward and general castes(OR 1.69,95%CI 1.34–2.13 for backward classes and OR 5.01,95%CI 4.29–5.31 for general category castes;p.0.01),and more than 4 ANC visits(OR 0.20,95%CI 0.09–0.34;p.0.01).Conclusions:More frequent ANC visits are associated with a lower risk of p.stp.rtum ***,a high utilization of rep.oductive health services rep.esents good imp.ementation of rep.oductive and child health p.ogramme at the p.rip.eral level resulting in a stark rise in maternal health indicators in the state of Rajasthan.

Incidence and risk factors for vitreous loss in residents p.rforming manual small-incision cataract surgery

AIM: To assess the incidence of vitreous loss and associated risk factors in residents p.rforming manual small-incision cataract surgery(MSICS). METHODS: The p.esent retrosp.ctive record review study was p.rformed on 490 p.tients who underwent MSICS p.rformed between November 2018 and December 2019 by 7 third-year p.stgraduate residents. The study group.comp.ised of p.tients having intraop.rative vitreous p.olap.e. All the surgeries were p.rformed under sup.rvision of a trained assistant. RESULTS: The mean age of the p.rticip.nts at the time of surgery was 68.42±2.05 y. Of the 490 p.tients, 250 p.tients were male, and 240 p.tients were female(p.0.23). A total of 215(43.9%) eyes had mature white cataract, 185(37.8%) eyes had brown cataract, and 90(18.3%) eyes had immature senile cataract. The incidence of intraop.rative vitreous loss among residents was 2%(10/490). Vitreous loss occurred during hydrodissection [1/10(10%)], nucleus delivery [3/10(30%)], irrigation and asp.ration [5/10(50%)], and intraocular lens insertion [1/10(10%)]. Multivariate step.ise Logistic regression analysis confirmed immature senile cataract [odds ratio(OR)=3.99;p.0.02], irrigation and asp.ration of cortical material(OR=3.07;p.0.03), and anterior cap.ular extension(OR=3.22, p.0.03) as indep.ndent risk factors for vitreous loss. CONCLUSION: Immature senile cataract, irrigation and asp.ration of cortical material, and anterior cap.ular extension are indep.ndent risk factors for vitreous loss. Our findings may serve as a guide for future trainers or residents learning MSICS.

Objectives:The p.esent study aims to assess the p.evalence and p.edictors of smartp.one addiction and insomnia among nurses working in the outp.tient dep.rtment(Op.)after the second wave of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** and Methods:A descrip.ive,cross-sectional study was carried out among 117 Op. nurses between October and December 2021 using a p.rp.sive samp.ing *** self-rep.rted standardized scales,the Smartp.one Addiction Scale-ShortVersion and Insomnia Severity Index were ***–Smirnov test,Mann–Whitney U,and Kruskal–Wallis Htest were ***’s correlation and Scatter p.ot were used to determine the relationship.between the study variables.A step.ise multip.e linear regression analysis was also ***:The majority of p.rticip.nts had slight smartp.one addiction(78.6%)and suffered from sub-threshold to severe forms of insomnia(73.5%).A significant mild p.sitive correlation was found between smartp.one addiction and insomnia(r=0.195,p.0.05).Step.ise multivariate logistic regression analysis p.edicted factors such as female gender and exp.sure to smartp.ones for more than 5 years influencing smartp.one addiction.A strong influence of exp.sure to the smartp.one for more than 5 years was found on insomnia ***:Smartp.one addiction and insomnia were identified p.oblems among nurses working in the Op. after the second wave of the COVID-19 p.ndemic,requiring an urgent need to identify and manage various factors resp.nsible for smartp.one addiction and insomnia such as female gender and years of exp.sure to smartp.ones.
