Effect of Moringa oleifera on semen quality profiles in endangered Teressa goat under tropical humid island ecosystem

Objective:To investigate the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract on semen quality parameters in Teressa goat ***:A total of 25 semen samples from six bucks were selected for the *** of 150×10^(6) were incubated in 0,300,500 and 700μg of leaf extract as groupⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ,*** stored semen samples were analysed for motility,viability,total sperm abnormalities,plasma membrane,acrosomal and nuclear integrities,seminal plasma intracellular enzymes[aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)]and total antioxidant capacity(TAC)and spermatozoa malondialdehyde(MDA)and cholesterol efflux in comparison with the control group(groupⅠ)for up to 72 ***:Moringa oleifera leaf extract(500μg/150×10^(6) spermatozoa)-treated semen had significantly higher motility,viability,plasma membrane,acrosomal and nuclear integrities,and TAC(pperm abnormalities,AST,ALT,LDH,MDA production and cholesterol efflux compared to those in other Moringa oleifera leaf extract treated(300 or 700μg/150×10^(6) spermatozoa)and control groups at different hours of liquid storage(pparameters and TAC showed an increasing trend and total sperm abnormalities,MDA production,leakage of intra-cellular enzymes and cholesterol efflux showed a decreasing trend from group Ⅰto group Ⅲand then an opposite trend from group Ⅲ to group Ⅳ at different hours of liquid ***:Moringa oleifera leaf extract 500μg/150×10^(6) spermatozoa can be used for liquid semen preservation in Teressa goat at Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Document Clustering Using Graph Based Fuzzy Association Rule Generation

With the wider growth of web-based documents,the necessity of automatic document clustering and text summarization is ***,document summarization that is extracting the essential task with appropriate information,removal of unnecessary data and providing the data in a cohesive and coherent manner is determined to be a most confronting *** this research,a novel intelligent model for document clustering is designed with graph model and Fuzzy based association rule generation(gFAR).Initially,the graph model is used to map the relationship among the data(multi-source)followed by the establishment of document clustering with the generation of association rule using the fuzzy *** method shows benefit in redundancy elimination by mapping the relevant document using graph model and reduces the time consumption and improves the accuracy using the association rule generation with *** framework is provided in an interpretable way for document *** iteratively reduces the error rate during relationship mapping among the data(clusters)with the assistance of weighted document ***,this model represents the significance of data features with class *** is also helpful in measuring the significance of the features during the data clustering *** simulation is done with MATLAB 2016b environment and evaluated with the empirical standards like Relative Risk patterns(RRp),ROUGE score,and Discrimination Information Measure(DMI)***,DailyMail and DUC 2004 dataset is used to extract the empirical *** proposed gFAR model gives better trade-off while compared with various prevailing approaches.

Low density lipoprotein in cryopreservation of semen

Artificial insemination made a predominant contribution towards the improvement of genetic potential and increased productivity in animal husbandry sectors. In frozen semen technology, about 50% of sperm died because of cryoinjury or cryodamage during the process of cryopreservation and thawing of the semen. These cryo-damages can be minimized by use of various cryoprotective agents or cold shock absorbers in the frozen semen technology. Of which, egg yolk (EY) is most primarily important in the extender preparation for various mammalian species for longer period and it works against the cold shock during the cryopreservation process due to the presence of low density lipoproteins (LDL). Further, EY contains substances other than LDL that affect the sperm quality parameters especially reduced motility and inhibit the respiration of sperm;therefore, there was heavy demand on replacement of the EY with the particular responsible substances (LDL) in the semen extender. Later on, various investigators tried to extract the LDL from the EY of hen and finally succeeded to extract the LDL from the EY of hen for semen preservation of various species. The concentration of LDL used in various species is varied and this may be due to the composition and concentration of phospholipids, cholesterol and its proportion in the sperm membrane. In bovine species, the concentration of LDL was standardized as 8% (w/v) on dry matter basis. This is equal to 20% EY used in conventional semen extender. As it is explained that the 20% EY contains 68% LDL (13.6 g) and on dry matter basis, it is approximately 60% (8.16 g). This calculation indicates 20% EY contains 8% LDL on dry matter basis. The LDL protects the sperm by various mechanisms to maintain the integrity of sperm membrane, which is explained in the present review. Effect of foot and mouth disease vaccination on seminal antioxidant profiles of mithun (Bos frontalis)

Objective: To assess the deleterious effects of foot and mouth disease vaccination on antioxidant profiles as well as oxidative stress in the semen of breeding mithun bulls. Methods: A total of 160 semen samples were collected from 8 adult healthy mithun bulls with good body condition score (5-6), which were maintained at semen collection centre, ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, Nagaland, India, twice a week, 4 weeks before vaccination (pre-vaccination stage) and 12 weeks after vaccination (post-vaccination stage) to understand and know the influence of vaccine stress on seminal antioxidant as well as oxidative stress profiles in mithun. Vaccine was injected at the end of week 4 and semen samples were collected & analysed up to week 16 of the investigation period. Results: Data analysis showed that foot and mouth disease vaccination has significantly (pprofiles up to week 10th of vaccine administration. However, the immunised bulls were recovered in physical health status, semen production and its antioxidant profiles gradually. Conclusions: The results of the present study suggest that the semen sample collection as well as preservation should to be suspended up to week 10th of post immunization to get antioxidant and biochemical profiles in normal level in the semen to preserve normal conception rate in artificial breeding programme by using such semen in mithun species.

Objective:To measure seasonal effects on semen quality profiles,seminal biochemical and oxidative stress attributes in fresh and liquid stored semen in monsoon and dry ***:A total of 10 Teressa bucks(3-4 years)were selected from breeding farm,ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute,port Blair,Andaman and Nicobar Islands,*** samples(n=25 per season)were collected through artificial vagina method and preserved at refrigerated temperature(5℃)for 48 h using Tris citrate glucose based *** detected semen quality parameters[volume,mass activity,pH,sperm concentration,total motility,viability,total sperm abnormality,and plasma membrane,acrosomal and nuclear integrities],biochemical profiles[aspartate amino transferase(AST),alanine amino transferase(ALT)and total cholesterol],and oxidative stress markers[total antioxidant capacity(TAC)and malondialdehyde(MDA)]during monsoon and dry ***:Semen quality parameters significantly differed between seasons(pperiods(ppH,mass activity,motility,viability,acrosomal,plasma membrane and nuclear integrities,and TAC were significantly higher(pperm concentration,sperm abnormalities,MDA,AST,ALT and total cholesterol were significantly lower in fresh semen of monsoon than dry season(pplasma membrane and nuclear integrities,and TAC were significantly decreased(pperm abnormality,AST,ALT,total cholesterol and MDA were significantly increased as liquid semen storage period advanced(pprofiles and liquid stored semen remained usable for upto 48 *** quality ejaculates with higher TAC and lower MDA can be cryopreserved and will be used for artificial insemination.

Seasonal effect on physiological, reproductive and fertility profiles in breeding mithun bulls

Objective:To analyse the seasonal effect on physiological parameters, reproductive profiles andin vitro fertility in breeding mithun ***: A total of ten adult mithun bulls age of 5 to 6 years old with good body condition (score 5-6) were selected from ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Jharnapani, Nagaland, India. The seasons were categorised into winter, spring, summer and autumn seasons based on the meteorological data and sunshine hours. The physiological parameters, reproductive profiles andin vitro fertility parameters were assessed during different seasons in mithun under the semi-intensive system of ***:The statistical analysis revealed that these experimental parameters were differed significantly (ppring and winter seasons were more beneficial in mithun breeding programme, although, the breeding in mithun occurred throughout the year with ***:It is concluded that collection & preservation of mithun semen and artificial insemination in mithun species during the season of spring and winter has significant beneficial effect in terms of semen production, freezability and fertility for artificial breeding programme in mithun under the semi-intensive system.

Seasonal variations of phytoplankton diversity in the Coleroon coastal waters,southeast coast of India

Influence of Deposition Time on the Microstructure and Transport properties of CdO Thin Films prepared by Chemical Bath Deposition

Transparent thin films of CdO has been deposited on to glass substrates employing chemical bath deposition. The prepared films are reproducible, adherent to the substrate, pinhole free and uniform. Amongst the different process parameters, the deposition time plays a significant role in obtaining device quality transparent CdO thin films. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) studies indicated that the thin films are polycrystalline in nature with cubic phase with a cell constant of a = 4.638 ?. The surface morphology of the prepared CdO thin films was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The films deposited at 24 hrs exhibited highest optical transmittivity (>80%) and the direct band gap energy was found to vary from 2.50 to 2.91 eV with a rise deposition time from 6 to 30 hrs. The electrical resitivity variations of these films were measured in the temperature range between 30?C and 150?C by four-probe technique.
